GoogleSold my property in Lower Darwen with Duckworths. Despite the time it has taken for the solicitors to do there bit, it is thanks to Rebecca that we finally got there is the end. A really credit to Duckworths. Thanks for getting it over the line. As the phrase goes, and in true strictly fashion...its never to early for a 10 from Shirley!!

Shame i couldn't rate 0 stars. Don't bother booking. They book times with you, don't show and don't confirm bookings. Leave early and don't offer courtesy calls to check on progress. Moreover - they outright lie. Avoid at all costs. There's plenty more houses out there, and sellers will eventually learn to avoid them.

GoogleI found Duckworth to be extremely rude and unprofessional, particularly in my dealings with Rebecca Baron and Lyla Baldwin. There was hardly any real communication, no initiative, and at no point did we feel like we were being taken seriously as genuine buyers. We constantly had to chase for updates, and even then the responses often felt dismissive and uninterested.
A good estate agent should be proactive, approachable, and genuinely invested in helping both buyer and seller move forward. Sadly, that just wasn’t the case here. It felt like Duckworth were doing the bare minimum, and nothing more.
I wouldn’t recommend them. If you want an agency that values you, respects your time and actually works to move things along, I’d suggest looking elsewhere.

Thank you for your review. We appreciate the opportunity to respond. Our role is to act in the best interests of our clients and to secure the strongest possible price for their property. In the current market, where there is a high level of demand and significant buyer competition, this can mean the process moves quickly and may not always align with individual expectations.
We would welcome the opportunity to meet with you directly to explain in detail how we work and the reasons behind our approach. A sit-down discussion would allow us to address your concerns properly and ensure you have a full understanding of the procedures in place

GoogleDuckworths Leanne is a really professional manager,I'm a buyer from China. My family and I don't speak English very well, and we weren't very familiar with the UK property purchase process. But after meeting Leanne, all this became a breeze. She was able to help us resolve any issues we couldn't. We've now successfully moved into our new home and are starting a new life. I'm truly grateful for her patience and help.

GoogleIF ESTATE AGENTS WHERE REGULATED THESE GUYS WOULD BE STRUCK OFF.
We put our house up for sale with Duckworths only on the basis that a house we had seen with Duckworths was ours as we had placed an offer. Debbie who came out to our house to value it sat on our sofa and called Ben at the office and advised to get a hold on any further viewings on the property that we wanted, and that the house was ours. We then got contacted by a neighbour who advised they was aware we was selling and that their relative was interested, which then quickly move into us accepting an offer from them. We advised Duckworths we had sold privately and was ready to instruct solicitors on our purchase of the house we wanted that we had been led to believe was ours and the vendor was happy with our offer. Then out of the blue the house had been sold to someone and we couldn't have it. I'm not so sure this would have been the case if we had not sold our house privately. We advised them we had only putting our house up for sale on the basis the house we wanted was ours and they knew this. We are now left with having to find somewhere to live as we agreed sale of our house to a family that are waiting to complete the purchase. As I say the miss selling and tactics used here would have them struck off if they operated under a regulator, lucky that they get to make it up as they go along.

GoogleAn absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. Debra was the ultimate professional; she was honest and open throughout, keeping us informed at every step. Both Debra and Rebecca were quick to respond to any queries and nothing seemed too much of an issue, despite me being really fussy! Their guidance, advice and support made the whole process less stressful and more seamless. They helped with making and receiving offers, and ensured all of our options were discussed and understood. I would highly recommend Duckworths; whether you’re near to them or not, their service is second to none. Thank you!

TrustpilotAbsolutely shocking estate agents..
Absolutely shocking estate agents... I left work early last Thursday to view a property.. waited 1hr 30 no show.. as I got the last slot 5pm I could not contact them anyway. Re booked for a week later same again. 1st excuse was they was at wrong property. Same Street name different town? I said the town I wanted.... second excuse was they emailed me last week to cancel on Thursday... zero email zero call zero nothing. Avoid like the plague. Disgraceful. Useless and rude. 4hrs plus I missed working . Shocking I will never use or recommend to anybody. Lier and very unprofessional.

GoogleI am a little late posting this review as we moved house, started renovating the day after we moved in and also had a baby! so I do apologise.
I would like to say a huge thank you to all the team at the Burnley branch, especially Leeanne Taylor. Throughout the whole process Leeanne was amazing! Her attention to detail and knowledge of the industry was outstanding. Leeanne helped through what was meant to be a stressful process and just made everything a breeze. I will, without a doubt, use Duckworths in the future. Once again, thank you for everything!

Terrible company. They list properties inaccurately or that they're not taking viewings for. I enquired about a property in Great Harwood at the end of May and was told they weren't taking viewings for it as it was under offer. There was nothing on their website to this effect. Two months later, the same property is still on showing as available with no chain. Again, nothing to say it's under offer, or sold subject to contract, so I submitted another request on 30 July to view it on 2 August. Duckworths did not even have the courtesy to respond this time. This is not an isolated incident either. I enquired about a property in Darwen in April and apparently this was being sold privately by the owner. Why was it listed it on their website then? I also enquired about another one in Rishton, but was asked was I aware that there was a sitting tenant in it? Of course I wasn't, as they had neglected to mention this important piece of information in the listing. Three enquiries at different times with different offices, but all with issues not disclosed on their website.
As a buyer, I would not give this agent the time of day. If I see a property for sale with them on Zoopla, On the Market, etc, I just ignore it. As a seller, I would not waste my time and money with them, as they are clearly either incompetent, dishonest or both, and do not seem to have the interests of either the seller or potential buyers as a priority. I'm not even sure how they are still in business given my limited and yet very poor experience with them.

TrustpilotTheir rhetoric does not play out
I wouldn’t have given any stars had that been an option! The initial valuation and the interaction with the staff at the Burnley team was great; they said they would do all the viewing and their speed at communication was good, however, this changed after a couple of months. It soon became apparent that most weekend and all after office hours viewings were mine to do - I was not told of this during our meeting. Communication was very poor, I had to do all the chasing for information and even when I sent emails, many of these were not replied to. I requested a couple of changes, one to the description of my outside space - this took way too long to happed and the other was to remove the advertisement board as it didn’t seem to serve any purpose other than to advertise the company, this took months! When I eventually did sell, I came home to find the board back up with a sold sign on, they did not ask if this was okay. I was unsure of my ‘dedicated agent’ but as time went on I was given to a new team member who seemed to be very inexperienced, he then moved to a division in a different county and my account moved with him.
I would not recommend this company - their sale pitch does NOT match the reality of their service.

GoogleI recently purchased a house via Duckworths estate agents , the sale was complexed and time consuming but Rebecca and Debra at Duckworths were exceptional, friendly , efficient and customer service second to none,
from agreeing the sale to the completion both ladies kept me up to date , they also chased stages with both solicitors, and liaised information with the vendor to ensure a speedy chain of information.
Moving is always stressful but Duckworths offer the company van for free (just insurance for the time needed) ,
This was invaluable and I managed to move all the items from three different locations over the weekend.
Can't rate them enough, it's been a long journey but Rebecca and Debra ( shout out for Harry relaying the messages) really helped take the stress of moving ,
