GoogleDreadful service. Never known a business like it. I can certainly see why they have property on the market for so long. Nothing but obstructive and quite lazy. Simon responds to say there is no record of me in the system even though this review is in the same name. I dealt with Macy and I'm not a liar nor mistaken so trying to convince the reader of this review as such is a very poor attempt to misguide them.
Hi Steve, I’m not sure what interactions you have had with my staff but I find it hard to believe that they were obstructive and lazy. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss this with you. UPDATE: Macy is an apprentice in our Lettings team, she is still in training so it would be good to speak to you to find out how we can improve our training, it’s a shame that instead of emailing me directly you choose to just post a poor review. It appears that this is a common theme in your reviews, with far more 1* than any other. We are a family business and good customer service is very important for us

GoogleWe recently moved into our new home, after viewing virtually only due living 5 hours away. We were initially a bit anxious but Katie put our mind at ease and we are very happy with the house. Katie was super helpful throughout. She video called me from the property after I had a few questions, responded to all emails really quickly, and was especially helpful when she came out to our van (in the rain!) for our ID check after we spent 30 minutes trying and failing to park. I feel she went the extra mile and I would 100% recommend using Absolute, particularly Katie, to anybody. We even got a little moving in giftbox which was a lovely, and unexpected, touch. Thanks again Katie - you have been brilliant.

GoogleWorst experience with absolute lettings. Rented a property in Torquay.Received the property without cleaning,lots of dirt and floor full of stains,dirty stained old carpet.Letting agent said property is avaiable and keys can be collected from their office.Believing property is ready to be moved in ,booked movers, packed everything and collected keys .I was shocked to see the state of property which was left to me to move in.As everything was already booked and arranged I couldn't do anything other than tidying up the property by myself and move in.I informed absolute lettings agency about the condition of the house and it was all mentioned in the inventory list with images and described as not cleaned.On top of that, back door keys were not handed to me for 6 days ,I had to live there without any access to the garden or rear of property for 6 days. While vacating the property I was asked to contribute towards the cleaning of property with a huge amount quoted for cleaning the house, cleaning the garden,pressure washing patio and what not. This happened while I was admitted in hospital and I had to chase and follow up with letting agent,email after email to convince the letting agent about how the property was left to us which was extremely stressful and was getting to a point where I felt like I shouldn't have rented this property from absolute property lettings.The letting agent did quarterly inspections and never ever gave a feedback after inspections. several pictures were taken during each inspection and never gave a feedback on how they would like the property or garden to be maintained.I never caused any damage to the property,I left the property way better than how I received it and my bad there were several weeds creeping into this property's garden from neighbors garden.As it was not mentioned in any inspection about weeding,I never thought about it and I mowed garden as required.If that was ever mentioned I would have sorted out while I stayed there. After a lot of follow up mails and communication I ended up contributing towards cleaning the garden.I wouldn't mind paying if the property was handed to me in good standards. I wouldn't recommend absolute lettings to anyone considering the service I received.
We appreciate all reviews, even if they are 1 star, as they often give us valuable feedback as to how we can continue to improve our service for our clients. We are however disappointed with this review, as what has been mentioned had already been resolved between all parties, if the tenant was not happy with the £100 deduction, there is an adjudication process to deal with this and they chose not to do so. Sometimes it can take a little while to resolve any negotiations with the deposit as we have to correspond with both the tenant and the landlord. Whilst we can advise to a certain extent during the tenancy if works need completing, it is outlined in the tenancy agreement that there is a responsibility for looking after and maintaining the garden. The internal cleaning mentioned was not claimed for from the deposit, it was just the works in the garden which were agreed to and it was resolved directly with the property manager. Where properties are not at the standard that a tenant would expect them at the outset, we always do our very best to rectify any problems as quickly as possible, often we are only given access to the property for the inventory is just as the tenant is due to move in. Ultimately we are only acting as an agent for the landlord and it is up to them what they decide to claim for, accordingly it seems that this is more of a review for the landlord rather than ourselves.
