GoogleLovely apartment in excellent location overlooking the river. The management company were professional friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this apartment if you want to visit York, and I will certainly be looking to return and stay here again.

GoogleExcellent apartment with an ideal location within the city centre. The only down side was we had to chase the check in information as we didn't receive it in advance which made to 2 days before a little stressful.

GoogleTreated poorly. Images taken and submitted at the start of the tenancy were chosen to be ignored when leaving the rented property. Therefore, a large percentage of my deposit was taken to 'supposedly' bring the property up to a standard I never received it in. Avoid if possible.

GoogleQuite simply the worst agency I've come across. Issued the wrong fob, had to stay in a hotel, which we've had to pay for. Staff managed to lose the spare set of keys three times. God awful customer service. Inept would be a compliment.
Dear Samuel, I am sorry that this is your thoughts on CityLets York. As you can see from our many positive reviews this is clearly not a common occurrence and overall our customers are satisfied with us as and our service. As you are aware from recent discussions, you were in fact issued a correct fob also, which you subsequently left in the property and were unable to gain access to your rental accommodation. We, in fact, did not lose keys to your property at any point, we borrowed yours to conduct works on a couple of occasions and then had some cut to ensure minimal disruption to yourselves. Again, I am sorry to hear your thoughts on us here at CityLets York, my team are well trained in lettings practices and I can assure you they are not incompetent, they have many years experience in customer service and pride themselves on the support they provide to our tenants and landlords. GoogleWhen we looked to rent a house we didn't specifically look for City Lets. We found the house we liked the look of and were required to deal with City Lets. If there was a way however that I could have automatically gone to them I would have done. We called mid to late afternoon and got a viewing that very same evening. We liked the property so needed to pop in the next day to do some paperwork. Jacob met us with his great personality. Karen then took over the paper trail and I have to say it was so efficient. She was super organised and we didn't waste any of our precious time. So thank you City Lets.

GoogleWe have been a Supplier to the Serviced Accomodation Dept for some 2 years now and value City lets very much as being a. experts in their field b. knowledgeable and very experienced at what they do and c. at the top of their industry sector. It has been an absolute pleasure to work closely with them as a business but also to have and continue to enjoy dealing with a bunch of individuals that whilst very proffesional at what they do , they are human ! , they listen , discuss and allow youi as a supplier to contribute and suggest . GoogleDO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Having arranged a morning viewing with this company I was phoned on the day to be told that they had double booked and would fix me an afternoon viewing instead. Already terrible impression - what professional double books? learn to use a diary. Some time later I received another call - they had just finished signing the paperwork for the property with someone else...they had lied to me, they had had no intention of rescheduling. On top of this they knew that I had driven some three hours to get there. No apology was offered. Only use this company if you want to be mucked about.

GoogleApproached City Lets last October with a criteria and deadline, and within a day I was presented with several perfect options. Thomas, a member of their team, was excellent in organising a viewing for one of the properties at incredibly short notice, and within two days, the deal had been completed. I have received the occasional phone call from Thomas checking that I am happy with the property, and City Lets service, to which I cannot fault. I would highly recommend them to any prospective tenant looking to rent in York. 5/5!

GoogleSuperb service when renting our shared house of four. We were shown around a beautiful house by Tom who was nothing but friendly, professional, knowledgeable and patient with us. We agreed to take the property the day after viewing and City Lets were very timely in providing us with all the information we needed, and accommodating in finding a date that all four of us (all working different schedules) could attend to sign the relevant details. The first place I would go to in future if moving in York again.

GoogleThankfully I do not have to live in a City Lets property, I just own a property next door to one. In the last 16 months we have had; - Their contractors hassling us to park inside and outside our gated driveway whilst accompanied by the agents - Clearly audible racists and homophobic banter between contractors and agents referring to previous and future tenants - Their contractors dumping garden waste over the fence into our garden - Their contractors parking on double yellows across our driveway and when not doing that blocking the whole street - Tenants leaving rubbish on our land/drive & blocking our access with vehicles and claiming that the City Lets have not informed them they should not be doing this - contrary to what City Lets have told us - The latest tenants are just moving in and once again they verbally claim not to have been informed of access issues. In addition City Lets did not disclose that there is currently a boundary dispute/legal nuisance issue with the property contrary to what they confirmed in writing they would do. It is also apparent that the property is not 100% as they had advertised it. Repeatedly we have had assurances in writing that they would warn/inform contractors and tenants, repeatedly they have apparently not done so. It may be that everybody bar them has issues with telling the truth, but when I have had direct contact and subsequent written apologies from them it did not tally. I would be very wary of dealing with them as a landlord or tenant.

GoogleCity Lets was extremely helpful. My girlfriend and I are students, and when we moved to York, practically no other agency would work with us. City Lets, however, showed us around a few properties, and then one excellent apartment came up on the agent's screen while we were in the office. We went to view it, and signed the papers the next day. Now we love it. The staff is open and friendly and considerate. I recommend this agency without reservations.

Lex, Tom and Karen have gone the extra mile to ensure that our letting experience has run smoothly from starting out to finding a suitable tenant. They are always happy to help and take away any anxiety which might be associated with the process of letting a property.
