Plot 23 - Silverwood Garforth stay away

Plot 23 - Silverwood stay away. It's no coincidence that good reviews are all about individuals whereas bad ones are about the houses. I reserved plot 23 silverwood and then building stopped after a few weeks of denying build had stalled I was told it was due to laying off the brick layers. 8 weeks on, each week being told they had another gang starting nothing moved so I then questioned that something was wrong. I can see no other reason to stop building that single plot when all others were going up all around it. After cancelling due to my belief that there was a problem(if there wasn't before there was now given the amount of wood that had been open to the torrential rain) during a conversation about how they are NOT refunding my deposit the sales director helpfully confirmed that the brick layers were laid off as quality was below standard. STAY CLEAR OF CHARLES CHURCH THEY WILL SELL YOU A HOUSE THEY KNOW IS BUILT "BELOW STANDARD" Thanks for the quote Charles church. They will lie repeatedly to you to get you to buy. The really great part is when you pull them up on their lying they think it's ok and aren't sorry. Also the houses are full of design errors that have been there forever and instead of improving it they just can't be bothered clearly. E.g you can't actually put wardrobes in the wardrobe space in the master bedroom as the light switch is in the way. You can't get into the ensuite unless the bedroom door is shut. Just sloppy for the apparent premium quality they say that they are selling.

Home Buying As It Should Be ! Cannot Recommend Enough.

I Honestly cannot recommend Charles Church enough. Wow ! This really is house buying as it should be. A no pressure experience & taking the time to listen. Making my decision to Purchasing a plot in Whitworth Dale with the assistance & having the absolute pleasure of meeting James & Josh. James for bringing my dream together & it becoming an absolute pleasure to meet Josh who was becoming the new site sales advisor for the development. I Obviously have to give thanks to the whole team & management for really making my dream a possibility.Honestly though Josh Scott really has been amazing, the time he kindly spent going through the Select Options making a dream become a reality. And the patience without any pressure & above all even stepping out of the sales office & walking up to the plot to make sense of the drawings above & beyond.It was amazing seeing other owners on the development pop in to see James & his attitude to help & make a point of listening to their requirements really did just tick all the boxes while I was deciding on the Select options. It really was refreshing to hear that James even interacts with the site manager regularly.You honestly get the feeling that this really will be a flagship Charles Church Development when it’s fully completed.

Windows falling apart - have had to move my sons room

Forced to write again based on poor customer care. I have lived in my property for 3.5 years and there are still 30 or so defects remaining from 350 odd raised between the 1 week and 1 month defects lists.I have pretty much washed my hands with Persimmon in respect to the remaining snags with the exception of one, this being the shoddy windows with incorrect beads which have been installed across half the house. We had to move our baby from his original nursery to a different room due to the cold bridge and noise leakage from the window brought from beading which doesn’t fit. This is a common problem across half the windows in the house. This along with sanded down window sashes and windows installed out of plumb leads to an unsightly finish throughout, not what you expect for a half a million pound house. There have been 6 separate Contractor visits to the property over the last few years to review the problem, none of which have seen a proposed solution offered. I have even sent 3 quotes to Persimmon from local window fitters and this was ignored. Months pass without an update, Hannah Davies and her Customer Care (South Wales) Team, despite offers to visit the property so they can better understand the issue do not accept and continue to fall short in their after sales customer care.

Very pleased with the purchase of our new home in Festival Park Charles Church. Build quality was really good, very very few minor things during snagging and was easily rectified. We visited the Charles Church site in Tewkesbury and spoke to the rep Jodie.Jodie was very pleasant, respectful and knowledgeable. having visited another newbuild site previously where we were brushed off as we had not yet sold our own property, Jodie was lovely! she welcomed us, was able to tell us what was in our price range and give us a tour of the available plot. Jodie was very knowledgeable about everything to do with the construction, the various finishes, the later phases of the development and any offers or deals that could be made available to us.We are seriously considering purchasing one of these homes that seemed to be come with far more than other newbuild sites and the customer service was second to none.Jodie should have a raise or be employee of the month because she was everything a front of house employee should be: Polite, respectful, not pushy in any way but striking just the right balance of personal friendliness and corporate line. we look forward to going back
