Your home purchase may be important to you, but it isn't to M&P!

This review relates only to the Streatham Hill branch of Marsh and Parsons, through which I attempted to buy a home in 2025. My experience points to a disorganised and poorly managed estate agency, and I would recommend prospective buyers and sellers avoid M&P and choose from the many other excellent estate agents in the area. The lack of care and transparent communication from M&P has left me without a home for several months and thousands of pounds out of pocket. Junior estate agents seem reluctant to escalate obvious issues to managers, and the branch director, Jonathan Mallet, has made no attempt to provide the most basic level of customer service.

Good Property Manager experience

Had an appointment with the Charlton office, they were late. I called, was told they were parking. Waited more. Nothing until the manager called 40 minutes after the appointment basically stating that they had no phone to call when they did not see the concierge so left. This is very unprofessional and I do not recommend you waste your time if this is their first impression.

Belated review, but we had an excellent experience with M&P Little Venice, especially Paul & Kelvin. We had had a bad experience with another estate agency and switched to M&P because we had been told that they were the best performing agency at our price level in the local area. Paul & Kelvin navigated us through the appalling post-Truss market with authority and empathy, and secured a sale. The buyers were inexperienced and Paul & Kelvin held their hands very well, a job made all the more challenging for them because the buyers’ chosen solicitors were incompetent & slow, threatening the transaction several times. Paul & Kelvin kept the transaction alive when everyone’s patience was stretched thin, and we wouldn’t have completed without their doggedness and determination (and good humour!). Would strongly recommend!

Won’t be using again

I had a really poor experience with M&P. I entered my flat contract on assurances that I later found out were false, found processes that should have taken weeks to take months, and communication was consistently unhelpful. I’m really sorry to say I wouldn’t use them again.
