GoogleI have just recently arrived in the UK, first time renting in York. Carter Jonas made everything simple, and by the moving date of my choice everything was ready and taken care of. Thank you David for all your help and for answering all my questions. And I really like the apartment I am renting. So far everything has been great.

GoogleI have been very pleased with Carter Jonas as my letting agents - especially Holly Bedford who has consistently gone a long way out of her way to look after any concerns from myself as Landlady and those of tenants. I feel that I am in safe hands. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable service.

Telephoned 4 times before I managed to get through. Left a voicemail - no call back. When I finally managed to speak to someone they stated that they were not doing anymore viewings despite the property only coming on the market yesterday. I was a cash buyer with no chain but they were not bothered stating everyone is a cash buyer. Rude!!
We are very sorry to hear you are disappointed. In this instance we were told by the property owner that they did not want any more viewings irrespective of the buyer’s position. Please contact us at marketing@dacres.co.uk and we will ensure your requirements are fully registered so you benefit from being on our mailing system. The current market is very busy and we understand that can be an immense source of frustration for buyers but that does not take away from the high standards of service we aspire to and which are reflected in our overall service rating.

GoogleAs a tenant I wouldn’t usually be minded to say kind things about a lettings agent. However the staff at the Micklegate office were all professional, courteous, and helpful. They do the simple but important things well: respond promptly to voicemails and emails, and always arrive on time to viewings (a lot of lettings agents can’t say that!). Keep doing what you’re doing.

They liased with our previous letting agent and guided us through difficulties with our previous contract. GoogleI’m really disappointed... there have been 2 properties I’ve wanted to view and I’ve called numerous times and left messages for the rural team to call me back to arrange viewings. I’ve never had a call back and no one in the non-rural ream would help....I would imagine they would all have access to the same information? If not I suggest they do! One of the properties was a £1000 per month rent and has been advertised for longer than you’d expect - does the landlord know it’s probably because no one gets back to them to arrange a viewing? I would imagine they make a commission when letting a property? Shame they don’t want to make money. I guess Jonathan must be smashing his targets so doesn’t need to successfully rent another property?
