Chris Parkin was my mortgage broker, really helpful I had been told from another company that I would not be able to get a mortgage, Chris went above and beyond to make it happen. We had issues with the lender taking unnecessary time on some issues Chris chased them everyday and I am now in my lovely new home. I will definitely recommend Chris in the future.

I had a very disappointing experience with [Agency Name]. I initially booked a viewing for a flat that was on sale, only to find out the appointment was cancelled because the flat was sold, and they forgot to inform me.Giving them another chance, I booked a viewing for another property. However, they insisted that I use their mortgage advisor even though I already had one and an Agreement in Principle. When I refused to change my mortgage advisor, they immediately cancelled my viewing appointment. This kind of behaviour is unprofessional and unethical. I would not recommend this agency to anyone.

I was looking for a one bed flat and somehow I was transferred to Dan Mooney, He took two days to get the information about tenants and then email addresses and after he said the property has been rented out. Whenever you try to call him, he doesn’t pick up and anyone who picks up, they don’t want to transfer the call to him, I am from London and now I know why Manchester has a bad reputation, and no work ethics. Avoid this estate agent, and Dan Mooney,

They will call you in and tell you to speak to their mortgage advisor who then tells you that he can get you the property if you sign up with them for £660+ non refundable, he will use their own solicitors too. My wife and I asked what about the other bidders and he said, the vendor won’t see those bids don’t worry. This is completely illegal and we walked away, he then said you are willing to walk away from this deal and get outbid. I said yes I would rather lose out on 20k than give you one penny. It’s kickbacks galore in that place and we know full well we will now not get that property. I would love to speak to the person selling the house but they have moved abroad and left these clowns in charge.

GoogleWould not recommend York Property Shop to anyone......not even my worst enemy after the way we have been dealt with. I wouldnt even give 1 star! At the start of looking to buying a property with YPS I was really happy with the contact and professionalism we received. However, once the contracts were signed and it was a done deal it went from bad to worse. Part of the offer we made was on the property (£500 over asking price for this) was to include a few jobs being taken care of prior to completion which I have emails showing the agreement in writing and several emails assuring me they would be completed by the completion date (28th Oct 19) ready for handing the keys over......not a single one of those things was done for completion and I found myself feeling stressed and deflated on the day of completion due to this and having to actually give Ali a key back (at his request) so that he could gain access to the property for these jobs to be done! Baring in mind we now owned the house!. It is now 3 months (15th Jan 20) since and several of the jobs STILL haven't been done despite myself and my husband chasing Ali about this.....only to be fobbed off over and over again! We were also told in the property information that the heating and boiler were in good working order! The boiler blew a week after we completed and cost us just under £3000 outright to get a new one and have the heating system treated and fixed up as it was in that poor condition and neglected as the plumber told us. My advice would be to steer clear of these guys even if you do see a good property with them! Use one of the bigger estate agents and hopefully avoid the utter disappointment we have had to endure from using these guys!! Never again!! It might be worth noting that York Property Shop had been managing this property as a rental for a few years before it was put on the market to sell by the owners.

We are shocked, saddened, surprised and disappointed by this feedback for the following reasons; *York Property Shop had never been involved in the management/running of any tenancy at the property - to claim that we did is 100% untrue. *The contract is between the Vendor, Purchaser and appointed legal representation, the Vendor being responsible for honouring any agreements made and providing accurate statements as to the condition of fixtures & fittings. *York Property Shop is contactable 7 days a week, 365 days a year and every enquiry is attended to swiftly. The option to speak with us regarding any matter is always available. *With reference to the items agreed, the suggestion was to have at least 1 week between exchange & completion to allow for them to be carried out - however, the sale exchanged on a Thursday and completed the following Monday (leaving 1 working day to do them). *York Property Shop offered assistance, post completion, when not obliged to do so and arranged for the workmen to attend as planned & agreed by the Vendor (plumber, glazers and a builder) all of whom were contactable for full attention. *A boiler that's stopped working a few weeks after a completed sale...

Even during these difficult times, the letting agent Ali has been so helpful, always responding to our emails and messages and went above and beyond to help us get into our property. Ali was also very professional and friendly. I would recommend them to anyone who are looking to rent in York!

Worst company I have ever dealt with in my life!!We moved in roughly 5 years ago to a house that was in need of a lot of tlc. The first year was fine and we renewed for another 12 months. Then came the problem with our bathroom floor. It had rotted and crumbled away leaving a huge hole in the floor. Numerous reports were made and it took almost 3 years for them to send out someone to do a quote. Again, we heard nothing after this. After more pushing we got another quote and then once again, nothing. In 2022 we got an email with “end of tenancy checkout” which we had no idea about. I rang them to ask what was going on and they said “oh yeah the landlord wants his house back you’ll get a section 21 in the post”. Nothing came and I said what is going on and they replied saying “sorry it was sent in error you can stay”. What the ****” Fast forward another year and we get a section 21. It comes to us needing to leave and a potential landlady asks for a reference and she says sorry I can’t do it they’ve given a poor reference. Obviously I asked them what they had said and they accused us of not paying rent!!! We have always paid and had agreements in writing. They said our rent comes through in two separate transactions on their system even though it’s sent in full on payment and I have sent them bank statements to show this, they won’t budge. So now they are refusing to give us a reference and we are becoming homeless in 9 days time as no landlords will accept us due to their false information!I am absolutely disgusted with how they have treated us. We have children and they’re happy for us to be without a home due to lies! They are rude and do not communicate. This is the York branch. Vicki especially is the worst of the lot!AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

I had a very bad experience with one of their estate agent in cheadle hulme. Be aware of Omara, she views you the property and stands still and doesn't even puts up an effort to speak or show the property. A pure lack of training and wonder how bridgfords keep a check? On top, if there's other properties to see, they'd give you excuses and never deliver what they promise, delays on delays. I guess barely they have good agents and mostly its all bad. Its pitty to know what such companies has such employee who works as if they are forced to do so.

Do not under any circumstances go with these! They will steal from you. They never asked prior to us applying whether we would need a guarantor and because it became obvious we did after application they decided not to go with us and stole our holding deposit from us. We a family with a small child and a baby on its way and they refused to give us our money back. They wouldn't budge a little bit. Not even offer a little bit back. Horrible estate agent that will rob you blind. Do not trust them!!!!

In 3 months I did not have one proactive call from the Knutsford branch. Indeed when we cancelled the contract they left all the listings up for 2 weeks and only took them down after I chased them
