Five years of poor repairs and lack of adequate communication

I have been a tenant managed by Prospect for five years. Last month a plumber sent by Prospect replaced my bathroom taps. The work caused a blockage in the drain and a leak through the kitchen ceiling, and the overflow pipe now runs with water regularly. There has been a hole in my kitchen ceiling for three weeks, and I keep getting excuses instead of dates for the repair. I am told they accepted a quote from a company to the repair but the company actually havent been to property to investigate the issue. I asked to speak to a supervisor and the request was ignored. Contractors came to quote for another repair and I heard nothing for months. When I asked for an update, I was told it wasn't urgent and the repair hadn't been authorised. Nobody had told me. I have also been told repeatedly that my instructions are "on file", and they are not acted on. They only they know how to reach out when its time for a rent increase or its time to book a gas certificate inspection.

We had an excellent experience with Prospect, and in particular with Gracie Greenleaf, who was incredibly kind, professional and efficient throughout our house search. From the moment we requested a viewing online, everything moved very quickly. We enquired about the property in the afternoon, Gracie called us the very next morning, and we were able to view the house that same day, which we really appreciated. Gracie went above and beyond by also showing us another property in the area to give us more options and help us make the best decision for our family. Fantastic experience

Fantastic experience. I have just finished my PhD, and for my new job, I needed a fast relocation from the North. This is, of course, stressful, but thanks to Gracie's efforts, I had some viewings and found a brilliant flat in a very short time. Also, one thing that really stood out to me about them is that they are very transparent and genuinely want to find a good place for you with no strings attached - something that I am not used to after being in the 'student enviroment' for so long! Prospect was excellent throughout the process of buying our home. Max Len was amazing from start to finish. He quickly understood exactly what we were looking for and, after showing us one property that wasn’t quite right, he immediately found the perfect home for us, even better than we had imagined. I first viewed the house with him on my own, and the next day he kindly showed it again to my whole family, always friendly and very helpful. We submitted our offer around 5pm on a Friday, and even after his working hours, Max went above and beyond to speak with the seller and push things forward. Just a few hours later, still on the same evening, he came back to us with the news that our offer had been accepted. His dedication and commitment were outstanding. I also have to mention Anna Jackman , who coordinated the whole process and always kept us fully updated at every stage. I honestly cannot recommend this estate agency highly enough. From the very first viewing right through to completion, the whole team have been absolutely amazing. A special thank you to Max and Cameron, who were fantastic from the beginning, but every member of staff I dealt with was warm, supportive, professional and genuinely lovely. Recently moved and purchased through Prospect. They were brilliant from minute one all the way up to completion. The knowledge they had of the property and surrounding areas was so helpful as we were moving to an area we didnt have much knowledge of. After our offer was accepted Bernadette from sales progression assisted us and genuinely we couldn't have got through the process without her. During the whole process we found it difficult getting answers or sometimes even contact from solicitors but Bernadette was brilliant. She went above and beyond and we are so grateful for everything she did and Prospect as a whole. Would highly recommend and will definitely be using them for all aspects of buying and selling again in the future.
