Refused to return deposit after tenancy ended, eventually complying four months later after we enacted formal action. Ignored all our calls and emails, and during the little communication I could get with them I was treated with more rudeness and dishonesty than I have ever experienced. In particular Deposits Manager Paddy and Leanne consistently treated us with the utmost contempt. Probably some sort of illegal operations behind the scenes. Avoid!

I recently moved into Brigford property and I can't express how grateful I am for the fantastic support from Lucy and Murray. From the moment I began the application process, they were incredibly helpful and attentive to my needs. Lucy guided me through all the paperwork with clarity and patience, ensuring I understood everything. On move-in day, Murray went above and beyond to assist me, he helped with any questions I had and made sure everything was in order. To top it all off, I received a delightful box of chocolates as a sweet welcome gift, which added such a nice touch! Their friendly demeanor and professionalism truly made my transition seamless. I highly recommend Brigford to anyone looking for a welcoming place home.

GoogleI don't normally do reviews, but there is time where i have to make exceptions, and this is one of them. The stress Ali has taken off me, reference getting tenants, and keeping them, I can emphasise enough. He vets everyone thoroughly. He looks after 2 of my properties. One in York, and the other in Sunderland. Anything needs doing, he sorts. He has an extensive choice of Tradesmen to do any type of work, if needed. His charge for doing this, is a lot cheaper most, and he works very hard for it. I could go on and on, but I would run out of space. Ali, is a person who can turn your portfolio of houses, into a less stress free zone. In today's world of renting out properties, he is the man who'll make your life easier. The worst out there, put us through so much drama, very stressful and mentally draining, their mortgage broker is absolutely useless, 4 months later we were declined, absolute waste of time, waste of energy, they just didn't want us to buy it for some reason, maybe because we are a different skin colour to them! Stay away from the burnley branch, good lord, how do they get away with this bs.

Bridgefords are the worst estate agents i have ever come across, i am so glad i did not decide to sell my house with them! They never answer the calls, constantly leaving voicemails, very rarely they call you back! I viewed a property with them a week or so ago & no follow up phone call the following day, I wanted to make an offer , left several voicemails & nothing! Please avoid Bridgefords at all costs. They are the worst estate agents i have ever come across. Please stay away!

GoogleI have never met such a strange agency before. I submitted a request for a viewing a month ago. When they called to book a viewing, they said to call next week (it is not clear exactly on which day) and they did, they called us the next week and said to write (it was already confusing) they wrote again with no answer, although they said that the viewing would be on Sunday, but they never booked it (by the way, the agent sent the letter around 12 at night!!) and finally they still announced the day and time for the viewing, of course we came to take a look, they said everything suits us, they immediately wrote an email asking us to provide a questionnaire and everything went quiet again, they did not provide us with anything, after three Sundays they only wrote to us if we had any additional questions ... and so on for a month, no questionnaire, nothing, wasted time, but that's for the best because if you deal with this agency, it would definitely not be possible to solve any issues or problems, for me it is still a question of how they conduct themselves your business, the apartments are still available, no one is contacting you
It's disappointing to receive this feedback, especially as the process involved was explained clearly on multiple occasions. As you are aware, very many enquiries were received on this property (over 50 ) and we ensured that every enquiry received attention. Additionally, we allocated a viewing day to accommodate the large number of interested candidates which resulted in having to wait for directions from the landlord. Whilst your interest in the property was noted, no application process was ever entered into and we could have answered any of your queries at anytime as we are always contactable. Good luck with everything.

GoogleAli was very helpful throughout the whole process of finding a new flat to live in at short notice. He arranged a viewing within a couple of days and I was able to move in as soon as I was ready, which reduced a huge amount of stress on my part. As a student it's often a struggle to find reasonably priced and good quality accommodation, and York Property Shop manages to achieve both! Big thanks to Ali, I would definitely suggest using York Property Shop to anyone looking for accommodation!

GoogleFinding the ideal rented home at present time , it is a very stressful process, but as soon as my husband contacted Mr Ali, he promptly found us a house on our preferred location. Ali is very professional, competent and proactive person, always happy to help and nothing is to much. We couldn't ask for a better person to find us the perfect family house. We definitely recommend Mr Ali to anyone whom would like to find a house with no stress involved.

Absolutely shocking , no chase ups , no progress or updates for my purchase, no follow up , consequently a £400 k purchase failing at the last minute , not qualified to sell houses correctly, , complete garbage im afraid , cost me thousands in abortive fees , totally lied to & lead down the garden path. A waste of 8 months of my life , totally in shock upset & devastated

Negative experience unfortunately.While they sold my house and met their contractual obligations, the communication and service from Pauline was poor.Close to completion, I spoke to the manager Nicola, evidenced the issues I faced and I offered what I believed to be a fair 80%. Unfortunately she didn’t agree, which meant it was escalated to the ombudsman.The ombudsman agreed to my 80% “As a gesture of goodwill In recognition of the communication issues faced and visits to my property without prior consent”.Very disappointed with the service but was more disappointed that the Macclesfield branch would accept no responsibility and see things through my eyes when I tried, amicably, to reason with Nicola and provided evidence. People make mistakes and things happen in business, but she was having none of it and for me it was the principle of the matter.Based on other Macclesfield position reviews this may well have been a one off, I’ve purchased before with Pauline and she was great then.One advice I would give is don’t be afraid to speak up to them - even if they don’t reply to you - it’s your sale, time and money and you have a right to receive good communication. I regret not escalating things earlier in the process.

Put my property up for sale with them all they do is over promise, the staff have no idea, couldn’t accept any feed back and very patronising, everything was a struggle after 3 viewings in 7 months took house of the market with them. Absolutely useless as a manager of 40 years if they worked for me they would all be unemployed.Stalybridge branch over promised and under achieved.

He is a thorough gentleman who consistently goes above and beyond, often doing things he isn’t even required to do, just to make the process smoother. Dealing with him made my move incredibly easy. His professionalism, kindness, and willingness to help make him an absolute gem. I would highly recommend Mr. Ali to anyone coming to York to rent or buy a property. If I could put 0 I would. My cousin gave notice that he was giving up the flat due to family and health issues. Before he was able to remove his things (within a week) they have taken his belonging and given only some clothing back. They have stolen a family air loom watch (Rolex) , cash that was for Christmas, not given back any expensive trainers .. they have drip fed some things back since like the tvs and yet to receive the Xbox, they have photos of his stuff on their report which they haven’t given back. They are not to be trusted . They are proceeding to trade non ethically and illegally. Reports to police have been made. They prey on vulnerable people

would not recommend this company to any landlord. The fees are extremely high, with additional charges that are not always made clear from the outset. Communication is poor, and it is often very difficult to get hold of staff when you need support or answers.
