Absolutely love our new home!! The houses are designed with family needs and living in mind. Would definitely recommend Charles Church. Our site team Chris and Jason have been fantastic and quickly helped rectify the few snags we had when we moved in. I'd like to thank Chris and Jason for their service and for going above and beyond, to help us when we moved in.

Disgusting customer services.Worst ever director for Midlands, not approachable and never get any replies. Massive amount of cracks on rendered wall and never rectified.Worst brickworks. After sales is disgusting.

While all new builds have issues, I for one have had very few, and those I have had have been fixed promptly and without needing constant nagging. The sales staff where extremely helpful (Russel, Tom and Holly) and once we moved in, TOM N, on site has been really great at getting our snags fixed both quickly and without fuss. Its people like these that make buying a new house a pleasure. Also, a thank you to Craig for keeping everyone honest and checking with me that things had been done.

Outstanding snags from the original 7 day list, 6 months after moving in to our property. Some snags have now been attended too up to 4 times and still can't seem to rectify to a good quality standard.....I think you need to implement quality assurance, some of your contractors are rookie and are literally taking the mick of you and your customers and yet you do nothing about it.....Disgraceful

Moved into a new Charles Church home in Mascals Grange..the service since the start was great from the sales office to the on site team..we were especially pleased with Craig the senior site manager who ensured his team worked hard and had our property ready on time. Any issues and snags were dealt with promptly.

Bought a Charles church house August 2020 I love the house but have found quite a few snags . Uneven floors , carpet , vinyl issues. Air vents outside covered over . Uneven patio slabs .Front back and interior doors have several issues , with door frames and brickwork around front door. There has also been a few leaks, chips and other tweaks that have become apparent to me . These are just some of the problems I’ve experienced. Ross Parkinson though , the customer care manager on site has been nothing short of wonderful. He has been so friendly and helpful. The worktop has been fixed and floor levelled in kitchen. The work that has taken place has been excellent and the workman very friendly. Ross as I have mentioned has been great at coordinating everything and if things carry on as they have been doing , even with the current COVID situation,If the snags continue to be rectified as they have so far . I feel I’m going to be generally quite happy with my experience with Charles Church as a company. Many thanks to everyone involved.

Poor drains work has flooded my garage. Local firm investigated with camera. They've covered up under ground work and no customer services. only an online "query" form. 3 weeks, no response. They have tens of sales lines, but no customer care.

moved on to the heritage park site reported cracks going all way up the steps across the house on the structure of the house toilet broken unable to flush reported 6 months ago.hot water never hot enough reported upon moving in was told thames valley needs to adjust it I can write a non exhaustive list of faults or REASONS eBay you should stay clear of this rogue cowboy builder but the tipping point is the kitchen material they used is just shocking. after 6 months the material starts to bubble . I contacted the company directly who said they are willing to replace the panels and accepted that it was defective panels but Charles church must approve it. they refused to approve it . the kitchen company has 1 star review all over the internet they were called the kitchen for a pound as it was dirt cheap. Charles church sourced the cheapest materials to build with to maximise on profit. stay clear of this company they are the modern day rouge trader

+ Nice houses, lots of space, site managers can be helpful- People who built the houses have the attention to detail of a blind chimpanzee. Appallingly slapdash with no quality control. Expect the customer to do their quality control. Quite good at fixing the snags but shockingly bad at building the houses with any degree of care

Buying a property from Charles Church was the worst decision of my life. At the time of purchasing I wasnt aware they were owned by persimmons. If I knew this I wouldnt of considered buying it. Anyone who doesnt know how poor persimmons are please go to the BBC website and search "Persimmon lacks minimum house standards"So I moved into my property in July 2020, I reported 78 snags within a couple of weeks. Once reported contractors attended, told me it wasnt there fault that items were broken, told me its up to Charles Church to resolve. Charles Church then refuse to resolve the problems unless I get an independent inspection to prove its an issue. After getting the inspection they reluctantly attempt to complete the work but say "they are doing it as a gesture of goodwill". They also refuse to pay for the cost of the independent inspection. Ive not had 3 month battle with them about virtually every snag I've reported. There contractors have failed to attend on over 13 occasions during this period. They have failed to respond to multiple emails and never call me back. On my estate there is around 40 houses. Ive spoken to around 20 people who have purchased the other houses. Not one of them is happy with either the quality or the customer care department. Not one!The entire process has had a massive impact on my mental health and effected my ability to work for the NHS and deal with the pandemic. To add insult to injury: I sent a complaint which was 7 pages long listing the refusal to rectify reported issues, staff not turning up, arguments between contractors on who should pay for the repairs. When Charles Church responded by saying "we are sorry for any perceived failings". They couldn't even agree they had done anything wrong! They have obviously not learned there lessons from the damming independent report from 2019.

Toilet soil pipe left open, built a stud wall over the middle of it and then covered with a carpet!! Part of the open soil pipe is in our lounge, the other part actually in the cloakroom, where they had obviously decided to resite the toilet. There has always been a smell in the house. Absolutely disgusting customer service, acknowledged first email over a month ago but now refusing to reply and at last count it took 45 minutes to call customer service and still could not get through. If buying one of these houses look under the carpets they have kindly laid. Will be taking this further, this particular house is on Kingswood

We have just moved into our new home in Grangewood Park, Burnham on Crouch.We have had some issues but we have been very impressed with the professionalism of Zoe in the sales office, who has gone above & beyond to make our completion & moving in day happen. Also Dan the site manager who is approachable, helpful and again goes above and beyond to help. Well done both of you we really appreciate it!

Charles Church @ Prince RegentJust received a phone call at 19:30 on a Thursday evening informing me that everything on the site has now been sold and the last 3 plots were due to be released for sale imminently. (The plot we’d chosen was the last to be built, ready in 10 months) I was told when placing the early reservation I wouldn’t need to do anything for the next few months. Now I’m being told I may need to be sold within the next couple of days!!!!As a earlier post said “be ready to walk away” and I now see why they receive such a low score. If anyone from Charles church wants to get in touch I reserved plot 46!

Poor poor poor no customer service full of bull. How long does it take to get your £100 deposit back. Houses on site that have been reserved for months and we were informed you MUST complete in 35 days. The price also increased by £10,000 haha always be prepared to walk away from a house hahaha no thanks Charles Church. Mmmmm this will be the 5th time I have requested my £100 back and still no refund :(

Purchased 2 years ago so waited until I gave review. We bought a 5 bedroom house. There were a few snags in the first 6 months which CC came round to rectify. The on site manager was excellent. I’ve never bought a new house before but I have to say that the layout is beautiful. It still looks like a hotel. If you like character then it’s not for you but after living in Scandinavia we like the clean lines and having always lived in older houses they have more problems, some unseen and very costly. Overall, we love the house. It’s very warm and cost efficient bills. We bought it after relocating and needed a property with no chain so had the intention to move within 2 years but will end up staying much longer.

If I could give no stars I would.I’ve never known such a badly run company with managers who are exceedingly rude and blatantly lie.I have spent two years trying to have the problems caused in my home rectified. Phone calls, emails and visits. With cracked walls inside and out caused by pile driving.They have denied all correspondence and even denied coming to my home.I’ve asked for management to visit (with obvious distancing) to the view the damage caused outside . Yet nothing Shameful.

We purchased our 5 bedroom house on the Prince Regents Court development in Sherburn in Elmet, Leeds towards the end of 2019. We moved in to our lovely home in March 2020. The current sales team and site managers are extremely helpful and friendly. We have fantastic views to the front of the house. The house has some internal snags which are still outstanding mostly due to the restrictions and effects of COVID-19. We are happy with the build and layout and have referred / recommended Charles Church to a number of friends.

My husband and I have seen the showhome in Cottenham and we were surprised to see a large crack between the wall and staircase (along the staircase). One of the curtains in the living room had been removed as the support was almost falling off the wall. Initially, we were very much convinced that this builder has the house we wanted, but not sure what to think about the quality of the house and what would be their after sales support when they did not bother to fix and polish the showhome. I have asked their representative about it and have been told that this is a normal process, but I very much doubt it. With only 7 days from moving in to report any faults and issues, I think that such cracks will appear later and then it will be on us to fix their poor work.

We have bought a house on The Mile site. There were a number of issues at the beginning and felt that some sub contractors had not done a good job. The quality control had not been addressed but now the site has a new manager and the team has worked hard to resolve problems and improve standards. The Customer care team are excellent, although interior work has been hampered by lockdown, any emergency repairs are dealt with straight away. We would recommend this site to future purchasers as the houses now have quality control in place. We love the design of our new house and look forward to when the estate is finished.

We purchased a new property at The Mile Pocklington.There were some minor snags but were quickly sorted out and we found Linda and customer service personnel very helpful as well as the site manager. We would have no problem recommending a Charles Church home.
