No Comms, errors in booking appointment, couldn't even get my house valued

I was due to have a Valuation appointment on Saturday 17th October 2020 - this never transpired and I recieved little to no communication or customer service from the Branch in question. I contacted the office on September 17th and spoke to a member of staff who took the details regarding my property and booked me in with an appointment at 10:00, which I put in my phone's calendar. As I can only visit my property at the weekends due to my job elsewhere in the country I ensured I phoned well in advance to secure a valuation booking with them. As the time ticked on past 10:00 this Saturday I called the Coventry office again, to my dismay the member of staff I spoke to confirmed that my appointment did not appear to be there. They noted that they would contact the Valuer to let them know the situation and that they would call me back to discuss. Come 10:35 I had heard nothing, I assumed the Valuer was with a client, so I called back to discuss the possibility of another appointment the next weekend. I explained the situation to other member of staff and they informed me that there were no appointments available next weekend either but they would contact the Valuer to ask them to speak with me about potentially making time to see me considering the situation. I heard nothing then for the rest of the day nor through til Friday 23rd October 2020 (when I sent my formal complaint) this would have given the valuer plenty of time to contact me, apologise and see if there were any possibilities open to complete a valuation. I was incredibly disappointed by this and of course will not (and could not) go forward with a valuation or sale with them. The staff I spoke with were lovely and had excellent Customer Service, however the lack of communication from the Valuer, for me, is incredibly frustrating and an indication of their service.

Overall good agency to rent with. They have replied to every question I asked them and keep being helpful. The only thing which I would suggest to improve is the response time and advance clarity around what the landlord agrees to do regarding property management. Examples would include decorating, household electronics replacement and etc. It would save time for everyone involved into process and d would set up tenants' expectations in advance of their rent start date. Everything else is great. They always turn up on time for viewing, it is easy to make an appointment, they always pass my questions to the landlord. I would recommend them in future.

Professional and efficient

I am just leaving a quick message for anyone hesitating, looking for a letting agency you can trust. With Brian & Holt, it is the case (I spoke with a few in Coventry and some didn't sound right at all!). I was renting a house in Coventry from them (the tenants being 2 professional) and every time we needed something to be checked, they sent someone, for free obviously. In 1 year we had : the sink unblocked, the dishwasher unblocked, the backyard door adjusted, a new ring bell and someone to check one of the heaters that had a minor failure. From start to finish Brian Holt were extremely professional. When preparing the brochures they allowed us to make suggestions and changes. The overall quality of the brochures were of a high quality. Don't blame the agent!

Though it took a long time to make a sale that should have happened very quickly, we were victims of a string of unfortunate events all caused by 3 or 4 buyers whose decision-making was as logical as a hedgehog attempting to cross the M1 in rush hour. Best agent on the street!

I was very impressed with Brian Holt's work. They were consummate professionals and very patient with me as the landlord.. They provided me with detailed info on prospective tenants prior to and after viewings, even if the viewing did not turn into an application. They did not do the hard sell either to the tenant or me the landlord and they were very thorough, even going over the tenancy agreement details. They also always answer the phone, which I consider very important both for landlords and tenants. As a landlord with a portfolio of properties elsewhere in the UK, I would rate this agent as one of the best and certainly one of the best in Coventry.

We are incredibly happy with the service we receive from Brian Holt, the team in Earlsdon are always friendly and approachable with any concerns we've had in the property we rent. Due to the both of us being graduates we have had experience with five different estate agencies and Brian Holt is hands down the best one. They contact us immediately with any corrospondence and obviously it varies based on your landlord but we were able to find a property that allowed pets so I could take my sixteen year old cat with me to our new home. It took over two years to find a property that would allow pets at all but to the team at Brian Holt and our landlord it was no bother at all. Highly recommended, currently we are saving for a mortgage and couldn't think of any other agency to go with.

Truly exceptional from start to finish

Anna and the team at Brian Holt were simply fantastic. As the buyer of a property listed with Brian Holt, Anna was very professional and fair in the bidding process. We encountered some problems with the move as our initial buyer pulled out just before exchange, then our second buyers mortgage application was delayed for some time. Naturally, Anna needed to ensure that her clients interests were protected, but really went the extra mile in liaising with the various parties involved to help push the deal through. Without Anna's intervention, I believe that things could have turned out very differently. She clearly has a lot of experience in the industry, knows how to deal with solicitors, brokers, etc and is very prompt in her communications. I used an online agent to sell my property. Whilst I have no complaints in terms of how they dealt with our sale, the best endorsement I can give Anna is that I would use Brian Holt in the future. Price is what you pay and value is what you get.
