Our core values of passion, honesty and expertise are cornerstones in all that we do and we can assure you that our team have followed all the correct policies and procedures when managing your case. A tenancy deposit is paid when a tenant starts renting their home and is returned upon vacation or used to cover unpaid rent or damages caused to the property during a tenancy. When a deposit claim does arise, we always strive to work alongside the tenant to find a fair and reasonable agreement. Where necessary, we’ll employ the expertise of local trades people to assist us in establishing how best to bring a property back to the condition it was found in, as documented in the pre-move in inventory. Deposit claims are processed through our dedicated deposit protection scheme, DPS. Here a tenant can review the case online and choose to accept or dispute the claim. If the claim is accepted by the tenant, the DPS will direct funds automatically within 2 days. Should a tenant choose to dispute the claim, the case will then be referred to the Dispute Resolution Service where an independent adjudicator will make an impartial decision. We understand that this process can be frustrating. However, we’d like to reiterate that our team are dedicated to providing a first-class service that is fair to both our tenants and landlord and ensures that both current and future tenants get to enjoy our homes.
