We really appreciated our Sales Progressor, Nick, helping us with our purchase. He was efficient and friendly and often went out of his way to help us. GoogleThe customer service from start to finish was exemplary. David, Nathan and Adam were superb, from the initial appointment, the photos by Adam and always being happy to show prospective buyers around. We felt they had complete control of the sale. An added bonus, which is a big bonus in our eyes is having Nick as the resident Sales Progressor. Nick was always at the end of the phone and kept us fully appraised at all times. Superb.

GoogleI have no recent experience to compare my experience with. Church and Hawes met my expectations. However they did over value the property initially so property didn't sell until the price was reduced to the valuation provided by another Estate Agent.

We we tricked by these estate agents. We turned down a low ball bid from an interested party, partially because it was clear they were in a complex chain. Throughout the engagement we dealt with one estate agent - until one day another one from the same office rang us a few weeks later, explaining the first one was away and he had a great "cash" offer. It was below what we had previously rejected but good enough, so we accepted. We later discovered it was the same bidders! worse - their situation had not changed, its just this estate agent decided that cash meant after they had sold their property!! everyone knows that is rubbish, cash is cash...now! By this time we had as requested taken the house off the market, plus we were closer to when the bidder in theory might actually sell. Of course that did not happen as planned - by this time we were stuck. Eventually we did sell in this short chain, but we lost £18K off the original offer the same bidder made. There is no doubt, this estate agent worked very hard for the buyer, and never stood up for the seller who pays their fees. Just don't trust this estate agent.

GoogleI would highly recommend Rob Wells at Church & Hawes. There were 7 couples in our house chain and Rob made sure all buyers, sellers and solicitors were all on the same page. He got things moving, kept everyone in the loop and controlled the communication at every step to get us all exchanged and completed in a timely fashion. Contact Rob for an stress-free house move.
