Alicja has been very pleasant, polite and professional to deal with, and the descriptions and backgrounds of the potential tenants we received were thorough and very much appreciated to help us select the best tenant. We also appreciated that 'all boxes were ticked' to ensure that the tenancy was secure and legal in every respect. Based on these factors, we would have assigned a 5 star rating. However, it took quite a lot longer to get the property on the market than we would have hoped and would suggest that Northwood could be more proactive in 'chasing' any outstanding paperwork, some of which we'd submitted and had gone astray. Very good service, but maybe a bit more urgency on clients' behalf please

Very good service, would recommend. I used Northwood Aberdeen for selling an empty property in Sunnyside Road, and they were able to assist with clearance/repairs/maintenance during the sale period all at reasonable costs. Other Aberdeen companies that I have experienced are both less willing to be helpful for what they see as unwelcome work like clearance/repairs/maintenance, and then if/when they actually do that work end up being expensive. Especially helpful was Ali MacGrory, property co-ordinator for sales at Northwood Aberdeen. Andrew Fraser.

Northwood were great to deal with from start to finish. We happened to come across a To Let flat in the window and from stepping into the offices to securing the rental it was first class service we got from Alicja Higgins. Alicja couldn't have been more than helpful with taking ME through the whole process and helping me relocate to Aberdeen and a big step moving away from home. Communication process was 1st class, emails with all details and paperwork were promptly sent and Alicja was there to answer any questions we had and very amenable.

I previously tried to sell a property with another well known ASPC agent in Aberdeen and the service was terrible. I approached Northwood and from the start they were completely different, the team were knowledgeable and clearly managed my expectations, despite it not being the best news. I placed the flat for sale with Northwood and within 4 weeks had it sold at a price which was acceptable to me. Ali and the team were proactive all the way, even with a difficult buyer and managed to secure the sale with minimum effort from me. I would highly recommend them, particularly in a difficult market where you may be struggling to sell.

They say that selling a house is a stressful event. Well that was not my experience working with Ali and Lisa at Northwood. From the first meeting at my property to discuss my intended sale to the sale actually going through the whole journey was seamless with me being kept fully up to speed on progress, viewers feedback and then achieving the price that I was wanting for the property. I have recently used Northwood as a letting agent having no real experience of them prior to this. However, there was a couple of issues during the tenancy e.g. not telling us that a trades men was coming out and tried opening our door while we were inside and when I phoned regarding this I got told they ‘just forgot’. This is only minor compared to the other issues I have experienced. Having terminated my tenancy with a few issues with the land lord to be sorted, I thought this would be resolved quickly and my deposit would be returned quickly minus a small fee. But having tried serval times to contact Rory in the Aberdeen branch, it now appears my calls are being ignored and the phone has been hung up on me while trying to contact them. I recommend that you use someone else’s phone as once the caller Id comes up with your number it seems to assist in vetting the calls they will answer. As it stands I have been trying to organise my deposit, which should be a simple task for nearly a month now with promised emails not being sent and various other communication promised but not delivered. It is only my opinion but given the treatment by Northwood to myself and having read other reviews online I feel you may be better served using a different letting agency that may be more customer focus.NegativeResponsiveness, Professionalism

Northwood did a fantastic job for me. I was selling a second property which I owned. I lived 60 miles away and needed assistance from Northwood to prepare and show the flat. Because Northwood are also letting agents, they have access to trusted tradesmen i.e electricians, cleaners and removal firms. I needed these trades to assist me and prepare the flat for sale. This ensured that when the flat was put on the market it looked it's best which helped sell the flat quickly. The team at Northwood are very professional and know the Aberdeen market well. I also used Northwood's recommended solicitor for the sale - Andersonbain and they were perfect. I would now like to make a special mention of Ali Clark - Northwood's Residential Sales Manager. I dealt with Ali from start to finish. She arranged for various trusted trades people to attend my flat to carry out work in preparation for the sale. Ali is a first class communicator. She kept me informed and guided me through the sale process from start to finish. I was never left wondering what was going on at any time. She goes above and beyond to help a client. This is the kind of service all sellers want. The sale from start to finish has been smooth and hassle free. I strongly recommend anyone considering selling a property to use Northwood. Thank you Ali and thanks to your team at Northwood and thanks to Calum and his colleagues at Andersonbain. It was a first class service from all concerned.

My husband and I put our flat on the market the very year Covid hit. Owning a property in Aberdeen and living in Inverness could at times be a challenge but Northwood looked after all our needs. It did take a little longer to sell with firstly covid and the market in Aberdeen being flooded with property for sale. However Ali Clark looked after our property and took care in the winter months to ensure the heating was on and the flat was ventilated. It was a huge comfort to us knowing the we could email or call Ali and she would call round to check all was ok. She also assisted with the flat clearance and recommended a firm to us. Given the huge challenges in selling a flat in Aberdeen at the present time we are delighted that we have now completed. Thank you Northwood for looking after us so well.
