GoogleA disappointing service. Ineffective communication. Surely it would be best to talk than send an email to request urgent information!

Hi John, we're disappointed to hear of the negative experience you have had with our Romans team in Wokingham. Here at Romans we understand the importance of providing a high level of service to our customers. We believe that when any issues arise that through the use of effective communication we are able to swiftly address these and alleviate any concerns. I have had the opportunity to discuss your comments with Sophie Peters from the branch who was the member of staff who primarily dealt with your application and move. From viewing our system I can see that during your application the Wokingham team were attempting to gain copies of the right to rent documentation which was required before your tenancy could commence, the right to rent documentation is something that legally we must check. Sophie has mentioned that she did attempt to communicate with your co-applicant via phone a number of times in an attempt to express that these documents needed to be provided before keys could be released for the property. Within our business in instances such as this our staff do attempt to communicate via phone call wherever possible as we recognise this is a more direct form of communication but in this instance as Sophie could not make contact by phone she instead put this in writing to ensure that the information was relayed to you. After taking into account the points raised above I do not believe the Romans team in Wokingham have acted incorrectly however we would like to offer our sincere apologies that you felt the service you received fell below the high standards we expect of Romans. Inefficient, stressful and extremely costly. I used Romans for both Sales and Lettings, both experiences left me feeling I should have managed both processes independently as I, along with my solicitor, did 99% of the work. This would have meant far less stress and cost being incurred in both instances.
