Sold very quickly, with good negotiations for the desired price. The Cromwells team were always polite and helpful with answers to questions. However in the last week prior to completion James failed to respond to a request regarding a gift for the new owners (it was later explained to me that James was new - but he’s named in reviews from 11 months ago ;so not that new…) They also failed to ensure meter readings were taken when the keys were handed over early for essential repair works prior to completion. Getting keys early was unusual and as such the solicitor drew up a contract which stated the purchasers would be responsible for the utilities. Whilst Cromwells got a copy of this they failed to ensure the terms were met. To add salt to the wound the manager was very prickly and off hand when this was raised .

From the initial valuation, viewings and then dealing with the sale once an offer was accepted, Cromwells were great! Lesley and the team were professional, friendly and helpful from start to finish. We dealt with James mostly for the purchase of our new property and very pleased with the care and attention he gave us in the similar vein to vendors he was representing. Both Lesley and James were approachable and were keeping in touch with the vendors regularly to provide regular updates which was crucial for us at every step of the transaction. We didn't feel there was need to have more help from other than James mainly ( and Lesley covering while James was away ) and that's exactly what you need when you can just rely on one point of contact for all matters, for quick turnaround of responses that helped with decisions. Finally, having known James through our own searches, sales transaction in the past, can vouch him for someone who will do a good job in a courteous, polite and approachable manner.

Cromwells Carshalton provided an outstanding support during our recent house purchase. Lesley was particularly efficient, responsive, and proactive in facilitating communication between us and the sellers. She maintained a professional and constructive relationship on both sides, which really helped the process move forward smoothly. This experience was a refreshing contrast to our previous one with another agency, where we felt completely unsupported. That agency didn’t do much to keep things moving, just called now and then to ask for updates. When we flagged delays on the seller’s side, they said they don’t usually get involved in communication between buyers and sellers, and just want to be kept in the loop. That hands-off approach meant we waited over three months for documents, whilst their solicitors either ignored our conveyancers or gave them false information. Eventually, we had to pull out of the purchase. So by the time we approached Cromwells, we were in a difficult position, urgently needing a home while paying thousands of pounds for temporary Airbnb accommodation. Lesley understood the urgency, kept things on track, worked closely with everyone involved, and thanks in part to her efforts, we completed the purchase in just eight weeks. Credit goes to all parties, of course, our conveyancers, the sellers, and their legal team, for being responsive and efficient. But Lesley’s role as a reliable point of contact was key in making the whole process far smoother than we expected. Huge thanks to Cromwells for all their support - we’d definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a home.

The Carshalton Beeches Cromwells team are very professional and knowledgeable. We were kept informed at all times during our sale process and when our first buyers dropped out Cromwells found anorher buyer in a very short space of time which guaranteed the purchase of the house we wanted. I had initially contacted Cromwells when I wanted to rent my flat in Sutton. Sadly this was no longer an option so Phil came round to value our property. Often estate agents are given a bad reputation - this is not true of Phil or his team. From the moment he had finished talking us through the process, explained everything clearly and with integrity, we knew we would sign with Cromwells for the sale of my home. We chose Cromwells initially as we noticed a lot of their signs in the area where we were looking. After signing up with them, the sales process was seamless and the house was sold within weeks with an extremely competitive fee which included our solicitors fees. Ian was our linked agent, who sold the house and helped nudge us in the right direction towards a house he thought we would like that we had initially dismissed. After trusting his advice, we ended up also buying with Cromwells and Ian made sure we got a good deal on the house we were purchasing! Siobhan from Cromwells was fantastic. Through this process we’ve learnt a key difference between estate agents is aftercare- some estate agents in the chain did very little to keep things progressing, whereas Siobhan kept chasing the chain, coming up with ideas where there was a problem and gave us regular updates. I used Cromwells Estate agents to sell my mum's house. From the very start I was made to feel at ease by the staff. They were professional and friendly and ticked all the boxes. Unfortunately we had issues further up the chain with buyers pulling out due to spiralling interest rates. But Cromwells had our back each time. At each reset they instantly went out to their audience and found us new buyers straight away. When news outlets were reporting a drop in house prices, Cromwells found us buyers willing to pay asking price. I cant recommend these guys higher - you won't find an estate agent offering a better service than them!
