Very pleased with the service

I’m a recent landlord renting out my property via apropos/DJ Alexander and I found them to be very responsive, quick and efficient. I’ve been especially pleased with the services provided by Stephen Lawson who I’ve chatted to quite a bit throughout the process, he’s been great and always has a quick answer to sort out my questions. I’ve also briefly liaised with Elliot/Evie and they’ve been very helpful too, overall I’m glad I rented via this agency, especially as I live abroad so it makes it much easier for me & less hassle to deal with property issues.

We have recently sold two properties and DJ Alexander have been brilliant from start to finish! We valued having a single person through the process actively progressing the sale and providing suggestions as we encountered some tricky issues. Communication was excellent and they went the extra mile even responding out of hours. This is the best estate agent ever !

Unfortunately my review is not good, after 3 seperate emails and 2 phone calls to the company they have still not responded to my requests, on the 2nd phonecall I was advised they would email me back in the afternoon and they have not. Funnily enough when our letting agency moved all the properties over to this one and a problem occurred with payment they were quick enough to get in touch then. EDIT After Aileen left a comment I emailed her detailing the whole of the situation and she phoned not long after, she apologised for everything that had happened and said she'd be addressing the comments I'd made, I then received further emails from various other emoyees in response to my requests I'd been trying to make. I've edited my review to 3 stars to reflect the conversation I'd had with aileen and getting the issues resolved.

Very poor management and professionalism! Had issues with the roof tiles that caused alot of noise and sleepless nights since Day 1 that we mentioned countless times but it went unresolved throughout after 9 months. The management is such a disgrace that you have to send the same email a million times to different people and the matter still remains unclear and you're back on square one. Like the other reviews, leaving them was the WORST! - We spent a day cleaning the property to quite good standards and took pictures as proof yet are being charged £110! - We were emailed to drop the keys through the post, which we did and thankfully made a video of it while doing so yet we received emails 2 months later charging us for not leaving the keys! - Barely any damages to the property and charging us £55 for a few scratches on the wall - When discussed with them on email they keep changing their stance and it's back to an unclear result - After a discussion over the matter we were told they would look into it, a couple of days later we get a reposit charge for £178! Extremely disappointed with the entire service, wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Trust me, no matter how nice the house is it's not worth dealing with them.NegativeQuality, Professionalism

Awful service from stonehouse during difficult times when we asked for rent reduction during covid. Property Manager Jackie never at office so you have to deal with someone else taking even more time to get a response. Other staff member Mandy also likes to spell very easy and common peoples names incorrectly 4+ times in emails even when you tell them how to spell the name. I would never reccommend this agency to anyone if you like one of their flats you're probably paying too much for it, just look for another flat with a different agency and save your time.NegativeQuality, Professionalism, Value

Many of the services were automated and online meaning that when we did need access to information it was readily available. If we did have more questions, and there was a lot, our contact Laura Mc was extremely responsive and friendly, often picking up the phone within minutes of me sending an email and remaining professional and friendly throughout. This is so much better than the agents I've dealt with in the past who takes hours or even days to respond. Next time we move, I'd definitely want to use D.J Alexander again!

Chasing Deposit Return Since June 1st

My son and his flat mates have been waiting for his deposit to be returned since vacating a rental property from this company on 1st June. They are not responding to the deposit safe company, my son or myself despite numerous calls. The checking out team have no direct lines of contact. You have to await a phone call which never materialises. Awful service which is causing stress, anxiety and financial difficulties.
