Poor company who build shoddy homes that are not fit for purpose. Their service is atrocious and they should be investigated for building dangerous homes and sued.

I was asleep in bed in the flat I bought from Berkeley when the fire started. 20minutes later it was gone and I was outside in my dressing gown with my 4 and 6 year old in their pyjamas.The fire brigade's report said it was due to missing fire stops. Berkeley still have not admitted liability.Do not buy anything from these cowboys. Not unless you want to risk losing everything or be stuck with a flat you can't sell.

DO NOT BUY from Berkeley homes, me and my family had to stand at 1:30 in the morning watching our first family home and everything we ever owned burn to the ground, we lost our twin daughters first clothes, first pictures, keep sakes, memories, sentimental items that will never be replaced, all because Berkeley built our block of flats with no fire stop and no cavity barriers to stop the fire spreading, Berkeley do not care about their customers they build quick and in masses and sell for a maximum profit and as soon as anything bad happens they deny any liability and leave you in the mud, there is clear evidence that our property was not built correctly and that Berkeley are at fault but yet 2 years on we are stuck homeless and Berkeley continue to deny they are in the wrong, we are not the first case from Berkeley being incompetent to build correctly and we certainly will not be the last, please do not put your families through the trauma we have been and continue to go through

Wish I could give no stars!Steer clear don’t waste any of your money,time or effort even considering buying anything from these lot.No fire stopping in our building meant that when a fire started in it,it spread and destroyed the building in minutes.We were very lucky to get out unharmed,you and your family might not be if you decide to buy a property built by Berkeley Group!

I bought a Berkeley flat. The building it was in burnt down in 20 minutes 2 years ago due to design level errors in the fire safety features. I now live in rented accomodation with my wife and 2 small children. Berkeley still haven't admitted liability despite the fire brigade's report pointing the blame at their corner cutting. Buyer beware.

We bought a house that was built by Berkeley home. It burnt down really fast because it was missing fire breaks in the walls. A report investigating found this out. Berkeley have tried to dodge this and have taken no responsibility. Google Worcester park fire, all the material is online. Do not trust this company!

We recently moved into a Berkeley home at Highcroft Wallingford. From first reserving the plot, the service has been excellent and extremely professional. We can not fault the aftercare which has been prompt and very efficient. All the staff have been welcoming and professional and give the impression that nothing is too much trouble. This is our sixth new house with different builders and Berkeley Homes have without doubt been the best! We would certainly recommend them.

The floor in South Quays Plaza, one of the landmark development of Berkeley, is flexing. Yet their customer service insists it is acceptable. (I will create an instagram account on it and paste the link here for potential buyers or any buyers who are planning to buy off-plan from Berkeley to consider what is Berkeley standard)I do not want anyone to experience what I am experiencing. I can assure you Berkeley can be extremely irresponsible to sell you a bouncy floor (or any other thing that you would not believe it would go wrong i.e. could be your ceiling who knows) without you knowing in the first place. Secondly, not only their flat, the promise from their customer service is underdelivered too. Senior Customer Service Manager attended my flat two months ago to give me high hope saying they would have it fixed. However, it was serious enough for them to pay multi visits but not enough for them to be willing to do anything about it without a solid explanation. Plays their customer like a fool.

I recently completed on a St Williams apartment in Oxted. They managed to stick to their deadline and exchange before the end June increase in Stamp Duty. Quality and finish has been good. More snags than I expected, probably due to the rush to complete before end June. However the customer service and focus on fixing the few issues has been exemplary. Very pleased overall.

The only thing I was not satisfied is the My home account. It is not user friendly at all. Newsletter put into the Reservation to exchange category and some in the Exchange to completion. This made me confused. And every time you clicked the Construction progress, it shown Coming soon with nothing inside. Until the property completed, the web is still showing nothing and the Buying Process is still in Exchanged status. I can only contact services manager to know the building progress instead of login and get the information by myself. I suggest that you can keep taking photo around the development and post it in the Construction Progress page would help a lot already.

I’ve been in contact several times to obtain some documents. I’ve been told “no you should call this number instead”, and given a new number. I’ve called three different numbers, and ended up on the first again. I’ve then been given three different email addresses where I’ve been told I would receive help, but I just get an auto reply back, with the standard “we’ll get back at you as soon as possible” line. I’ve even called several times and been promised that someone would call me back, but no one ever does! Even reached out on Twitter, but after establishing contact and explained what my issue was, it went complete silent! It has been several months, and a lot is at stake, but still nothing! I’ve never in my entire life experienced such bad/lack of customer service.
