GoogleWe had a problem let and needed to leave .The staff at Chelton Brown made us whole again and gave us back faith in human nature once again .It was our luckiest day when we walked in to there Northampton Branch They went above and beyond the call of duty .A very big thank you to all especially Katie and Victoria .Would not hesitate to recommend you .In fact we believe they are Angels disguised as Letting Agents A VERY BIG THANK YOU

GoogleTime wasters, poor communication and ridiculous fees. I was desperate to move into a flat but heard nothing regarding the progress of the application after I had agreed I would take the flat. Chased them for a whole 2 weeks only for them to tell me that the property was let to somebody else after continuously being told bogus stories.

GoogleMake sure you are ready to argue for the deposit you have paid, they look for any little bit of dust to make an excuse to get cleaners in. They are rude and when they said we have left something in the flat we asked if we could come collect the remaining pieces they then said you are not insured, when we explained we were still insured on the property and could prove this. And when asked if they would meet us there to get a brush and a bin they started stuttering and then changed the subject. They also give no notice where viewings are concerend and when we asked for 24hours notice, they just simply ignored it. Terrible experience never again avoid!!!!

GoogleChelton Brown must think money grows on trees!!! They wanted to charge me £36.00 for telling a referencing company that YES!! I did rent a house from them. YES!! I did pay my rent and NO!! I did not damage the house. it is absolutely disgusting for them to think they can rob money from people when they like!!! I hope no one will use their horrible service in Northampton!!!

GoogleDuring our rental of 20 months thie house had a leak in one of the bedrooms, which the cowboys they sent tried to seal the roof with a variety of innovative repairs. During our rental the floors on upper floor all needed replacement as the floor boards were cracking which resulted in holes in the floors. The "tradesmen" had a very neat trick to store the old broken parts of the floor in the void between the floors, as the waste bin was far away outside. At the start of our rental we were not given keys to tye garage (which was fully locked) and also nobody cared to help as they already took the money. Nearing the end of our tenancy we were served a notice "to hand" by an employee who posted it through the letter box and ran for their life to avoid confrontation. At the end of the tenancy we were even charged for the small bits of grass between patio slabs (which I later noticed were there at the start of the tenancy, by accident as they have listed the house for rent again, using photos from 2 years ago). We will be reporting this to the trading standards and hope others will follow. This company exclusively after your money and nothing else. They will try and shave you to the best of their ability. Not recommended

GoogleI'm so grateful to Katie Buswell for recently helping me secure a rental property, due to my personal circumstances she was very sympathetic but professional at the same time. Katie and other members of the team were in constant contact with me via phone, out of all the estate agents in town they were the only one who helped me and didn't fob me off. A lot of effort from the team and myself went into securing a rental property, but I understand Chelton Brown have rules and regulations which have to be abided by.

GoogleWe rented a property through Chorlton brown for 12 months. During that time they were always helpful and friendly. They sorted out any issues we had in a timely manner. Sue James was incredible during the end of our tenancy agreement and final inspection. She went above and beyond.

GoogleMONEY GRABBERS. LIARS. I have unfortunately been bullied out of a property. Chelton Brown are the most useless letting agents on the planet. Their staff (both Daventry and Northampton) are liars and clearly only care about getting as much money as possible out of you. Making up fees as they go along. Overcharging and then denying. Issuing abondonment notices, but saying 'we thought you were in'. Not a clue. Will never use or recommend to anyone EVER again. And be aware that they clearly use cleaners that clean with gold dusters, as a quote to remove some dust from an empty property for over £200 is quite hilarious. (And that's a 1 bed annex) Pathetic.

Dear Charlotte, I am really sorry you have not been happy with the service you have received from Chelton Brown. I have investigated your issues and Debbie Parker our Operations Manager has written to you in person. I believe the bullying you mention is nothing to do with Chelton Brown, but is the reason you decided to leave the property before the end of the tenancy. Once a tenancy has been signed, both the landlord and tenant are legally bound to the terms.. Your landlord however agreed for you to vacate the property early, provided the costs of re-letting were covered by yourself. Something that is not unusual within the industry and clearly explained when you signed the terms of business at the beginning of the tenancy. I have seen the photos of the property at the beginning of the tenancy and the ones taken again at the final inspection, the cleaning issues were more than just dust. Your deposit was registered with the TDS and if you are unhappy with the proposed deductions, then there is an avenue for you to pursue this further. I can assure you our fees are displayed and are transparent inline with the ARLA regulations, they are not made up as we go along. A senior member of staff decided to issue the abandonment notice having taken the appropriate legal advice, as we had not been able to contact you for over two weeks and we knew you were experiencing problems. There does however seem to have been some cross communication issues for which I apologise. .On behalf of all the staff at Chelton Brown I would like again to say how sorry we are that you have had to vacate the property and have not been happy with our service, but wish you well for the future and hope you manage to resolve the issues that forced you to move out. GoogleTerrible service. They really don't care about any problems you might have. I spent most of my time chasing them with issues. All the staff i spoke with just seemed like they didn't care about their jobs or the tenants they are providing a service too. Me and my girlfriend went through so much stress with Chelton Brown we were very happy to see the back of them. They took a stupid amount of money from our deposit for a cleaning company i couldn't find any evidence of existing. Funny how a member of staff has given it 5 stars to bump up the google rating. Worst shower of idiots on the planet!
