Alex Bethanis offered a superb service from valuation to completion. She adopted a pragmatic and down to earth approach which ultimately achieved a successful sale stc within a month. She photographed and marketed the property herself, in addition to showing all prospective buyers around whilst demonstrating excellent knowledge of the local area. Alex stepped in again to mediate between all parties, including solicitors, when negotiations became difficult. I have nothing but praise for her approachable and professional attitude at all times. Alex Irwin progressed the sale efficiently and kept me informed regularly and at all stages of the process. I met Julia from EweMove Sales and Lettings (Hexham & Tyne Valley) for a property appraisal back in September following some renovations, and I was genuinely impressed with the whole experience. The booking process was straightforward, and Julia was punctual, professional and very friendly and easy to deal with from the outset. The appraisal itself was thorough and clearly well thought through, she took the time to understand the property properly and explained her views in a clear, balanced and commercially realistic way. What stood out in particular was her market knowledge and the way she communicated it. There was no pressure, just sensible, well-reasoned advice, which made the whole process feel both reassuring and informative. It was also very easy to ask questions and discuss different options. Julia clearly takes pride in what she does and in supporting clients across Hexham and the Tyne Valley. I would highly recommend Julia to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, approachable and reliable estate and lettings agent.

Restoring faith

On approaching the sale of our property, we were sceptical about the value estate agents could offer, based primarily on previous experience. We're pleased to say that the help received from Mark & Chris at EweMove has removed that scepticism; they have been fantastic value for money. Even at the initial valuation, Mark seemed to have a different approach. He was very realistic, pointing out the negatives of a property as much as the positives. It was refreshing, if sometimes disappointing, to hear! Mark had a clear strategy for sale and fulfilled this perfectly; so much so that we had a full asking price offer within 3 weeks of being listed. From then on, Chris took over and was always aware of the situation and kept us informed appropriately. This was clearly different to any previous experience we had with larger firms, where each query seemed to be dealt with by someone new who did not know the history or position of the sale. Ultimately, the EweMove team did exactly what they said they would do when they were trying to gain our business and we cannot ask for anything more than that. As we have told them since, they truly are a credit to the profession.

24/7 communication and efficient service

Mark was very proactive throughout the selling process. He answered messages and arranged meetings early in the morning for me, and I know he contacted potential buyers at night when they were available. I met with a few agents beforehand, but Mark was the only one who filled me with confidence and respected my house. He took really nice photos of the house, made a virtual tour and a video of the house within days of me appointing him. Astonishingly, he sold my house within a month!
