Radclyffe Green- Lisa Bryan
We reserved our second home in march. Lisa Bryan has made the experience of buying a brand new home an easy one for my family. Her communication, customer services is top notch. She’s very friendly, patient and even more friendly with my children each time we visit the office for one reason or the other. She answers any queries thrown at her promptly. We are looking forward to the completion of our house. Thanks for all your help so far Lisa. You’ve been brilliant 👍🏽Lara xx
Hi Lara, thank you for taking the time to share your review. We're really pleased to hear you had a positive experience buying with us.

MEDWAY’S PARKSIDE QUARTER / ROCHESTER RIVERSIDE FLAGSHIP SCHEME - A NEW BUILD NIGHTMARE
!!!! Update April 2022 - same leak still not rectified some 2.2 years later (YES REALLY), scaffold been up since November 2020 !!!!We moved into our riverside property in Rochester, Kent on 30 September 2019. In October 2019 we discovered the facade of the property was saturated (prevention meant an add-on feature had to be designed - something the ‘Award Winning’ designers failed to factor into their original designs). In December 2019 we discovered extensive mould in the loft space. In March 2020 we had a major leak coming into our lounge through the lights and water ingress into the master bedroom. We also had major flooding to our garden due to lack of drainage. As of today’s date January 2021 (some 16 months on) we still have mould and water ingress to our loft space; lounge and master bedroom. During our occupation we have had to endure a period of 4.5 months (and counting....) of extensive scaffolding to the property as well as cranes, cherry pickers - the developers even had a key to our home for several months so they could come and go as they please in an effort to fix the ‘minor’ issues. To-date the leaks, water ingress and mould still prevail despite attempts by Countryside to fix them. Our journey has been a horrific one no-one can deny - we have been nothing but accommodating to assist Countryside yet rather than have empathy re: our situation Countryside’s Group Customer Services ‘Director’ refers to us as ‘difficult customers’ - let’s be clear here Countryside - it is you who have caused the issue and it is you who have thus far failed at your numerous attempts to rectify the defects. Please stop developing on Rochester Riverside, you need to commit your time to sorting out those existing major defects within this development once and for all - to carry on building properties knowing there are major flaws is unethical. Please do not have the audacity to reply with your standard blurb about contacting the local team or your groupcpplc.com email - this matter has gone to your CEO and still our nightmare continues.
Thank you for your review, we are sorry to hear you aren't receiving the customer service we would expect but understand the customer services team are working with you to resolve this.

Radclyffe Green - Lisa Bryan
We have recently reserved our first home together at Radclyffe Green. Our sales consultant Lisa Bryan has been amazing since we first met her back in February. She has been there to help us every step of the way, nothing is too much trouble for her.Even including advice on the options making decisions and answering any questions no matter how small they were. I would highly recommend anyone to book an appointment for this development if looking for a property in the area.We cannot wait for the house to be built and hopefully the rest of the journey will be as smooth. Please thank Lisa for all her help…Roll on September/October!
Hi Ms A Cunningham, thank you for taking the time to share your review. We're so pleased to hear you had such a positive experience buying with us and will pass your feedback onto the team.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEVELOPER!!!!!!!
STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEVELOPER!!!!!!!There are so many bad things I have to say about countryside but I will leave the essay for another review. The worst I’ve experienced so far being that we’ve been waiting for nearly a year for them to fix our badly done plastering on ceilings and walls, knowing that we are expecting a baby soon, they do not have the decency to prioritise this work with our current situation. We’re exhausted and tired of chasing them and will be opening a case with NHBC & Trading standards. Awful experience and customer service overall. You would’ve expected more for a house of nearly £400k but they don’t seem to care. Take your money elsewhere and do not be fooled by the good reviews as most of these people have not even moved in yet. Once you get your keys the problem starts!!!

I will never buy from this company…
I will never buy from this company again and urge you most strongly to steer clear! They are excellent at selling houses and they are excellent at empty promises. They are also excellent at ignoring you when you have a problem and excellent at delaying a resolution to that problem. As soon as they get your money for a house full of defects, they don’t want to know you. Despite their promises otherwise. Snagging list have been known to go on for years in this estate…Beaulieu Park. One person I spoke to was still experiencing issues (major issues at that) four years down the line. They have signs up all around d saying they are courteous builders but that is far from reality. My driveway was blocked nearly every day by tradespeople going to and from site, they couldn’t care less thst I had a little girl needing to get to school or waiting to be picked up. We have had insulation missing from our loft bedroom since we moved in and every time I ask what’s happening with it, I either get ignored or I get told they are waiting to hear back. It’s incredibly frustrating! Don’t give your money to these crooks. They are a law unto them selves and even after promising to give you high end spec, once you’re in you’ll realise it’s either all chipped and broken or substandard. They’ll promise to fix it but then won’t. That’s my experience. I wish someone had warned me because this has been an awful experience when it’s supposed to be my lovely new home.
Hi Patricia, we understand you are in touch with our team, and we’d recommend you continue working with them to resolve your issues. If you’d like to raise this further, please do email group@cpplc.com

Profit over People
This company have a rotten core of Customer Service stemming right from the very top. We have been shouted at down the phone, dismissed by Sales Directors and completely ignored by the Managing Director. They'll sell you the dream and give you all the time in the world when they think you're going to generate a sale, but will treat you like dirt on the bottom of their shoe if this sale then becomes at risk. Their real values are quite simple. All about bonuses and profit over people! We had an incredibly attentive Sales team and made a significant investment on a plot on the St James Park development. We were second time Customers selling our existing Countryside property. Our house was sold subject to exchange and we were given the usual bonkers 28 day period for this to take place.Unlike other contributors here, we weren't actually chased to exchange until 3 months in. Not surprising however as their year-end is September and the house itself isn't ready until then. As soon as their bonuses started to become at risk, sure enough the rude Customer Progression team started to show an interest. This is where the true colors of Countryside started to show. The Progression Manager shouted down the phone at us, made threats on exchange that our reservation would be cancelled if not done by x date (as if it was completely in our control), and showed a general lack of empathy for the incredibly stressful position we had found ourselves in with our buyers buyer. Put simply she didn't care.In the end Countryside followed through with one of their threats and cancelled our reservation this week. This despite two clear emails stating we wanted to sit down and discuss all options at Director level before they proceeded. An initial email to the Sales Director with a request for a response to several questions and a follow-up call was mostly ignored with assumptions cast on our Financial capability to exchange without selling which we were in a position to do. No other options presented, no compassion shown for the fact they were cancelling our dream home, and no acknowledgment for some of the poor Customer Service provided. He had decided to cancel our reservation over email, having "considered this overnight" despite our email being sent at 1am that day. Quite simply a disgrace of a response.Escalated then to the MD of the Northern Counties region. Our emails have been completely ignored and instead we have been sent 2 lovely contradictory emails from Countryside in the meantime. One of a cancellation letter closely followed by a "Happy Easter". You couldn't write it.We now find our plot back on the market this morning. Unsurprisingly they've upped the price 5% and got it on just in time for Easter. What does the Customer matter for as long as they get their bonuses in for year end! This will no doubt be followed with the customary "We're sorry to hear you were unhappy with your customer service. If you'd like to raise this further, please do email our Customer Services team and someone will be in touch."Put simply we don't want someone to be in touch. Someone shouldn't have to be in touch, you should treat Customers like Customers not someone who is doing you a favor! We want the MD to acknowledge the situation, give a response to the points made and actually have the guts to have a face to face conversation around how they've treated what would have been a second time Customer of Countryside. As we've been clear with Countryside throughout, we understand their challenges, but if you can sit people down and spend time with them buying a house, you should have the decency on the rare occasion you're cancelling a reservation to have a meeting with the Customer to look at all options as requested. If there is one message to any prospective buyers we'd share it's be careful. Countryside's core value is PROFIT OVER PEOPLE - if it could have been zero stars it would have.
Hi Rob, we’ve spoken with the regional team and understand you’re in touch with our Sales and Marketing Director. If you’d like to raise the issue further, please do email customerservicecentral@cpplc.com.

AVOID BUYING FROM COUNTRYSIDE PROPERTIES
From the day we paid the mortgage deposit, Countryside have been nothing but terrible. We were mis-sold our plot, Countryside made promises that they never kept and it has been disgusting customer service since then. We have been in our property for almost a year, and we still have snags outstanding. We paid for a professional snag company and there were in excess of 280 snags in total, some of which Countryside have just decided not to do, with no explanation. We have sent several emails asking for an update on when snags will be completed, if you are lucky, you will receive a reply but you should expect to be waiting over a month for a reply. If on the odd occasion they contact us to book a technician to attend the property, they don’t turn up resulting is us having to take either unpaid leave or annual leave just to sit at home waiting. There has been the odd occasion when a member of the team has been booked in to attend the property, but they have turned up a few days prior. The garden is disgusting, extremely unlevel, the turf used is terrible quality, its boggy and muddy. The higher cost for our plot was justified by it being a south facing garden, unfortunately this is a garden that we cannot use unless we pay thousands to re turf and level it ourselves. There is a facebook group for our development (The Colleys) and many of the residents are in a similar situation. I haven’t heard one positive comment from my neighbours. The site manager has changed a few times since we reserved our plot and you can’t keep up with the site team changes. I work for one of the largest companies in our town and it gives me great pleasure in knowing that I have convinced several first-time buyers to purchase from a local competitor as opposed to Countryside. If you email the main lady that deals with customer care queries (I'm unable to enter her name) at Customer Care you have absolutely no chance of getting a reply, she is useless. If I specifically ask for email contact due to not being able to take calls at work, she will still call me. I have some photo’s that I am looking forward to sharing with any potential buyers. My biggest regret in life is buying a property from Countryside.Update on this. A few days after submitting this review I had a call from Countryside, however following a solicitors advice I asked for email contact so there is a paper trail of conversations, however unsurprisingly it’s been over two weeks and I am still waiting for an email from them.
Hi Emily, we're sorry to hear you are unhappy with your customer service. We have raised this with the team and our Customer Services Manager will be in touch with you directly to discuss your issues. If you'd like to raise this further, please do email group@cpplc.com and someone will be in touch.

Reserving our first home
Today me and my partner reserved our first house with Countryside homes. The experience so far has been made so simple for us thanks to Will and Megan. Will has gone above and beyond to ensure we understand the process and have all the information we need. Will has been really easy to deal with and made it an enjoyable and reassuring experience. Will and Megan are always happy to help and answer any questions. We would definitely recommend Countryside Homes! Thanks so much!

Construction site complaint
So annoyed with Countryside. I work at a local school and have to go through the construction site on Priestley way to get to work. Further up the road is a dead end, so the only people using this road are school staff, parents and the construction team using both sides of the road.Twice now I have had a puncture in my tyres, from a screw/nail. I emailed the first time, but I hadnt kept the tyre for proof,so took it on the chin. The second time it happened- a month ago, my car was 2 weeks old! Had done less than 100 miles ( I live on the adjoining estate) and literally drive to work and home. I had to abandon my car at work and hurry to collect my daughter from school.Alex, on the site entrance, admitted to me the road sweeper hadn't been there for a couple of days. The road is covered in debris daily! I passed my information onto the person in charge and have been awaiting his contact, which I still have not received. My husband has spoken to head office and now after all this time their only reply is "We don't use those screws." The same reply as last time! Are you telling me that the building works, hoarding, machinery and all vehicles only use certain screws? Nonsense.I will further pursue the cost of my brand new £130 tyre, plus raise my concerns regarding the safety of the sites, particularly at school drop off and pick up times.
Good afternoon. We have checked with the team and while your incident is highly unfortunate, given it took place on a public road and with a type of screw that is not being used on site, this isn’t something that we are able to reimburse you for. We do have a road sweeper in place to regularly clear the road of mud, however we appreciate this may be disappointing so if you do have any further queries please contact customerservicecentral@cpplc.com.

Zero customer service
Emailed an enquiry using rightmove for the colleys, Grantham, no response, they obviously don't want to sell me a house. What's irritating is they obviously received the request for more information as I am now getting generic spam from them but nothing related to my enquiry.
Hi Jayne, we're sorry to hear this. We had an IT issue last week that meant we may have missed your enquiry. If you could contact The Colleys sales team on 01476 338629 or thecolleys@cpplc.com with your details then someone will be in touch.

Countryside (in particular the Colleys)…
Countryside (in particular the Colleys) are a shambles of a company. The customer service is nearly non-existent. When you do try and complain to the group cpplc email and launch a formal complaint, they either do not reply or you get a phone call to arrange a meeting where you think you can air your complaints, which actually just turns out to be a build update. To quote the associate Construction Director, ‘countryside have no legal obligation, and are not contractually obliged to give good customer service, or deliver a house within the time frames suggested to you’. Please save yourself the heartache and buy with someone else.
We're sorry to hear you are unhappy with your customer service. We understand that you are in touch with our customer service team directly to address your complaint, but if you would like to raise this further, please do email group@cpplc.com and someone will be in touch.

Absolutely excellent!
From start to finish it has been an absolute pleasure buying a house with Countryside Properties. Rhodri and Gavin have been excellent, they are friendly yet professional and have kept us regularly up to date with honest information throughout. We are delighted to be moving in at the start of the window we were given for completion and could not recommend Countryside Properties enough. From comparing our experience to that of friends who have bought from other developers it is clear we have had a five star service. Thank you Rhodri, Gavin and everyone at Countryside!

Exceptional service
The team at City fields Gavin and Rhodri have been exceptional throughout the whole process. As a family who have never purchased new build they have advised and supported throughout. The spec in the homes is by far the best we have seen on our long journey to finding our new forever family home.

A very happy customer
I have been very happy with the purchase of my property in Wren Green, Bamber Bridge. The sales team kept me informed throughout, Megan, Debbie and the team were superb and always happy to talk anytime and answer any questions. There were no hold ups and my sale and completion was on the day I’d been expecting. The aftercare service and snagging were carried out quickly and smoothly by the site manager Ben. I’ve had a couple of minor issues with the smoke alarm which have been quickly dealt with. From my personal experience and also my Brother’s who bought a home on phase 1 of the same development I could easily recommend Countryside Properties and Wren Green

Great experience at City Fields Wakefield
We reserved our plot at City Fields Wakefield in August 2021 and the sales team have done everything they can to ensure we have had a great experience. They have been open about how the build is progressing and Rhodri has provided regular updates about each stage of the build, even taking time to go the extra mile with photos at key stages. Both Rhodri and Gav have been extremely helpful and informative with no problems in answering our many questions. Overall we have had a really positive experience with Rhodri, Gav and the sales progressor who are a credit to Countryside.

Harassed to exchange, exchange!
Exchange, exchange, exchange! I’ve never been harassed so much in my life. The property build completion date has been pushed back by over 6 months but I kept on getting ultimatums that I needed to exchange or they would re-market the property. They completely ignored the part that the build completion had been delayed by 6 months, even now there is no roof on the property so is going to be delayed even further. In the end I told them I’d had enough. Buying a home should be a pleasure but these guys stressed me out to the extent I felt I was having a mental breakdown. Lost about £2,000 in the process but looking at other reviews, it’s a small price to pay as it seems I’ve dodged a bullet. God works in mysterious ways.

Do not buy a house with Countryside (Specifically the Colleys)
Myself and my partner are first time buyers and signed to accept the house in June 2021. We were told it would be built in Dec 2021. We were then delayed to Jan/Feb, then to March, then to May and are currently being told July. The customer service is absolutely horrific, with countryside never even accepting their fault in the delays (despite the fact the retaining wall they built actually fell down which is causing our delays). Honestly, the houses look beautiful and at the start of the process you think that it is going well, but if you have any sense at all I would whole heartedly recommend that you do not buy a property with Countyside. Save yourself the stress and heartache and buy with another developer.

DO NOT BUY A COUNTRYSIDE PROPERTY
DO NOT BUY A COUNTRYSIDE PROPERTYThey lie and lie to get you to exchange then you are tied in. Then they keep moving the actually move in completion date and keep moving it and keep moving it. They con you into an early exchange and then nothing We exchanged in June 2021 - We were meant to move in in October, then December, then March, then May and now we have only just been told that it could be July. This is 13 months since we signed for the house. Absolutely disgraceful customer service, no apologies, no morals and just a “well we can move the completion date whenever we want to” We have incurred considerable costs of storage, a years rent, let alone having to keep reapplying for our mortgage. This is causing both emotional and financial hardship. It would be nice to get a reply from here. but I doubt it very much as their Customer Service and communication skills are non existence We will be speaking to Watchdog, Property Industry Eye publication, The Consumer Code for Home Builders And The New Homes Ombudsman

Marvellous team at Wakefield
Rhodri and Gavin at Countryside Wakefield offered us fantastic experience! They respond to issues very swiftly, and take my concerns seriously. They are also super reliable, always ready to answer any questions without fail. Great personality and professional approach to the client! They’ve been a true gem and great assets to the business. Thanks Gavin and Rhodri!

Great buying experience with Countryside Partnerships
Great buying experience with Countryside Partnerships so far. From viewing the show homes to getting help with the financial side of things, help was on hand every step of the way. What's more, so much is included in the price of the home compared to other housebuiders. Can't wait to get the keys. Thank you Countryside!

DO NOT BUY
DO NOT Buy a property from them. They do not take responsibility for damages after spending £1000's. They use cheap materials on the houses to cut costs. Only interested in making money from you, after sales service is the worst ever. Many people on our estate are selling due to this dodgy company

City fields Wakefield
Rhodri and Gavin are both valuable assets to the company. They have been very responsive, honest and helpful. Having had experience with various sales consultants in other developments, we can definitely see the difference. Rhodri and Gavin were fantastic and very accommodating in the way they dealt with our situation, provided a lot of information, spent a considerable amount of time going through everything related to a purchase and made sure that the whole process was as smooth as possible. The Countryside properties are beautiful, built to a high standard with high specs and many extras included. Importantly, they are built to NHBC standards. Wakefield is certainly not the nicest place to live, but City fields is a nice area itself- quite isolated but with good road links to Leeds. With a lot of developers investing there, new schools and GP services will be soon available. Good existing schools around, not very many supermarkets and retail at walking distance, but a number of malls are within a short drive. Overall, very good value for money properties with A* service and customer support. Thank you to the City Fields team!
