I recently spotted an advertisement online for a property valuation from Alan Batt and decided to enquire. it gave me a quick computer algorithm and then followed up with the offer of a more personalised valuation if I gave further details and photographs etc. I completed the details and quickly received a text message to let me know someone would get back to me within 24 hours. In no time at all I had been contacted but there was no pushy salesman on the end of the phone. Quite the opposite, I received a nice text asking if I didnt mind them calling sometime to discuss. I agreed and chatted to Alan about my valuation, the current market and things in general. At no point was I pressured and this meant a lot to me. He said he would leave me to think things over and if I was happy he would text again in a few days which he did. I was made up with the valuation and all the details I received as well as the overall service. I decided not to sell on this occasion for my own personal reasons but when I do I would contact Alan Batt in a heartbeat! Can't recommend them enough. Arranged to view a property, saw the property Sunday, questioned the questions/making offer process as the confirmation received for the viewing had just been a text message but no email with contact details. Estate agent showing said just use the email from website or call. We liked the property, went home, spoke about it, wanted to make an offer but had some concerns. Sent an email to estate agent same day, told them we wanted to make an offer but had a concern and requested a second viewing. Monday, estate agent called, an offer below asking price had been made by another buyer but not yet accepted by vendor. Estate agent assumed vendor would accept, so wouldn't give us a second viewing despite me telling her that we have everything in order and could move forwards with no chain. If I was a seller, I would not use them. As a buyer this property was well below our budget, but who would know, the estate agent was only interested in selling ASAP! Not the impression we'd got when researching.

We was very interested in a house we payed the holding deposit. 8 days later we still hadn't heard back so we phoned the credit check company and thay had not even received the forms . We then phoned the alan batt and thay made some story up that thay were just about to contact us . We got are money back after 4 days 3 days later thay are now Letting it . I no thay wouldn't tell us but the really reason we was suitable was because we have kids and dont suit the area in there eyes .

I used Alan Batt to manage the tenancy of my house. I can honestly say, from start to finish it was a stressful and distressing experience. They did not look after my property at all and when I finally got the tenants out, it cost me thousands of pounds to rectify the damage done. Alan batt were so poor, they didn’t even claim the correct amount of money back on the deposit so I only got 200 pounds back. These agents don’t care at all about the properties they are paid to manage. They are in fact a disgrace.

We found Alan batt disappointing trying to sell our house. No good ideas on how to help sell and had lots of no shows for viewings with very little engagement or consideration from staff. Had a viewing last week and they didn't show up, turned out that they had cancelled but didn't think to let us know. Had pictures that could of looked a lot better or freshened up. Oh and they didn't think it would be a good idea to put the fact that we had 2 parking spaces available online, by which we had to remind them to add that information. Poor service and would not recommend

Terrible service with Alan Batt lettings. We had issues with the water in the property which, even though this had been deemed not fit for purpose, wasn't sorted for about a year. We had been raising issues with damp in the property for almost 12 months as well, and nothing was done, which caused me to be quite ill. Even when they were made aware of this, this was still ignored, and still hasn't been completely sorted. They constantly have to be chased to get things done. We ended up just moving out instead.
