Love our new Barratt home at the Bridalways, Eccleshill.As with all new homes there will always be a few issues to sort out once moved in.I can’t thank Jenna and Nigel enough!!!!!Any problems reported to Jenna are acted upon straight away and sorted without any hassle. Leaving us to get on with life. Jenna has a great work ethic and we’ve always felt like we’ve been prioritised even though I’m sure she’s spinning many plates.Thank you to you both.Well done Barratt’s you have a good team here at the Bridalways!!!!!!

Newton Farm Barrat Home

As a first time buyer we were apprehensive and out of our depth to say the least. We were quickly put at ease when the amazing Barrat sales advisor Stefan Cassidy spoke with us. Stefan was 100% the reason we bought our new home with Barrat. Stefan answered all our questions and was never judgemental throughout the whole process. Stefan went the extra mile at every step and we appreciated it so much. He continues to keep in touch and make sure we are settled and happy with our new home. It’s been an absolute delight to have Stefan be apart of this journey and we are so grateful he helped us find our dream home.

Our second home from the Barratt Group

This is our second home from the Barratt group. We lived in and loved our first one for 30 years!There were a couple of issues for us which we hadn't noticed when we decided to buy, so we worried that they could not be resolved as the house had been completed at this stage.However, the team at Penning Fold have made sure everything has been sorted for us.We're beyond grateful to everyone involved for making that happen and we can't wait to move in now.A huge thanks from our family.

not fit for purpose

We were told to move in when it is still not fit for purpose: there is a lot of mud in front of the house, council waste collection can't be done because the street is still full of contractor vehicles and fences, the street is not even open yet so the address can't be found by delivery vehicles, snag list only moves after a lot of chasing and still not complete after 3 weeks from moving in. The construction manager has been very helpful but there is only so much he can do.

Given 3/4 different moving in datesFelt like only interested in money rather than customer.At first meeting, told we would get $5,000 for furniture at Anderson of Inverurie, part of reason we took flat, after moved in mentioned it and told we could go out and just give plot number, next day told we weren't entitled to it.Front door doesn't fit frame, gaps in all 4 corners. Been in over week, still haven't got garage parking space. First experience of dealing with Barrats, wouldn't recommend to anyone. Was left voice message saying Barrats were pulling out of deal, due to hold-up with paperwork, absolutely nothing to do with me, yet left stressed, in hindsight wish you had. No one from sales team has been in touch, Barrats is a joke

Flat is nice but smaller than showroom

Flat is nice, but i was disappointed in the size when i went in, after seeing the showroom, my new flat is not the same, yes i know i got floor plans, but i wished i had been able to see my actual flat before the missives were signed, i did request this, but got told only workmen were allowed on sitebuying a house/flat is the biggest purchase one person will spend on, so it is vital that it comes up to their expectations.speaking to other people who have done the same, they have had a chance to see their new house/flat , wearing hard hats etc.Barretts should permit this too

Me and my wife recently move in to our new house which started off awful, Mitchell Tuzzeo at Bertone Gardens is a huge credit to your organisation and goes the extra mile. Really helped make our dream little house feel like a a proper house to come back to. Completely changed what was a hard emotional sale with endless problem become a dream. During this period, we had the pleasure of meeting Jane, who informed us that the specific house we were considering purchasing lacked a showroom, as the showroom had already been sold. However, through our conversation with her, she thoroughly explained everything about the new house, instilling in us a great deal of confidence that we would find it appealing. Therefore, relying on her professionalism and trustworthiness, with her help and guidance we initiated the property purchasing process, which proved to be stress-free and swift from beginning to end.Moving on to the day of the handover, I had the pleasure of meeting the Assistant Site Manager, Flo (Floritine), who made a remarkable impression. Flo is an incredibly impressive and professional engineer with exceptional customer service skills and a keen attention to detail. We have just purchased our first home at the Wintringham site and the Barratt team have been superb from start to finish. They have been very helpful, explaining every single detail and taking us through the process step by step. There were no surprises and everything was clearly explained. The team was in contact with us throughout conveyancing and were always happy to answer any question. The sales team are amazing, greeting us with a big smile every single time. Please be careful and do not buy Barratt property

Please be careful - Barratt developments are rushed and end up having faults that will cost you money and time and health! There are numerous water escapes happening across all Barratt developments with high frequency. There are faulty built parking lots with leakages from the roof. There are malfunctioning doors blocking all cars in parking lot for hours. And many more issues....Barratt is not a good investment. Please re consider any purchase you are planning. Take this seriously!

Stefan made our journey of purchasing our first home very straightforward. We faced no issues throughout the process and consistently kept us informed of any updates. Throughout the process Stefan gave us visual updates of the build which made us very excited. If there was any questions or advice we needed, Stefan was always there and had the answer. His excitement for us only made the process so much more easy as he was super friendly and kept in touch throughout. Stefan himself played a factor to why we decided to buy in this area as straight from the off we knew he would be truthful & helpful. Rob in the sales office of Pentref Llewelyn was fantastic. You can tell that he doesn't lack experience and will go above and beyond from the get go. The build is also completed to a very high standard and just looking at the show homes got us thinking about purchasing. I strongly warn anyone against this…

I strongly warn anyone against this developer. We moved in over 12 months ago, (moved in February2025 )and our garden remains incomplete. Despite dozens of attempts to resolve this, we are constantly being stalled. The developer keeps claiming they are 'hiring a company' to finish the work, but there is never any progress or concrete dates, just endless excuses.

Issues began seven days prior to moving in when we discovered that the garden and patio differed substantially from the promises made by Barratt. Despite assurances from Barratt that all discrepancies would be rectified, no action has been taken five months later.

Not honest,only money oriented

2 years ago when we moved into a new build at Gilmerton Heights, Barratt was promising play area for children, 2 years later they are building houses there instead. This is not to mention anything else about the lies they said when selling these properties. No ramps on the roads making people speed , zero safety. I could go on forever.
