Rhodri and Gavin are both valuable assets to the company. They have been very responsive, honest and helpful. Having had experience with various sales consultants in other developments, we can definitely see the difference. Rhodri and Gavin were fantastic and very accommodating in the way they dealt with our situation, provided a lot of information, spent a considerable amount of time going through everything related to a purchase and made sure that the whole process was as smooth as possible. The Countryside properties are beautiful, built to a high standard with high specs and many extras included. Importantly, they are built to NHBC standards. Wakefield is certainly not the nicest place to live, but City fields is a nice area itself- quite isolated but with good road links to Leeds. With a lot of developers investing there, new schools and GP services will be soon available. Good existing schools around, not very many supermarkets and retail at walking distance, but a number of malls are within a short drive. Overall, very good value for money properties with A* service and customer support. Thank you to the City Fields team!

Thanks for the car park!

Slightly different issue with Countryside Housing. Thankfully (having read the reviews) I have not purchased a home from this company.However they've had an impact on me.At the commencement of the build at Gateford, Worksop the company for some reason placed the sales office at the end of Gateford Toll Bar, approximately 1/2 a mile from the actual development!In placing the sales office at the end of this country lane a grassed gateway was dug up, a car park put in place and a porter cabin sales office installed. When asked why the sales office had been put at the end of the lane we were advised it was a temporary measure and once access onto the actual site was available the sales office would be moved. Once the sales office was moved the area would be returned to its original state.Well guess what the sales office left a year ago and we are now left with a car park full of litter where youngsters park and eat their fast food, dropping the wrappers before leaving. Some temporary wire fencing was put up, and subsequently fell / pushed down.Obviously Countryside Housing are no longer interested in the mess they've left, it doesn't effect them.So thanks for digging up the grass, removing some hedgerow and putting us a litter strewn car park at the end of the road.

Very Good Sales, Customer Care and Maintenance Teams from Countryside Properties

We bought our house directly from Countryside sales team. The entire processes from show house viewing, reservation, legal liaison to completion was smooth and on schedule. We are impressed by the level of service and efficiency of the sales team, especially Ms. Louise Martin's diligent work ethic, caring personality and close follow up to all our enquires every step of the way.When we moved in, Louise has continued to facilitate our new life in Heyside Grove. She has connected us to the site management and customer care teams to deal with all snags very quickly.Jared Gilmore, the trainee assistant site manger, has immediately followed up our case, he went through all snags with us in person, explained to us precisely about the corrective action plan. He even filled the cracks and fixed the chips for us next day after we moved in. You will have a fight on your hands to enforce the terms of your deeds.

We moved into our property in September 2018. There have been a number of issues with the development that still aren't totally resolved. However, recently we have had cause to approach Countryside with regards to neighbours blocking access via our back alleyway with bins. This is a clear breach of the terms of the deeds and a clause states that the developer shall keep private accessways clear at all times. Also that householders will not block the accessway. In the event of a breach of the terms by a householder Countryside shall also take action so long as the costs are covered. Well, Countryside did send a letter to the neighbour. This had no effect. But now Countryside constantly say that it is with their legal department. This has been going on for over two years. Read your deeds carefully and get assurance that countryside will fulfill their obligations. In my experience they have not.Following on from Countrysides response they still fail to take the action as per their legal obligations and also have failed to supply details of their complaints procedure as required despite numerous times of asking. Be wary folks. Don't believe the response below.

Cold customer service - major put off

*This review is of the viewing experience only* My partner and I recently went to view the show home in Gateford, Worksop. Our experience wasn’t great. We received an adequately polite welcome, but the customer service was by no means warm or friendly. As first-time-buyers, the rep assumed we’d be using the help-to-buy scheme without asking us (we would have been using the scheme, but the assumption seemed a bit judgemental). From then on, the rep had no genuine interest in us and had dismissed us as potential buyers. The interaction was cold and very brief.We had a follow up call around 2 MONTHS later, so we were obviously not a hot lead and just on the list of old prospects to dredge through so we could be removed from their contact list (the rep said as much on the call). This call was as equally as abrupt as our viewing. The process of buying a house is a lengthy and stressful one, so the viewing is an indication of the care you would receive throughout this daunting experience. The first impression we received from countryside was a major put-off, and I would not feel confident purchasing from this developer.

As others have said, the sales team at Countryside Properties are very good at their job…. Countryside do install very good quality fixtures and fittings.My property did have a number of significant problems that appeared over time. To their credit, Countryside fixed all of them.Here’s something to be aware of though. With Countryside Properties, you will probably be required to pay freehold service charges, for ever.These are both uncapped and unregulated. Unregulated means that there is no regulator that you can complain to about unfair charges. Uncapped means that there is no limit on what you can be forced to pay. It is a legally binding agreement.That is what you are committing to the moment you put your name on their TP1 agreement.Do google “FLEECEHOLD” before putting down a deposit so that you know exactly what you’re getting yourself into. Do not rely on your solicitor to point this out to you. It’s a bit late to pull out by then.

Not sure on where to start.......

Not sure on where to start........ so here goes. We moved into our new property march last year.... We had snagging report done which showed over 200 snags at first they seemed to care and majority of the snagging issues have been resolved however since June last year the Customer service has been abysmal. I have been emailing, calling, and popping into the sales office when I can...... we still 7months on waiting fo a response/phone call in regards to the grass that needs digging out and re turfing.... I'm still waiting for soffits to reach nhbc standards, the tiles have started to lift due to the bad weather we had early December. Still no reply...... I have also recently emailed groupcpplc and still no reply. I am getting really annoyed now.... I have had private quotes done but surely I shouldn't have to pay out for something that wasn't laid/secured correctly in the first place....
