GoogleI live next to the development and although huge objections locally to it being built on were overiden money talks ,So good quality farmland and a wooded area were destroyed to make way ,we have had to endure several years of noise ,a lot of dust,traffic lights,hgvs ,dug up roads etc.
At the start all the old oak trees were cut down ,the abundant wild life destroyed and as it has been built on a flood plain the groud levels have been increased with all the spoil so much that the environment agency flood map has been moved several hundred yards out from when we moved to the area increasing other people's risk of flooding.
I have walked around the site with many unsold houses ,overgrown weeds broken saplings ,discarded metal fencing abound .
Although I am told some weed cutting and grass laying has been done recently to look at the puny saplings planted at the entrance it looks like all the other samey type developments very sad.

GoogleTerrible, rushed us to buy and put a bow on the door stating it was conpleted after reporting the snaggings two weeks prior at least.
Snaggings took months to do and still dragged their feet until the take over from the other company.
Then, apparently they had no record if any snaggings reported, another delay on our warranty.
They are very quick to wash their hands of doing any work including maintenance that their contractors did less than half a job. While in warranty the contractor did reported that it was a big job and didnt want to come back!
Get your own electrician, plumber to check the works prior to save the hasstle as we are still having electric issues that were to be fixed in the warranty rather than using the wrong contractor that has no experience in the relevant field and dragging out the warranty time period.
Safety is an issue to the development requiring a convex mirror for blind spots, but instead a bike sign is put in the very position requested.
If you buy, dont expect much from them from start to finish.
I think that sums it up in a nutshell!

GoogleWe bought our property and moved in June 2022. The quality of the build was good. However, we have had a few issues including cracking (more than settling cracks), severe creaking flooring (they refuse to fix) and mortar left in our plumbing causing blockages and damage. They removed the mortar but that was it.
But the final thing that has tipped it over the edge is the safety of the development. We have zero pavements on our road and blind corners when pulling out. This is severely dangerous. They have acknowledged how dangerous this is and initially agreed to put in a mirror however after months of waiting they informed us it had been ordered and would be fitting it shortly. Weeks later then then email to say they now won't fit it. This has led me to believe we have been lied to about the mirror the whole time.
Safety is not a priority for countryside (now vistry) and sadly it will likely result in someone being hit and seriously injured.
I sadly would not recommend soley on the basis of how dangerous it is to walk my infant child down the road or leave the road without a collision.
