GoogleIf I could give them 0 stars I would. The worst mistake of my life was choosing to get involved with this company. The agents do not communicate with each other, are rude and do not care about their clients. When emailing about the property I was renting, I would not get a reply for over a week every time. They put a new door on the property that was a health and safety risk, so that when I was trying to move out I could not get my furniture out. The door would barely open to even get a shopping bag through. When addressing this, I was dismissed and told that it could not be true even when I provided images and that there was not anything they could do as they actually did not even manage the property, all they did was collect the rent which they failed to inform me before starting my tenancy. The paint on the walls came off and if it got wet it would strip fully off due to the use of cheap paint. When I did actually get a reply, it would be rude. The agents clearly just want to look good rather than actually be good. From my experience, they do not care if what they are doing is unethical or just plain out wrong, they just want to get their pay checks.
Dear Millie, you were most certainly informed of the landlords decision to manage the tenancy themselves. This would not only have been conveyed verbally but also in writing within your check-in pack emailed to you at the commencement of your tenancy. The tenancy agreement also confirmed the landlords contact details as your point of contact throughout your tenancy. I therefore can't comment about any works or issues that were raised during the tenancy as Alexander and Co we not managing the property and therefore not involved or responsible. I find it very difficult to understand how/when we have been unethical/rude in our dealings with yourself in this matter. That said, I would be very happy respond to any specific instances should you wish to raise them directly with me at mark.cruse@alexanderandco.co.uk I feel this review is misdirected, I would therefore urge you to withdraw your review as it does not relate to the actions of Alexander and Co. GoogleOne can never know how well Firm A would have compared with Firms B & C when it comes to any property transaction, especially in relation to the sale price or rent eventually obtained, so one can only go on the general impression conveyed and trust the chosen firm to do their job (which is why one should never be too swayed by the indicative sale price put forward for marketing purposes). I had no prior knowledge of Alexander & Co. but they made all the right noises and I was very happy with the efforts of their sales team in keeping me informed of viewings, etc. Once interest is expressed they have other staff who work solely on the negotiation and progressing aspects of any transaction and this seemed to work smoothly; indeed my overriding impression of Alexander & Co is that they work extremely well as a team and cover for one another as appropriate. No negatives come to mind and they certainly didn’t upset or annoy me, and that in itself is quite an achievement, especially over a period of six months. In the absence of knowing how any other agent would have handled the matter in their stead, I have no hesitation in recommending the Winslow & Buckingham offices.

FacebookIf I could give 0 stars I would. We sold our house through Alexander as a house we wanted was for sale with them so felt it was easier. Everything was fine at the beginning but once it was on the market and we had like 3 viewings, there was no interest in selling it. One person viewed ours and wanted it but had to sell their house still but to Alexander that meant 'someone wants it, let's not bother anymore'. During the pandemic, our house sale fell through yet we didn't find out through our own agents who were Alexander. We had a weekly courtesy call from the estate agents we were buying through but not a peep from Alexander, the estate agents we are paying. When we resold, we complained so suddenly they took an interest for about 5 minutes. When we exchanged contracts and were agreeing move dates, I was doing all the leg work and heard absolutely nothing from Alexander. Since talking with others, I have not heard anyone with one good thing to say about this company. I can't believe I had to pay them nearly £4000 yet the other estate agents helped me and kept in contact with me far more. This is only a snippet of the issues we had so you can only imagine how stressful our move was. An embarrassment of a company, please don't ever waste your time or money.
