GoogleI appreciate there are lots of good reviews for the sales side, but lettings was a terrible service. We were having works done, but once they was completed it took over a month to get the property photographed and listed which wasted weeks of our time. When they did find a tenant we were only sent the credentials & contract 2 days before the client wanted to move in. When we looked through the documents there were so many red flags for example - we wanted a 2 year contract and they only had the right to rent in the UK for 1 year / 18 months.. and in addition there was some very dodgy employment credentials. When we refused to rent the property on the basis that soemthing wasn’t adding up, they said it was our right to refuse the tenant if we wanted to.. so we did and then they told us to come and get our keys and they won’t no longer help us with our search a very very childish and pathetic thing to do, when it was them who put forward a potentially dodgy tenant not us. I refused a tenant in the past under similar conditions and the previous company professionally found someone else who stayed for over 3 years. We only wanted to try this agent as we assured with this company it would be really smooth - it wasn’t and they have wasted both our time and money. Their loss as we were willing to bring over a lot of new tenancies if this went well, I would highly recommend if you get tenants put forward from them, you do your due diligence!

GoogleFinal follow up: Sorry, I'm not changing my review. I received poor service at this branch and it still bothers me. You can claim it was a different owner, or "mostly different staff" and try and shift the blame and responsibility, but it doesn't change my experience, so please spare me the patronising psychology. Also, it's interesting that you wrote so many words defending yourself, talking about your awards and how great the staff are, but you didn't once manage to say, "sorry for the bad experience you had, we'll try and do better next time", or something along those lines. First follow up, this is the right Cromwells. I had a very poor experience at this branch in 2018 and wouldn't return. It's not surprising you haven't kept a record of me. December Reply I am sorry you feel so intense it must be very stressful. Please rest assured as mentioned previously, as I said, we are a different team now under new management from 7 years ago. That would be why we have not heard of you, that is over six years ago. The company has new owners and the staff have mostly changed since then. We have won the British Property awards five years running for great service and our staff pride themselves on giving the best customer experience, check out our latest reviews. We were all very surprised by the delay of many years before you decided to write the review which no longer represents our company. We are an independent business and as such rely heavily on our reputation, so an outdated review like yours is a shame to all the very hardworking individuals that work for our wonderful business now. GoogleFrom the initial valuation, viewings and then dealing with the sale once an offer was accepted, Cromwells were great! Lesley and the team were professional, friendly and helpful from start to finish. The whole process was dealt with smoothly, with any queries dealt with promptly and reassuringly. GoogleI really need to leave this lengthy review to highlight the fantastic service we received from Jay at Cromwells in Wallington. Myself and my Son, who was looking for a flat, went to view one in Mitcham and it was Jay who was there to show us around. He was very engaging and professional. We subsequently had an offer accepted and were delighted to complete some months later. I cannot express just how lovely and helpful Jay was from start to finish, going above and beyond in my view to keep us in the loop. Other estate agents we had dealt with literally ‘hounded’ us for a commitment to buy other places we had seen previously, and appeared desperate for us to use their add-on services. Jay was the epitome of professionalism, providing us with all the information we needed to make a decision and ensured we knew he was available any time if we had any issues. We did contact his several times during the course of the buying process and he was always friendly and very helpful. The moving process can be a stressful one and we've only done it once before but the guidance of Charlotte and the team meant we knew what to expect next and this helped to make it as smooth as possible. GoogleWe dealt with James mostly for the purchase of our new property and very pleased with the care and attention he gave us in the similar vein to vendors he was representing. Both Lesley and James were approachable and were keeping in touch with the vendors regularly to provide regular updates which was crucial for us at every step of the transaction. We didn't feel there was need to have more help from other than James mainly ( and Lesley covering while James was away ) and that's exactly what you need when you can just rely on one point of contact for all matters, for quick turnaround of responses that helped with decisions. Finally, having known James through our own searches, sales transaction in the past, can vouch him for someone who will do a good job in a courteous, polite and approachable manner.

Within just 45 minutes of our brochure going online, we had offers, and after only a few hours of viewings we secured the price we’d set our hearts on. They recognised the investment we’d made in our home and supported us every step of the way. With young children, the process could have been stressful, but the team was always accommodating and made things as smooth as possible. GoogleThe Carshalton Beeches Cromwells team are very professional and knowledgeable. We were kept informed at all times during our sale process and when our first buyers dropped out Cromwells found anorher buyer in a very short space of time which guaranteed the purchase of the house we wanted. Lesley was excellent in liaising between ourselves, our buyers and our vendor's estate agent and all solicitors and we would highly recommend Cromwells Estate Agents at Carshalton Beeches.

GoogleCromwells Carshalton provided an outstanding support during our recent house purchase. Lesley was particularly efficient, responsive, and proactive in facilitating communication between us and the sellers. She maintained a professional and constructive relationship on both sides, which really helped the process move forward smoothly. This experience was a refreshing contrast to our previous one with another agency, where we felt completely unsupported. That agency didn’t do much to keep things moving, just called now and then to ask for updates. When we flagged delays on the seller’s side, they said they don’t usually get involved in communication between buyers and sellers, and just want to be kept in the loop. That hands-off approach meant we waited over three months for documents, whilst their solicitors either ignored our conveyancers or gave them false information. Eventually, we had to pull out of the purchase. So by the time we approached Cromwells, we were in a difficult position, urgently needing a home while paying thousands of pounds for temporary Airbnb accommodation. Lesley understood the urgency, kept things on track, worked closely with everyone involved, and thanks in part to her efforts, we completed the purchase in just eight weeks. Credit goes to all parties, of course, our conveyancers, the sellers, and their legal team, for being responsive and efficient. But Lesley’s role as a reliable point of contact was key in making the whole process far smoother than we expected. Huge thanks to Cromwells for all their support - we’d definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a home.
