Thanks to the team at Michael Poole Yarm for being so good through out the process of selling our property. The team helped with communication issues with other parties, provided us with timely updates and answered any questions. Both Nick and Amber were friendly, polite and professional at all times from booking appointments for viewings up to negotiating and exchange of contracts. Special mention to Nick who managed our stress levels after issues arose that were out of our control. Through the diligence and professionalism of Nick, the sale was rectified after seemingly been dead in the water. In the absence of updates from anyone else, Nick put in the extra to make sure we knew something. Thanks so much ! Even after completion, Amber made contact to wish us all the best for the future after a unique set of events. Overall a great experience in what was a very stressful time. Amazing service from Amber and Nick and a really speedy process. Viewings were arranged straight away and we received asking price offers from all of our first three viewings. This was really beneficial to us to have our choice of buyers - as we were buying a new build and needed someone who could move quickly and not delay us with their chain. During the process of getting valuations, another estate agent had recommended advertising our house at £10k less than we did and implied the prices in my area were unjustified. We are really glad we chose Michael Poole as the experts in Yarm/Eaglescliffe as the quick sale shows the other agent was undervaluing our property - this money has made a lot of difference to our moving costs. Amber kept me updated on the buyer’s progress weekly and helped to push the sale along throughout - we exchanged contracts in just 6 weeks which was perfect for us buying our new home from a developer.

MP don’t provide the most basic customer service/experience

MP are only interested in speaking to you when you have a viewing. My House has been with them all year and because there’s been little interest I haven’t heard from them for months. No check-ins, no phone calls just to let us know they’re still trying to sell. Estate Agency’s are all the same, just choose the one that will charge you the least % at sale as all the agency’s do is use rightmove. We were promised proactiveness to seek out buyers, as they don’t speak to us we will assume this doesn’t happen and it’s purely waiting for potential buyers to find our house on rightmove. We’d remove the house from sale at this point, but would need to pay MP a fee despite them not selling the house or even providing the most basic customer service. We aren’t bitter the house isn’t selling but the least MP could do is suggest ways of pushing it, they havent thought of one thing, instead it’s us who come up with ideas. To just leave the customers whose houses aren’t selling and never touch base with them is unforgivable service. Poor, poor show, we thought the agency couldn’t get worse than our previous one!!
