So...My partner and I put in an application for a property we had previously viewed and liked.8 days later, no response, after twice daily attempts to contact the Holmfirth office with no one answering the phone. When I did finally get through and asked for call back at noon the day after it seems simple instruction is way too much, because did that happen? No it didn't.Our application wasn't accepted due to their miscommunication with the landlord to what was and wasn't allowed. In this case, a cat.How much is it to ask these days, for a company to actually do what they're paid to do, e.g. their job.I feel these days that companies like this need to apply to me to tell me why they should be my estate agent, and not me their tenant.Currently, the rental market is a shambles, overpriced, completely misrepresented and let down my money grabbing firms like this.I won't be applying for any properties with their logo on, again.

I had a terrible experience with Linley and Simpson at the Bingley branch. We let a property out through them and completed a tenant check out for the previous tenant. Although they did find a tenant quickly, the communication was non existent. During the let out process I had absolutely no contact and no updates for 5 weeks. I eventually phoned the office to find out what was going on to discover they had a range of issues which they had not informed me of. At this point I began contacting the office regularly to gain updates and found that both my calls and e mails were regularly ignored. On 2 occasions where I was waiting for money to be paid to me I waited over 2 weeks past the point it should have been paid and on both occasions I had to send several e mails and make phone calls to chase the money they owed me. I found the staff rude and unhelpful. Will not use them again and would not recommend them.

My husband tried to book an appointment for viewing, they asked so many questions (even personal questions, for example why does he need 3 bedrooms, when he told them it’s because the family visits him very often, they asked back if the family coming to live with him, they have to do the application form too??!! Excuse me but what? They are coming for visit ...and why does he need 3 bedrooms and garden? They have other properties with 2 bedroom...and other stuff) she kept holding the phone on him, took all his details.(it took 15 minutes!!) The agent last question was when my husband got really angry, “ARE YOU BRITISH CITIZEN?” ... we didn’t even understand this, why is she asking it when he has a Greece accent! (She could heart it in the first questions/answers) and why is it so important, as there’s nothing rules or laws for agencies to only give the property to British citizens. She said we must be British citizens to take the house!! She was very disrespectful, we never felt so offended in the UK before. We are both in shock, this is pure discrimination and racism. Worst agent ever. Not recommend.

A great example of modern day advancements Estate Agency. The staff are so polite and engaging with both landlords and tenants. As a tenant, I cannot say enough how wonderful it is to deal with people who exemplify great management and customer service. It’s a pleasure to call the office and be treated with such respect and courtesy. They represent my landlord well and as a company who hold such a large part of the rental market, it’s great to see them leading the way forward with such professionalism. They are setting the bar of the future and I highly recommend them to every discerning private tenant, who is seeking a professional property management Estate Agency that offers an outstanding and excellent rental experience.

GoogleReally sneaky estate agency. They have the worst properties to rent but always too expensive for what they offer. When they have a good one, they publish it through the night on different platforms, and it doesn't matter how many emails you write or how soon you call: they already gave it to someone else. Not a very honest or fair practice.
