When we worked with this letting agent to find a flat for rent in fall 2021, the floor plan provided was incorrect and in fact after inspection proved that the rooms offered in an HMO were not large enough to meet government / council standards. Additionally, the houses we were shown were extremely expensive even for the market, and lacked normal safety features (stair banister, fire alarm, fire blanket). When I asked for certain documents they said they did not think they had them and were unsure if they could pass them along - despite being required to be publicly listed. I'd say the agents here were extremely pushy about getting us to sign a lease and offer above the asking price, and additionally when we did move in (due to the high competition for housing and need to find a place quickly) they were then unresponsive to safety concerns. Overall poor attitude towards tenants, not responsive and pushing unfit properties for well above market price. I wouldnt trust their valuation techniques on a property I was selling nor would I trust them to find me a property to let.

We enjoyed our stay at the Kinver house and it was a pleasure working with Theo. There were few delays with some maintenance requests but nothing major. We got our deposit back on time at the end of tenancy. Good experience overall.

I have nothing but good things to say about David Andrew. I have known them for over 17 years. They were determined to provide a service that I would be happy with and that has been achieved. They gave me advise on things that needed to be in place for prospective tenants and Philip was really excited by the potential of the flat. That was reflected in the marketing and the calibre of tenants they found. We are actually really disappointed in the agency. The process of entering the property is so straightforward and easy but the problems start when it is the time to leave. We always paid our rent on time and never caused any problems, we were also extremely flexible with viewings at the end of the tenancy and respected our end of the agreement. On the other hand we had asked to fix a few things in the house and they were never repaired for one reason or another but we dealt with it. We have left the flat over 2 months ago and we are still waiting for our deposit back, as we can't seem to be able to come to an agreement because our emails just aren't answered or considered. We waited over 20 days fro a reply to our last email. The money that they want to detract from our deposit is to fix the stuff we asked the agency to repair at the beginning of the tenancy and a £120 cleaning fee for a 30 square meters flat which would mean £20 an hour for 6 hours. This is the time it takes to clean a venue with a capacity of 500 people. And let's remember that we had already cleaned the flat following the guidelines given by the agency. We are extremely disappointed and frustrated at this point and just want to end this and get our money back.NegativeResponsiveness, Professionalism

TLDR: choose David Andrew. David Andrew managed my rental property in Tufnell Park for 15 years and when it finally came time to sell my flat, they were the obvious choice as estate agent. I can recommend them highly. As letting agents, they took the stress out of being a landlord, dealing with every inquiry and issue that came up. They were really responsive, proactive, and I always felt like I was getting good value because they sourced competitive quotes for maintenance work and had strong loyal relationships with contractors. As sales agents, they really went above and beyond to help me meet an extremely tight deadline. They ended up bridging the gap between solicitors to get the deal over the line - and they were spot on with their advice the whole way through what would otherwise have been a much more stressful process. Their strategy was on point - I got the price they said I would. Every person I've dealt with on the David Andrew team (many of whom have been on the team for years) is trustworthy, professional and friendly. I'd like to extend special thanks to David Brett, Greg Adams and Theo Dorges. This is how it is done. I wish David Andrew every continued success. Overall positive experience, especially compared to other agencies during the (maybe still ongoing) rush for properties in october - november. Would recommend starting very early though, because it seems they are a bit overwhelmed with the amount of tenants and the reference checks took a bit long, which could be stressful if you have to book specific dates for moving your things.
