I honestly couldn’t recommend Melissa from Bridges Properties enough. She took over the management of my home from my previous letting agency, and the difference was honestly amazing. I noticed such a huge improvement straight away and felt so much more supported and looked after. Melissa was absolutely fantastic throughout my tenancy. Any problems or issues I had were dealt with quickly and professionally, and she was always there to help whenever I needed her. She went above and beyond every time and always made sure things were sorted as quickly as possible. The difference between my experience before and after Melissa took over was honestly night and day. She was friendly, approachable, understanding and genuinely cared about making sure I was happy and comfortable in my home. I have only given a 5 star review because of Hayley. Before Hayley, I was dealing with Dan who in the end was making us feel a nuisance. Communication was a quick WhatsApp message saying ‘chased broker’ then nothing until the next morning when we had to chase to see what the outcome was. We had a sale fall through before this one and was naturally anxious and needed the reassurance. Our buyers mortgage offer took a total of 6 weeks to come through. Bridges in house broker was so slow, gave false hopes and no detail. Even the buyer had regrets about using Bridges broker. As a manager, I feel Dan should have been more pro-active during this process. It was extremely stressful. Despite all of the above, Dan passed us over to Hayley and thank god he did. Hayley was amazing, if she didn’t know the answer to our question she would find out for us and put our minds at rest. Hayley even kept in touch out of hours at 8pm some evenings as she knew how worried we were. Hayley does not give false hopes, she is straight to the point which is what I like. Thank you for your kindness and understanding Hayley, you were amazing throughout.

Absolutely appalling experience with Bridges. After years of using Bridges, buying and selling properties through them and having a longstanding relationship with the company, I am genuinely shocked by how we have been treated. A proposed tenancy fell through. No tenancy agreement was signed, no landlord offer letter was signed and no references were signed. Yet we were presented with an invoice for over £1,200 in “abortive” fees for a tenancy that never happened. What is even more disappointing is the way this has been handled. Despite asking for everything to be dealt with by email, we have continued receiving calls and voicemails chasing payment. The pressure and tone have been completely unacceptable. Apparently, a casual “yeah, perfect” on a phone call is enough for Bridges to consider you committed to thousands of pounds. Make sure you watch what you say, because clearly their interpretation of a conversation can be very different from yours. The biggest disappointment is the complete lack of consideration for a customer who has had a relationship with Bridges for years. The company we thought we knew clearly isn't the company we are dealing with now. £1,200+ demanded for a tenancy that never happened. Disappointing doesn't even begin to cover it. Zero stars would be more appropriate.
