At the risk of stereotyping, Estate Agents rarely get a good press. However, when I recently contacted Seymours with a view to purchasing a couple of investment properties, Spencer Darrington in Sales worked tirelessly with enthusiasm and professionalism to find me several potential purchases that where within the parameters we had discussed. Ashleigh McCabe, on the Lettings side of the business then provided me with an insight on what the rental potential might be and an overview of the area the properties where in. I never had to chase either of these guys; they were helpful and informative, and they have been a pleasure to work with, resulting in the purchase of 2 properties, so thank you Spencer and Ashleigh I will be back for more.

We had a particularly challenging experience, as our sale involved four different buyers due to a range of issues. Initially, the process felt smooth and well managed. However, the first three buyers all fell through for different reasons, including issues with mortgage approval, finances, and a lack of progress. One of our accepted offers had buyers with a 5% deposit, which unfortunately was not communicated to us upfront. Had we known, we may have made a different decision, as we would have preferred a buyer in a stronger financial position at that stage. This situation also meant we needed to consider additional financial implications with little notice. While we do recognise that we were particularly unlucky, we feel there is an opportunity to improve the initial vetting process of buyers, as well as ensuring that the information provided at offer stage is accurate and consistent and ideally provided in writing. Thankfully, our fourth buyers were reliable, and we were able to complete the sale and move home. That said, Clarissa from the sales progression team was exceptional throughout, and we cannot speak highly enough of her. After our earlier experiences, we specifically requested that she handle our final transaction, as we had complete confidence in her, and she absolutely delivered. She was proactive, communicative, and incredibly reassuring during what had been a very stressful process, keeping everything moving forward with clear and honest updates. Her professionalism and dedication made a significant difference to our experience and were instrumental in getting our move over the line. Despite the difficulties we faced, the team did work hard to generate strong interest in our property, with lots of viewings and offers throughout.

Started looking at properties to rent in the Woking area. After the first initial enquiries We found ourselves dealing with Tom from Seymours who was attentive and responded to our needs with efficiency and speed. Pulling out all the stops to find us a property that would meet our needs and within budget. A special mention for Tainey who went above and beyond to make sure our queries are resolved. (2019) Absolutely amazing letting agency by the far the best I have come across Would especially like to thank Luke and Sam burrows who have always been very helpful even once when we had an emergency on Sunday they sent over an emergency plumber who came and did the fix. Back in 2014 when we first purchased our house in Woking Ben Alexander helped us with finding the perfect property for us which he did! So in 2020 when we looked to sell and move on it felt natural to get in touch with Seymours again and Ben was on hand to help with the valuation and images of the house. Brett helped us with negotiations and was also very helpful and always willing to give honest feedback from viewings. Mateo at Seymours in Woking is a credit to the company. I recently had no hot water. Reported in the morning, he called me immediately and arranged for a plumber to attend the same day. He took all the relevant info for the plumber, who arrived within a few hours, changed a thermostat and resolved the issue all within a few hours. Exceptional service. Thank you (happy tenant)

I would definitely NOT recommend Seymour’s. They were disorganised with viewing and came without the right keys, had no proper access to 2 properties and had to ask passing residents to let them in and unprofessional in the lack of communication and pre booking arrangements. The guy who tried to show us property’s was realty polite actually and helpful it was was the organisation and lack of back up form his office that was most shocking. If this is how they treat potential letting clients, what are they going to be like once they have you hooked .
