Its very difficult for us to give this review but its important to reflect the experience. I was happy with the service up to now but recent experience has been disappointment. They use one size fits all approach. We contacted them regarding the leakage issue in the kitchen on Friday around 17:00 and their response after number of questions is that its not classed as an emergency so we have to wait till Monday. I requested that we have young kids and please consider this, although output is same - unhelpful. They will contact multiple times on phone for rents but won't even take effort to follow up about the issues. We highlighted issues in the property during their visit, they took photo but not follow up. I gave them benefit of doubt up to now but looks like this was not the case. Please be careful when dealing with Finders Keepers as tenants.
Thank you for your feedback. I have spoken to the team involved to obtain a little more information on the situation. I believe the issue in the kitchen was controllable and did not present a threat to life or the property, which is why it was not deemed an emergency which required immediate attention. I believe the property management team arranged on Saturday for a plumber to attend the property on Monday morning, so I am sorry to hear that you found the response unhelpful. GoogleThis was our first time using Finders Keepers and I cannot fault them. From the moment we saw the house we wanted they were first class. Our property manager, Sally was so helpful and always on hand for any questions we had. When we had to, unfortunately, end our tenancy early due to job relocation, the whole team were there to help us and were very understanding of our situation. Would highly recommend.

GoogleDealing with Paul at the moment, moving in mid October. So far he's been brilliant, open, honest and does what he says he will. Unlike some other agents in the area. Property is reasonably priced too, not sure who's choice that was but given the current climate it's nice to see landlords/agents not taking the mick. Thoroughly recommend.

It's unfortunate I'm having to give this rating, but I think it's important to share for future landlords (and tenants). Ignore all the good reviews from years ago - back in 2018 I had a good experience, but that is not the same case with current team so beware. The tenants messaged me a lot to say they were unhappy during their time, but in all honesty I trusted FK and stayed with them. But when the tenants left (and did not leave everything in a good way), FK did not do an adequate check out in my opinion. They didn't share the report with me. They gave the tenants their deposit back and have not fixed the faults now as their responsibilty. I now have to repaint rooms in my house, accept some broken fixtures and make good areas that have been poorly maintained. I'm not sure what exactly the 10% fee was each month or the fees to manage the contract. Responses took forever and then them forgetting what they said on the last call. Really really shocking, I couldn't possibly recommend with the current team in place.

Safeguarding neglect: Allowing contractors to access rental property without properly notifying tenants. In one case a female tenant (student, early 20's) was alone in the property and exited her bedroom to discover a complete stranger (male) standing in the hallway - this turned out to be a contractor who had been given access to the property by FK. Failure to keep proper records and to update paperwork correctly: Incorrectly advising tenants of their monthly direct debits causing a deficit to be allowed to accumulate over several months before correction was made and demand for recompense. When complaints are/were made they are/were met with a level of arrogant defensiveness that is/was unprofessional.

GoogleI have rented my property through the Finders Keepers letting office in Witney for the past ten years. The staff have always been attentive in their management of the property, ensuring both the landlord and tenants receive efficient service. When there was an issue with an unfortunate case of a tenant who was found to be sub-letting, the staff resolved the issue promptly. I have been impressed by the friendly nature and general professionalism of the staff with their communications and I feel reassured that, with their attention to detail to the maintenance of my property, it is safe in their capable hands.

A crime! as the company name suggests. I just can not get how a company in a country so regulated like the UK can get on with this way to make business. I felt like trapped by a mafia style way of exploiting tenants and taking advantage of their vulnerabilities. Very traumatising experience renting a flat with this company.

They are very professional since the start when Paul the Manager has showed me 2 houses to choose available where I made the right choice to get the lovely place in Corn Street. We have been with them for almost 5 years & should have continued only if we did not purchased another home. Barbara & Jenny in Finders Keepers are diligent attending immediately to my inquiries or requests needs with regards to our rental property. They attend to our needs as soon as I have brought it to their attention. Thank You Finders Keepers for giving us a happy memorable experience with our tenancy also with our good relationship with the Landlord. GoogleWe recently had to assist one of our builders to relocate nearer to our business and we found a house to rent through Finders Keepers. Paul, the manager has been great throughout the whole process . He assisted and liaise between my builder (which is a non-English speaker) and the landlords and assisted us until we got everything done and both parties happy. If all renting agencies would provide the same support and assistance , it would be different , in a positive way.

Extremely rude and unprofessional service from Denise at this letting agency’s Abingdon office. Her attitude was condescending and completely unacceptable. I really regret not reading the reviews about this agency before using their services.
I’ve spoken with the Office Manager at our Abingdon office and, unfortunately, it seems as though all the correct procedures were followed. You would have been presented with links to our Guide to Renting multiple times in the search and application process, and within that we explain the legal terms under which a holding deposit would not be refunded. This is not a company policy, but the terms under Tenant Fees Act 2019 which all agents would apply. The tenancy was not entered into with the required 15 days (as the tenancy agreement we had created and sent you had not been signed), and you decided to then not proceed with the tenancy. I’m sorry to read that you felt Denise was rude and unprofessional as this is extremely unusual. We normally have very positive feedback for how she helps our customers and clients and so we apologise for any miscommunication. Victoria (FK)
