So our experience was that we had to move because our landlord was selling the house we were in. I contacted several estate agents and Shipways delivered, as in, they replied within minutes, gave us options within 48 hrs, booked us an appointment for a viewing then and we secured a home in a month after first contact with them. The paperwork was transparent and easy, the agents are the best, very communicative and easy to talk to. Post moving in, maintenance dept is very easy to talk to (very responsive). High recommended!

After being hounded to see one of there mortgage consultants when we said no to them valueing our house due to have 3 people already and having it on the market, never getting back to us for viewings, numerous calls from different branches for for all the above, to then getting a call asking if I have any properties to rent out and then asking if I had any coming up, honestly this company cannot organise themselves and are clearly the worst of the worst people

We have had nothing but continuous support and guidance from Matt at Shipways who has taken charge of our mortage. As first time buyers with very little experience or knowledge, Matt has always been at the end of an email and responded to us in a timely manner to ensure our question were answered even during his AL. It has felt like a long old journey trying to find the right property for us and getting a mortage that fit with the lifestyle we want to continue to lead. We were contacted by others members of the team when properties came up that were within out budget which definitely contributed to knowing what we did and didn't want in a property leading us to finding the one!!!

Shipways- kiddiminster Awful experience and I dont normally write reviews.Libbie was really unprofessional, constantly had to chase and then still couldn't give us the courtesy of a phone call when property went to someone else.Told us many time we were the only people interested in a property but then 3 weeks later after constant chasing for updates other people had been chosen. As an estate agents it's not hard to follow up with all parties interested with a property or be honest from the start! Just unprofessional.

Extremely disappointing experience…

Extremely disappointing experience using Shipways Kidderminster to purchase our home. Communication was poor throughout, emails were ignored on multiple occasions, leaving us in the dark during crucial stages of the process. We were explicitly told the property was not part of a chain, only to discover later that it was a serious misrepresentation that added unnecessary stress and delays. Additionally, we were given misleading information about why the seller changed solicitors, raising further questions about the transparency and professionalism of the service. The final straw came on completion day. After our funds had been transferred and the sale was legally complete, we were told by Shipways that we still couldn’t access the property for another hour because the seller was still inside the house. This level of disorganisation is completely unacceptable. Would not recommend and would strongly advise others to proceed with caution if considering this branch.

AVOID AVOID AVOID! We tried selling our house through Shipways to no avail and then changed to another estate agent. This was agreed to by shipways. They provided us with a list of people they introduced to the property and we passed it on to our new agent. We had a buyer and sold last autumn. Shipways are now trying to claim £4000 off of us through a debt collector claiming our buyer was introduced by them when they were NOT. We have the list and we have proof. Shameful behaviour! Also, they listed our property (when we bought it) as a 3 bed when it was actually just a two bed. Be careful about this when they say a loft room is a bedroom because it might not be. We lost thousands because of this. Do yourself a favour and use any other estate agent.

Buying a property couldn’t of been made easier Matthew Gibbs’s sorted everything for me I didn’t really have to Do much just send my statements and I’d and rest was taken care off. he will get you the best mortgage deal possible then when your looking for a property he will call up the sellers for the best offer on the bid so you got more of a chance of getting accepted. I also recommend you use Zoe Matthew’s as your solicitor too as they work as the perfect duo very professional and experienced they been doing this a long time and you wont be left hanging there’s no long waits on replies or inquiries either all the updates will be chased up accordingly and sorted for you honestly hassle free service A++++++++ will be using them both again when I come to sell/ buy again!! Don't give Shipways your phone number

Providing Shipways with your phone number is a mistake. I have never signed up with Shipways to buy or sell a property, yet even now (two years after giving them my number) I receive a couple of phone calls every month. I know that doesn't sound a lot, but it is a nuisance. I block the numbers that call, but they always get new ones to use. They promise to remove me from their system but evidently this doesn't happen. Absolute bloody pain.

Disappointing experience from shipways mortgage services

I signed up for Shipways’s £699 mortgage programme under the impression that it would make future applications smoother and more efficient. Unfortunately, that hasn’t been the case. I recently needed an Agreement in Principle (AIP) and reached out for support, expecting a streamlined process since I had already provided ID and paid fees during my original application through Shipways when I bought my house. Instead, I was told I needed to redo ID checks through Credas, despite no one mentioning this as a future requirement when I first signed up. It took several days to even get a response, and by that point, I had already gone ahead and sorted everything out myself online. The process, which was meant to be hassle-free thanks to the paid service, ended up being more effort than it was worth. The lack of clear communication and responsiveness was particularly frustrating during an already busy time in my life. I wouldn’t recommend the £699 service based on my experience. It felt more like an unnecessary complication than a convenience.
