Special thank you to Tyla at the Holmfirth branch - after plenty of phone calls it was so nice to finally meet, Tyla came to do a routine inspection on the property that I rent and was incredibly patient with me when I had to reschedule due to eye operations and such like. I would recommend Linley & Simpson to any of my friends or family looking to rent a property. The whole team are lovely and always willing to help you wherever they can, and look after their tenants well. Thank you Tyla for all your recent help Jon :-) :-)

We have had a very positive experience with Linley & Simpson in managing our rental property. Most recently, Mia Barker handled the replacement of a cooker very efficiently, keeping us well informed, obtaining alternative quotes and helping to coordinate the work through to completion. Communication throughout was clear, responsive and professional, which made the process straightforward for us as landlords. Many thanks to Mia and the team for their support.

My wife and I have been so impressed with Linley & Simpson, both when we bought our house through them 5 years ago and more recently over the last few months now we're letting it out through them as landlords. They have been very professional, efficient and pleasant to deal with. We are newly first-time landlords, so we really appreciated Steve and the team helping us navigate this. They've been absolutely worth using and I would strongly recommend them.

From the start of our viewing process to getting the keys has been fantastic. Beth Suggitt has been professional and understanding throughout. Making a big move from the South to York has been made so much easier because of the agents. She facilitated viewings, kept us in the loop and we love our rental property! Harry was great picking up the keys too- would recommend Linley and Simpson to anyone looking to relocate.

We recently viewed a property to rent in York managed by Linley and Simpson with the agent Harry Cowan. This was a new experience for us, as we currently own our home and have not rented a property for several decades so we are not familiar with the process. Linley & Simpson were great to work with. They came out to discuss our sale promptly, were knowledgeable about the area and friendly, not pushy. They worked swiftly and managed to get our photos done and on the market extremely quickly for us, at our request. Thomas Barker was our main contact and he was responsive, professional, friendly and efficient, and the rest of the team were great too. Would use again and recommend them.

Repairs

Reported a problem on Thursday last week with my shower. Sophie called within 12 hours for extra info and within 2 hours of that call a contractor called me to arrange a visit. Someone came on Monday to fix it and it was fixed within half an hour. Sophie was extremely professional, polite and engaging and got my problem fixed within a couple of days. Thankyou so much

Lynley & Simpson: a great team effort :)

Lynley & Simpson in Harrogate have sold 2 houses for my partner and myself recently with no issues at all. They got us both a good price in very little time and were very professional and friendly in their dealings with us. Their Sales Progressors (Cal Siswick and Courteney) in York have been a massive support in terms of communicating with solicitors and other people in the chain which has made a big difference when negotiating the stressful phases of exchange and completion.

Landlord review

I have been a landlord with Linley and & Simpson for over 10 years and never had any issues but this last year has been terrible. They only communicate by email, they take forever to respond to simple tasks and significantly over charge for any work being done by their contractors so I have had to get my own contractors involved which then makes me wonder why I pay a management charge?
