Having marketed the property effectively a quick sale was agreed, over the initial asking price. And Chris spent a lot of time hosting the buyers to go back and see the house as the conveyancing process was completed, all while waiting for probate. On approaching the sale of our property, we were sceptical about the value estate agents could offer, based primarily on previous experience. We're pleased to say that the help received from Mark & Chris at EweMove has removed that scepticism; they have been fantastic value for money. Even at the initial valuation, Mark seemed to have a different approach. He was very realistic, pointing out the negatives of a property as much as the positives. It was refreshing, if sometimes disappointing, to hear! Mark had a clear strategy for sale and fulfilled this perfectly; so much so that we had a full asking price offer within 3 weeks of being listed. From then on, Chris took over and was always aware of the situation and kept us informed appropriately. This was clearly different to any previous experience we had with larger firms, where each query seemed to be dealt with by someone new who did not know the history or position of the sale. Ultimately, the EweMove team did exactly what they said they would do when they were trying to gain our business and we cannot ask for anything more than that. Compared to other agencies, EweMove stood out to us due to its flexible and personal approach. We appreciated the option to view properties and move in on a Saturday, as well as the longer viewing process, which allowed us to look at the property in more detail and ask questions. We have dealt with Mark, who is very professional, knowledgeable and always eager to respond to all our questions. When we moved into our new accommodation, there were some problems on the first day but Mark went the extra mile to resolve them on the same day even though it was a Saturday. We began renting with Ewemove recently (with Mark as our representative), and so far we have had a very good experience. We appreciate Mark's attitude: he really appears to enjoy his job and be proud of what he's achieved. And that has translated into service quality for us. He's acted promptly when problems have come up. I think that as an agent he cares as much about his relationship with his tenants as with his landlords. Related to this, we have liked the contractors Ewemove uses: namely Sid, and also Sam from McGlashan Heating & Plumbing: quality and nice to deal with. We feel in good hands with them. Last but not least, I found it refreshing that Mark told us, as I understood it, that he valued quality over quantity for his business: that he didn't envisage growing beyond a certain size because if they did, they wouldn't be able to offer the same level of service. Unusual to hear from any business nowadays.

Mark Davis and Chris Strong from EweMove at Harrogate & Knaresborough are 2 brilliant Estate Agents. We had to turn to them when another Estate Agent let us down. Mark met me and my brother Alan at the house and he was brilliant, he explained everything to us and answered all the questions we both asked him, we felt at ease and happy with Mark answers and instructed him to put it on the market at the price he had valued it at. Mark moved promptly, he took photos did a sales brochure and sent it to me and Alan for approval then he had a for sale sign put up and we went live advertising. Then Chris took over he did all the viewings and kept us informed throughout the sale, ringing and chasing solicitors for us, right up to the day of completion. After we had completed the sale and the money was in the bank, Mark phoned me to congratulate us on the sale of the property and thanked us for using EweMove. We turned to Mark and Chris at EweMoove Harrogate after a disappointing episode with a "Jack the Lad" estate agent (who will remain nameless). Now to review the Proper Estate Agent. Mark met us at the property in Harrogate, where we had a nice informal chat about the property and what we should expect and then gave us a valuation base on his look around and comparisons of similar properties in the area. Then we sat down and he answered all the questions we threw at him with ease and an assuring confidence that put us at ease as well. We tasked Mark and Chris with the sale and they produced a sales brochure for the property. Everything went well and we had a number of viewings over the next week and then an offer that we accepted, then the wheels fell off as the chain broke and buyers withdrew. Chris kept us up to date at all times and helped us over the many hurdles that came, along the way and right up to the last day of the sale. We had more help from Chris and Mark through what turned out to be a somewhat protracted sale for various reasons and not once did they flinch. They chased up clients and solicitors alike and went over and above their remit. At this point I would like to offer them both our sincere thanks from myself and Sister, Anne and wish them well in the future.
