Me and fiancée have generally had a really good experience with Charles Church and the on site team. Ben Francis the Sales advisor and the site management have been really helpful too. They’ve been really proactive and have made the effort for face to face contact. The house is great and we’re really happy with it, Ben did as much as he could to give us the house we wanted! The contact from the Persimmon customer service team has also been really helpful. The only thing that stops the 5 stars is the issue around some of the snags, which we feel some of which could/should have been picked up prior to completion. But that said the site managers Dave and Steve have both been really positive and proactive about addressing issues. Aside from that, we had both bathrooms tiled, and were told we couldn’t have towel radiators as standard radiators had already been fitted, but the radiators have obviously been removed to do the tiling.

We recently purchased our property through CC, and there were issues due to covid but the service received in Regency Park has been outstanding. The sales team have been responsive and are the reason we bought a new build. When we came to see a property for the first time and met Ben, I remember saying ‘I just want to buy a house there because I like Ben!’. The house is stunning, and it does have its snags (like all new builds) but we couldn’t be happier.

This was our first new build at regency park. Ben from customer services was amazing during the initial stages. We had looked around multiple developers and found his approach with us was the difference between buying a CC instead of a Taylor wimpy. The process had issues due to covid and supply chain materials but in the end all of our issues were cleared up. Snags have been rectified quickly. From start to finish we have felt like they couldn’t do enough for us. We are really happy with our new house.

Hi 5 out 0f 5 for the the sales lady Maddie - only issue is getting a response to our query around the garage of plot 1 Redland Grange. In that we would like you to leave the celling and plasterboard walls intact when the show-home is handed over to us at the completion date. We have have been advised to get this resolved at solicitor level - when this is simply a case that leaving the celling and plasterboard walls in situ saves you money and labour hours - and we have offered to pay you for the work done to put this in place in the first place. We do not expect to get anything for nothing - but we are sure we could come to an agreement that benefit both of us

I can honestly say it's the worst I have ever experienced in my life!It would help if you dealt with your lack of customer service and ability to get back to people - this is basic. Ben our Sales Advisor was excellent throughout and helped navigate lots of challenges that face the building industry. It cannot be easy with such significant affects on supply chains and uncertainty of people welfare to coordinate the completion of a new home and all of its internal components. Nonetheless we couldn’t be happier with the levels of dedication provided by the Charles Church team. It’s natural that we have had items/issues to be resolved, but full credit to them for being wholly supportive to achieve perfection and nothing has been too much trouble… that is all a home buyer can ask, that any issues are resolved professionally and swiftly.Thanks for a great experience and we love our home!!!!

Site team cannot be more helpful and build quality was good, with some small issues. Sales team was awful at the start, telling us incorrect information and getting our information mixed up with other properties. However, towards the end the sales team has been fantastic and really helpful.

Since we reserved the property, the amount of pressure, we were put under, despite explaining my ill health, was relentless. Constant calls from the CC office, mortgage brokers and Surveyors. There was no option for me to explore outside options. I understand they have a deadline, but they don't take into consideration individual circumstances. Its either my way or high way. Unfortunately there was nothing less that 1 star. I would not recommend them.

We were let down badly by our previous builder. We had to start again just before Christmas. We visited the Charles Church development at Wynyard. Nick Christie the sales person was excellent he listened to our experience from this he understood our needs and acted professionally and friendly. From this we were able to secure a property with a realistic timescale instead of idle promises from previous builder I’m Wynyard. Since sale updates on a weekly basis what a difference Charles Church 5 star customer service. Thank you

Please save yourself from the pain of spending 2 years trying to get basic things completed up to an acceptable standard some of which is related to building regulations. The incompetence is on another level they are even asking me to buy the correct materials for their customer service teams to fit to resolve the issue. I can't tell you how frustrating it is and how likely I am now going to have to pursue through the courts to get some form of resolution. Do yourselves a favour and just try and find a property from a better builder than Charles Church / Persimmon.Update: They will pretend they care and ask you to provide further information via Trust Pilot so that they can try to assist. I think this is just a ploy to identify you so that they can provide an even lesser service as now they don't reply to emails at all!

I have made a deposit for a plot of Oakwood Meadows in July 2021. We then requested not to further proceed the purchase end of the month and asked to have the £500 refund. I have sent many msg to the sales advisor, and emails to the office to follow up on this, however until now (4 months already), no one contact me about the progress, no contact point, no response! Checked their website, the plot has been sold already.

Trustpilot250+ Snags, worst bricklaying I’ve ever seen!
We have been in our 5 bedroom Charles Church home for 9 months now. Having snagged the property upon moving in we highlighted 250+ defects, some minor, some more serious and structural. Whilst the site manager was proactive in rectifying many of these, it soon transpired that his only reason for doing so was to gain a positive review on the NHBC National New Homes Survey. In fact, this was all that mattered; to the extent that we were given a new kitchen, along with other significant remediation works, all in exchange for a positive review. Since this survey Charles Church have gone cold on us. Nobody can answer any questions regarding the site, the street sign to the estate still hasn’t gone up, there is outstanding landscaping works to the front of the property and we have around 100 snags remaining. Before committing to a Charles Church home make sure you look at the carpentry and brickwork. The standard of both across our estate is shocking. When the sunlight catches the gable end of any house you can see how out of tolerance the brickwork is, the bricklayers leave mortar everywhere on the brickwork, and mortar joints vary from 3mm to 30mm (should be 10mm). Charles Church now manufacture their own bricks, and the ones to our house look very cheap. The carpentry of our staircase is very poor, with the same applicable to other areas around the property. The finish is just very substandard throughout, whether it’s the paintwork, plastering and alignment of internal walls (we have several out of tolerance), quality of the windows (many are scratched, poor beading) the list goes on!My advice would be to seriously think long and hard before buying a Charles Church home. Do your research and look at the quality of the other homes in the area. They really are the epitome of the new build nightmare stories you here. Built far too quickly without due care and diligence with poor site management and customer care.

We have lived in the Edmond Park Development in Frome for 4 years and I am still looking out of my front door onto gravel and mud. The pavements outside of my are a health and safety hazard. We were told that the works were going to be completed soon but we still have to struggle along the pavement which has pot holes is uneven. Gravel is coming into my house daily. I am elderly and my husband has dementia. I did not except this when I purchased my home 4.3 years ago.

Poor workmanship, nonexistent customer service but if you don’t mind spending thousands of your own money (on top of your purchase price and fees) to rectify all the mistakes their builders make, then it can be made in to a nice house. We have been in the house for just under two years now and are still chasing up snags from our 7 day snag list.
