Disappointed from start to 1 year on. Still not able to export our solar and lies from customer services the whole experience has been bad service, very poor quality control. Unlevel ceilings, holes in ceilings, damp and mould, 11 new kitchen cabinets due to damage, leaks and the list goes on. Jamie and Jess in CS are next to useless. Repeatedly going round in circles, there’s no process to their actions your best bet is to know site manages who can actually achieve results. The quality is not Charles church it’s persimmon as it’s worse.

His attention to detail is second to none, nothing gets missed, and it is clear he takes real pride in his work. He also leaves everything spotless after every visit, which makes a huge difference when you are living in the house while snagging work is ongoing.

Trustpilotdon’t expect the complaints process to be as straightforward
Been in our Charles Church home for around 18 months and up until now, Customer Care have generally been really good at sorting any issues we’ve had.
Unfortunately, when a small issue turned into a complaint, things went downhill. You’d expect that when something gets to the complaints team, it would be properly looked into and dealt with, but that hasn’t been the case.
The complaint has been going on for well over the expected timescale. I’ve chased it multiple times, asked for an outcome and asked for it to be escalated more than once, but still no proper outcome.
The issue hasn’t been fully sorted, I’ve had mixed messages along the way and now my emails aren’t even being answered.
It’s a real shame because our experience had generally been good, but when you actually need them to step up and deal with a problem, the service has been really disappointing.
My next step is the New Homes Ombudsman.
Just wanted to share my experience and warn potential buyers that, when things go wrong, don’t expect the complaints process to be as straightforward as you’d hope.

We recently purchased our Charles Church home on Bluebell Chase using their part exchange offer.
The reservation process was smooth and straightforward and we felt we got a fair price for our property but Charles Church added incentives on top which made the offer more than reasonable.
Madison and Lauren in the sales team were brilliant from the point of reservation up to completion. They are helpful and responsive and there was no pressure at all to move things along as you sometimes get on the sales side when buying a new build.
Post completion, Beth and Jools on the site team have been fantastic. Communication is great and nothing is too much trouble for them. Handover was smooth and any issues are always rectified promptly. Snagging has been really straightforward too with the majority of the jobs arranged within a few days of our report being sent to site. Having bought a new build previously, the difference in service from the site team here is remarkable.
Overall we are really pleased with the property and the service has been excellent.

We’ve recently moved into our new Charles Church home at Wellington Gate and wanted to leave a special mention for Jamie and Paula, who have both been absolutely fantastic throughout the whole process.
From reserving our home right through to completion and moving in, they were both incredibly friendly, helpful and approachable. Buying a new-build can feel like quite a daunting process, but Jamie and Paula made everything so much easier. They were always happy to answer our endless questions, kept us informed along the way and were genuinely lovely to deal with throughout.
What really stood out to us was how personal they made the whole experience feel. We never felt like we were just another sale or plot number. They both genuinely seemed excited for us and made what was already a huge milestone feel even more special.
Even after we had exchanged and completed, they have continued to be just as welcoming and helpful, which says a lot. Every time we’ve popped into the sales office or needed anything, we’ve always been greeted warmly and nothing has ever felt like too much trouble.
We absolutely love our new home and couldn’t have asked for a better experience with the sales team at Wellington Gate. Jamie and Paula are both a huge credit to Charles Church, and we’d happily recommend buying here based on our experience with them.
