Good house, tiny drive

The house we purchased is built quite well, with a few "interesting" solutions by the architect, such as virtually no space to hang your coats or one door immediately behind another. The basics such as heating, hot/cold water, electricity, ventilation and internet were all functioning from day 1. (You will have to organise your own broadband but there's some choice of preinstalled connections.)Any extra purchases such as flooring or lights are a total rip-off, you will find a better price almost anywhere; that being said, it was great moving into a house with floors and carpets already fitted and not having to wait on any installers. The built-in wardrobes (extra purchase, too) were worth every penny to us. Try to get them as part of a deal if you can.You won't find a new build with a large garden, but that was not important to us.The biggest disappointment is the size of the drive - it's tiny and with our (by today's standards) small family car parked in the middle of it you can't open the doors fully or squeeze the bins past it. Seems like everyone is complaining because the office and site staff are quite quick to quote some kind of regulation they are hiding behind. Our reply that we are talking about customer satisfaction after spending £££ on their house seems to leave them unfazed and unwilling to do anything about it (in our case there's a wooden fence next to our drive which belongs to an unfinished house, so moving it a few inches wouldn't be a problem, but no luck). Only two ways out of it - try to buy a house with a garage and your drive will be a bit wider; or forget about the drive park on the street, which is what most of our neighbours are doing already.

Colin came to our home today to put the finishing touches to a repair we'd had done to an internal doorframe. As with the previous couple of occasions he's been, it's a first rate finish and you'd never know there had been a repair done.He is always respectful of our home and keeps the working area very clean. What can I say, a developer with a site management team that’s respectful, concise and always available to help? Ramsey Park is a beautiful development but what tipped it for us was the team at Ramsey Park. No issue was too great for Scott, who’s an exemplary site manager. Any issue we’ve had he was always on hand to rectify, promptly as few and far between as they were. The sales team, Dawn and Adam were fantastic during the sales process. Also Carl too. The quality of the homes built here by the team speak for themselves and we’re delighted we chose DWH at Ramsey Park.

All staff have been amazing and helpful. Teething problems sorted quickly and efficiently. Good build standards. We love our new home. There is plenty of storage space in the kitchen and utility (Holden design). We did pay upgrades for kitchen and other fittings which we are pleased with. Only groan and it's not a big one, is that the oven does not have a pre set timer facility. The house is very warm and cosy as you would expect from a new build of high standards and high EE rating. The TV/media point comes with cable wiring but behind the unit and it is necessary to fit or obtain 2 x single F modules for connection. Obtain this before the Sky engineer fits a dish and completes the connection. We love our new home.

Unethical and inhumane experience

E.M is the Customer Care Manager dealing with my complaint. His lack of customer Care is shocking. Delayed responses and no resolution or emotional intelligence shown. I bought a flat which has serious issues his team could easily solve, but no joy. As a disabled person with children, one of them also disabled I have no further funds to make repairs. DWH and their staff seem happy for me and my children to live in dire conditions. They don't care this has impacted on me to the point of feeling suicidal and had 2 failed attempts. They only care they sold the property. Unethical and inhumane firm.
