The best experience I've had with selling

When I met with Michael I explained my situation of why I needed to sell my house in. short timeframe. Michael and Rebecca were fantastic and we managed to sell and complete within 3-4 months. Their communication was great and updated me on every step pf the journey. It was a really tough time for me personally so having Michael and Rebecca take care of my sale wasn't taken for granted. Great experience and excellent comms

I had a great experience working with the team at Prospect during my recent house purchase. Daniel Simmonds was fantastic early on, showing me the property before it even hit the market and facilitated questions between myself and the seller during the negotiation stage. Once my offer was accepted, Michael Sharp took over and provided excellent communication throughout the process. Sharing renting experience

It was my first time renting a property through Prospect, and the overall experience was acceptable. There were some communication issues with one of the previous property managers, which unfortunately meant we were unable to renew the tenancy at our preferred rate. However, after Nikki Gardner took over, she handled the end‑of‑tenancy process smoothly and professionally. She also assisted me in resolving an issue with OVO Energy mistakenly opening an account in my name, and thanks to her support, we were able to receive our full deposit back without any problems.

Lynne has been amazing

Honestly, if you’re a landlord and you want to manage your own property, your own tenants and your estate agents, then go ahead with prospect. They are the BIGGEST most appalling bunch of clowns out there. Out of a 12 month letting I had 5 months of full rent - the rest were random fees and deductions that they casually forget about and add on, not to mention £600 for carpet cleaning 2 brand new carpets that didn’t need cleaning! No communication, no skill, knowledge or even common sense. Maidenhead branch - horrendous and even the area manager getting involved achieved nothing - would have been better managing the whole thing myself! Utter chaotic clueless clowns. I know that being an estate agent is a career chosen when you’ve no real skill to apply to another career but they take stupid to new heights!

Best in berkshire

One of the best businesses I’ve encountered in the UK. I stayed in a Prospect-managed property in Berkshire and they’ve been incredibly professional throughout the tenancy. This includes check-in management issue reporting and renewal. Even when I requested a rolling contract during the property purchase the agency and landlord communication was spot on. Sophie handled the checkout and was very professional and diligent in communicating. I received my deposit back even before a month, which is unusual in the UK market.

Shocking lack of care, unaddressed safety hazards, and total radio silence

I moved into a property managed by this agency almost 2 months ago, and the experience has been incredibly frustrating. Despite identifying and officially logging multiple high-priority safety and structural issues on their Fixflo system, the agency has gone completely silent and ignored multiple emails and phone calls. We are currently living with a faulty front door lock (a major security risk), unstable sunken internal stairs, a loud water tank defect causing severe sleep deprivation, and black mould. To make matters worse, a contractor sent by the landlord literally drilled holes into a utility door, abandoned the job unfinished, and stopped answering calls. Furthermore, despite a verbal agreement during our viewing that we did not need the landlord's white goods, the agency refused to remove them. They forced us to move them onto the driveway, where they blocked our parking space and were ruined by the rain. Due to the agency's prolonged delays in collecting them, one of the appliances was actually stolen last week (which has been reported to the police). The most frustrating part is that we have tried to be cooperative, even accommodating the landlord’s urgent mortgage surveyor, yet our good faith has been met with total neglect. Because the agency has failed to meet their statutory obligations and basic contractual duties, we have now been forced to escalate this entire matter to The Property Ombudsman and the local Council's Environmental Health Team. Prospective tenants beware: once you sign the contract, your safety and communication no longer seem to be a priority for this team.
