GoogleAvoid, Avoid, Avoid I found the staff and owner at this agency, except for Anthony, to be quite rude and unprofessional in the way they handle the business of letting properties. Keith Walters is a rather pompous character, who comes across as poorly informed, quite ill-mannered, extremely rude and very disorganised. During the viewing, he was completely ignorant of which property was actually available to rent. Once applications were made and deposit and reference checks were paid for, there was no communication from them on how matters were progressing even though a holding deposit was made right at the start. In the end, I made it quite clear how unimpressed I was by the poor quality of their service, and they had to make a complete refund of all the costs. This last at least was done with no issues. Theirs is by no means a decent service and should be avoided at all costs.

GoogleI have recently used Chartwell whilst looking for a property to rent. I have mixed experiences with estate agents whilst looking for rental property, some average, some horrific, but rarely a pleasure. I have to admit, my dealing with Chartwell was a genuine pleasure from the start to the end. Very clear, informed, and timely communication with updates during the process which fully managed our expectations and desire for information. In no way aggressive or imposing, totally understanding of our position and criteria, all in all very helpful and friendly. The pathway from finding a property, that is literally our dream home, through to picking up the keys and moving was nothing more than a good experience. I dealt with 3 different people at Chartwell along the timeline (1 incidentally), and they were all consistently helpful and friendly. I have never come away from an estate agent (in renting, buying, selling) thinking "we should use them next time", but certainly I would here.

They have supported us with 2 moves of property and in both cases it has been a pleasure counting with them. They have been very professional, accurate and fast in understanding our needs and oustanding in finding the right properties for us. In particular Jon Acland has been always accessible, helpful and has provided us with valuable advice and top quality service. In summary, we have had an excellent experience. We will definitely use Chartwell again and I highly recommend them.

Chartwell lettings were instrumental in helping me find the right property when I really needed it. They helped me through the entire process which seemed daunting at first. They even helped me get some of my white goods. They really went above and beyond for me and I couldn't recommend them enough.

GoogleWe have rented out our property via Chartwell lettings for a total of 11 years and have found them excellent. Mark Kybert has always found us very good reliable tenants. Keith Walters is very responsive to client issues and they have a good network of contractors to carry out maintenance repairs. Both Mark and Keith have a great deal of experience in the field.
