I would give this company 0 stars if I could. Nightmare of an experience buying with them from start to end. 9 months delayed on the completion of our house and not a single person from Avant has any clue what they are doing or how to treat and communicate with customers. We have been lied to on multiple occasions and the wool pulled over our eyes. We would’ve been better off flushing our money down the toilet than putting our trust in such an unethical and frankly shambolic company. Please please do NOT waste your money, time or effort with Avant.

We bought in Stewarton Ayrshire, Scotland The building staff are fabulous, SO obliging,polite friendly and helpful. Nothing is a problem! The site foreman, and his crew, are excellent and on hand always.Ashley in sales, is a darling always on hand to answer any queries. The house is finished to a very high standard so we only have a small amount of snagging. The landscaping is lovely. We are so happy to have bought an Avant home, and would do so again.

We live in the Carnethy Heights development in Penicuik. There should be a drain outside our property but there is not so any time it rains we get flooding. They told us the bricks would allow water to drain faster however it is full of weeds and does not drain. It’s disgusting and a drain needs to be put in immediately. Contacted Avant with photos so many times but you just get ignored. Absolutely shocking

The Avant team here in East Kilbride made the whole process of selling and buying a home as straightforward and as stress-free as possible. Moving house is always stressful but Avant did their best to minimise this. Their follow-up and de-snagging service cannot be faulted. We are extremely happy in our new home and comfortably settled. Every new house has minor faults, some caused in the act of moving furniture and some by the builders but we made a checklist of every fault and indeed they have all been corrected by top-class professionals. One option is to employ a professional de-snagger (yes, this is a thing!). I never want to move again, but I would trust the professional and homely Avant people to assist in this process. A’ the best to our Avant team!A few tips:* Maintain contact with your moving team and let them know of any concerns or worries. I think they have seen everything and have a solution to most problems. * Make sure that your house purchase is what you want or need. There is no reverse gear. * Always be polite and friendly to the team. They are, after all, human and professional, but everyone responds better to a friendly and supportive attitude!

I bought a house with this company 1 and a half years ago, the dream of owning a house is more of a nightmare, I don't remember a single month that I didn't have problems with structure, with finishing, it's been a month since I've been sending an email and the customer service no longer bothers to answer, in my bedroom bathroom (suite) a crack appeared between the tiles (walls) I have already sent photos and they have not given me a response for over a month. This company has no respect for its customers, the service offered is of poor quality, I do not recommend it to anyone.

We’ll have been in our home 5 years in March and Avant have still not managed to rectify the drainage issues, resulting in the tarmac top coat being unable to be laid. There’s greenery growing out the sides of the roads and pavements because they’re not able to finish their civil works. I’ve given 2 stars because the general quality of the home was to reasonable standard following an extensive amount of snagging. We’re one of the fortunate homes which saw the benefit of the better finishes. The specification of the houses were dramatically reduced following the acquisition of Avant Homes in April 2021, leaving Avant without their trademark product and lacking their previous identity.

Bought an Avant Home near York in 2017. The customer service experience was pretty awful - lots of promises, very little action, fixing snags took months with constant personnel changes and often making whatever issue they supposedly tried to fix much worse. Most neighbours just gave up in the end which feels like the AH strategy. It’s been 5 years now and the last home sold over 2 years ago. We still don’t have road surfaces in, countless tires punctured and the place looks an absolute mess. They’ve been promising each month for at least 18 months to do something - written to us all and not followed up. Absolute joke of a company. Either they have no intention of delivering on their promises, have serious cash flow problems, or can’t deliver as there is a greater issue with the drains than they are telling us. They just ignore us now. 200 houses in all here. Millions in income for avant.

We purchased an apartment from Avant Homes in Richmond Gate, Glasgow in 2020. Covid19 meant the build was delayed around 6 months which was fine, understandable, however communication was very poor from Avant. Since covid, avant have never really recovered, the site around us no longer has multiple trades working to complete plots and weeks can go by without anyone on-site at all which seems to follow many complaints that Avant have cut back on staff across the board.After placing our reservation in December 2019 we were told at our 'options' meeting that a temporary access road would be used right beside our property for site & resident access while another street was closed for construction. This was said to be in place for 1 year and although not ideal it was something we could tolerate. Now, over two years later its still there. Vans/trucks/cars passing by within 1 meter of our building at all times of day and night, despite the closed street having re-opened for 5 months. I have contacted customer services on numerous occasions over the past year and heard:"this road will be removed when the main road re-opens after construction""the main road has reopened but we have no ground labour onsite, the access road will be removed when we get labour"and now nothing at all to my last email. Despite ground teams with plant machinery working on a new plot nearby. No response to my last email either.It seems to be a case of taking your money and not following up on the after care that you advertise. Such a simple thing as removing an access road which would take a few days and giving the customers a better quality of life and satisfaction seems almost not worth their time. Ive heard from others too that road finishing/paths/trees & planting are all being chased since they like to leave this until the entire development is complete rather than as they go.Would i buy from avant again? No, based on the customer service, replies from the site team and the lack of willingness to do anything to help people who have handed over their hard earned cash.

purchase process is a shambles. Lies by sales team encouraged by management. Complete lack of customer care..... once they have your money they drag their feet and do everything to avoid addressing snags. Very poor quality of finish resulting in many snags and each one is an arguement even the major safety related ones.The biggest problem is a culture of lies that comes down the line from management and is encouraged down the line meaning dishonest people must be the ones that are promoted in the company in my opinion. This is all to the detriment of the customer. This is not the first new build I have bought. The previous was a Taylor wimpy who although are not perfect they resolved the majority of snags within 14 days and the standard of finish was significant higher. They are least tried to keep their customer happy

There are so many issues with my house. I’ve been in over a month now and still I’m living out of boxes because the plasterer and paint work was of very poor standards all throughout the house. Now Avant homes are saying it just needs a touch up with paint which is certainly not the case the entire house needs repaired and repainted. My carpets are coming in a week and I’m no further forward. The painter has been stood down and I’m at my wits end with the lack of professionalism this company have for their customer’s mental health.

I am giving feedback 15 months after moving into my newly built house in cadley village swadlincote. Initial faults such as rusty hinges in the windows, cracked windows, guttering screws not tightened, blisters on the carpet were dealt with fairly quickly. A badly fitted door and door frame was replaced twice which took about a year. The biggest problem was the plumbing. From day one there has been a problem with leaking water and it started in the kitchen where the pipes from the sink were not screwed together. A badly sealed toilet in the upstairs laxity led to damage to the ceiling below, a leak in the downstairs lavatory and en-suite to replacing the floorboards. Gaps in the grout fill between tiles or even poorly applied silicone.Customer service does not answer phone calls or respond to messages. Reported faults take months to be repaired and it is often the case that deadlines set by Avant are not met and on any given day no one comes. Employees who resign from Avant Homes do not pass things on to colleagues the same happens with employees who are on annual live. Avant Homes is incompetent, dishonest, unprofessional.I would caution anyone who wants to buy a property in Swadlincote because after speaking to neighbours they all have problems to date that have not been resolved so I am not a one person case and it looks like this is their way of doing business. Shame on Avant Homes, correct yourselves.

Avoid and look elsewhere. Our house spec was changed and only voiced to us casually in conversation 8 weeks prior to our completion date. All requests for compensation for the unfortunate change in the house were declined by management.Communication and customer service is also very poor. Ended up having to pull out of purchase because the new spec of the Avant house was so far from what we had reserved and no longer worth the price of the house. The advertisements and show home are so so far from what you end up with at the end of the process due to their spec changes that happen and are sprung on you later down the line.
