…A thank you to Richard Hockeridge.
Our tenants have now vacated our property and I wanted to thank our property manager Richard Hockeridge for his excellent work. Richard has been there for us whenever we needed him and dealt with various issues very promptly. He has given us complete peace of mind while letting our property and I am sure he will continue to do so for future lets.

Awful experience with Foxton tenants
The tenants Foxton put forward for the rented property were totally inappropriate and have been terrible tenants for the short lived 6 months of the tenancy.Foxtons was very cagey about the reference and details and when the agreement was drafted, and I was assured they “passed all the checks and reference”. When I had access to further details I understood it was a totally inappropriate match. In an opportunistic turn Foxton scrape the bottom of the available tenants and turned a quick profit at my expenses. Paying late, not having the money leaving the place a mess.

5-star review for Baneen Abbas
5-star review for Baneen Abbas! Baneen was incredibly attentive and helpful when we were looking at options and considerations for the sale of our house. In the end - we didn't end up going with Foxtons (due to unrelated reasons), but despite that, I felt it necessary to share just how amazing Baneen was whilst we took time to formulate our sale decisions. Huge thank you, Baneen!

Ben at the Twickenham
Ben at the Twickenham office was very helpful and took care of us when looking for properties. He really took into consideration our needs and requirements when selecting properties and took the time to show us different places that met our expectations. I would really recommend Ben and Foxtons when looking to buy or sell a property

Season Cheung is our property…
Season Cheung is our property management manager. He is very helpful, efficient and understanding. Recently we want to upgrade our flat, that he helps us to liaison with Westminster Council, and supply the informations of the company, materials etc, we believe that have lots of work load for him. We are very pleased he deals with the issue understandably and quickly.

I've been moving and renting lots of places with lots of different agents and landlords. Foxton is the most smooth one with really great service. Ayanda Koch is my agent, she has been ever so patient with us since we had a lot of requirements and came to look at the property three times at the same location.

Worst estate agent in wembley
Worst estate agent in wembley. I had my viewing book for property and on day agent show up with no key for home, I let that slide. Upon speaking to him, he ensures, that we have been booked for next day with same time. However, on the day of viewing, agent won't even show up. After speaking to the agency, we came know that we never booked for the day and we have to book viewing again.Complete waste of time on two consecutive days, Won't recommend at all.

Fantastic experience
I had a fantastic experience with Foxtons. Despite a challenging market, they secured a buyer for our property within just two weeks of listing. The team was highly organised, professional, and, most importantly, extremely responsive. Everyone I dealt with was friendly and approachable, which gave me real peace of mind throughout the process. When you’re under pressure to sell and move things forward, that level of support and responsiveness makes all the difference. I would highly recommend Foxtons.

I'm grateful for the professionalism…
I'm grateful for the professionalism and care from Foxton's refurbishment division, especially Lauren Manuel and her team. Lauren and her team assessed the situation holistically, avoiding the "contractor quick fix," and stuck with it, solving the many problems that emerged once the project was underway. As a tenant, I appreciated Lauren's team's communication with the contractors, myself, and our landlord, finding the path to a finished project.

At first I thought I had a great and…
At first I thought I had a great and smooth experience with them but on the day I was supposed to move in to the property I was shocked with the lack of communication between the agent and the landlord and the property wasn’t ready at all and I couldn’t move in. The very restrictive rules by the landlord with the lack of trust in my agent(not replying to my messages for 2 days and not answering my phone calls when I had trouble with the landlord ) led me to not proceed with them and gave up on the holding deposit.Very disappointing experience.

Big Error and then Appalling Communication
In January one of the agents offered to extend our tenancy by one day so we had the whole weekend to move out. This was very helpful and so we accepted and received an end of tenancy letter with this new date and the online portal was updated to reflect this.Cut to 16th April, two weeks before the end of our tenancy and through discussion with our landlord we find out that they had not been informed of this extension. We immediately informed Foxtons and asked for their help in solving this as either parties changing plans was going to cost significant money and cause stress. It is now the 28th April, the tenancy ended today and we have not heard a peep out of Foxtons regarding their error or potential solves. We have emailed them multiple times, to multiple different email addresses. I asked an agent for a complaints contact, but he has just supplied me with an address we have emailed multiple times already. Their customer service is appalling. Our landlord has also heard very little from them which is even more shocking as he has two properties let through them. Needless to say he is seriously reconsidering his options. We were able to sort something out with our landlord that involved us both being in the property today, but we never should have had to do that.Landlords and Tenants should avoid Foxtons like the plague if you can.

Avoid Foxtons Short Lets
I would strongly advise against going through Foxtons for short lets.Foxtons’ short let offering claims to check all the boxes, “bring your suitcase and we’ll provide the rest,” “fully furnished to a high standard,” “travel light, all you need to purchase are the consumables,” etc. The agent I worked with to find my flat was also extremely helpful and efficient.Upon arrival, I was very disappointed to find that the property’s condition and level of furnishing were far from ready for move in. The flat lacked many basic items, appliances and fixtures were broken, the mobile broadband was slow and tapped out after two weeks, and the general condition of the flat was poor and not well maintained. In addition to the issues at move in, several substantive maintenance issues arose during my tenancy and the property manager was extremely unresponsive and avoidant. Many of the maintenance issues were never resolved, I ended up having to buy the basic items missing from the flat out of pocket, and I never got working internet. The antics continued during move out. Foxtons included professional cleaning as a required check out task, costing £350. The check-out report included multiple incorrect or misleading claims about damage to the flat and missing items that the landlord used to file unfounded claims for full deduction of my security deposit, which I had to take through a formal dispute process to have returned.Friends who also had a short let through Foxtons had the same experience, so I know this was not an isolated issue. It’s clear that at least the short-let strategy at Foxtons is to misrepresent properties to get tenant locked in, then underdeliver, evade, and claw back as much money as possible at the end. If you rent with Foxtons, please be wary of these tactics before you sign a lease.

Sellers avoid using Foxton's to sell your property
As a buyer I've tried to view a number of properties with Foxtons, I've had 2 viewings but tried to have numerous other viewings, and the agent's behaviour is poor. Not sending you the address or sending you the wrong address. Not knowing answers to my questions as a buyer about service charges and ground rents. Trying to force me to see properties that clearly don't fit my needs. Overall it's just poor communication and service, as a seller avoid Foxton's, you want an estate agent that will be polite to your buyers and provide answers to their questions, if you have a property with them and it isn't selling it's a combination of overvaluation and poor customer service with buyers.

Honestly the worst company you could ever rent with.
This is the first time I've ever given a one star rating for anything, so the experience has to be pretty horrible for me to give one. We've been renting with Foxtons since they took over Douglas & Gordons, who were pretty decent. Foxtons are not pretty decent. Let me take you on a journey of just a few of the issues we've had since they took over. When the pipe taking toilet waste into the sewage burst, it was obviously a bit of an emergency. Especially when we shared that pipe with the flat upstairs. We immediately told Foxtons about it through their preferred method. In the meantime, human excrement dripped down onto the house, window, and floor. The smell was what you'd imagine it to be. They didn't respond. So I reached out again. This time through their preferred method, through email, and through a phone call. They said they'd get someone out and get back to me when they had someone. A few days later - nothing. Ghosted. Ouch. This story goes on like this. A back and forth, but basically just us trying to get them to fix something super gross with no response. It took a month for them to fix the problem. A month of human waste dripping onto the window of my office. It only got fixed when I fully yelled at them on the phone, which is really really not in my nature. Not enough for a one star review you say? How about the basement flooding up to our ankles. It's not their fault the basement flooded, but the fixing of it has still yet to happen. After a month of pestering them to send someone without response, they finally responded and sent someone round to take a look. Then they ghosted us. When we brought it back up, we were asked to create a new issue. That issue has remained open ever since. Meanwhile I've developed asthma from the mould. Still not enough? How about the electricity in the kitchen going out. That meant no cooking, no washing our clothes, and no light in what's essentially half of our flat. One guess for how long it took them to sort it out. You got it! One month. How many times did we pester them for a fix? Honestly, I don't know, but it was a lotttttttttt. What's that? You still think it's not enough for a one star review? How about the washing machine dying on us. It's a cheap washing machine. We rent so we have to expect the landlord to give us something rubbish. That's fine. But when it breaks, it's up to Foxtons to get it sorted. Well you'll never guess how long it's taken so far? No way! What a guess! You're right, it has been a month. To their credit, we did receive a new washing machine recently (that we had to order and pay for), but they wouldn't let us have the company remove the old washing machine. So that new washing machine is just chilling in the hallway taunting us every time we heave another load of washing to the laundrette.Honestly, I could go on with a few other stories. It's not even really the fault of the staff. I think they just have so many clients that they can't keep up with it. Anyway, if you can help it, don't rent with foxtons. They're absolute garbage.

I rang Foxtons to get help in finding a flat. I was lucky enough to get Victoria Mowforth and she was courteous and helpful. She listened to my requirements and suggested a couple of places which I could afford and she was very knowledgeable about the areas. I would strongly recommend Foxtons to anyone searching for accommodation and needing expert guidance.

Exceptional Service - Season Cheung
Season is the most responsible and professional agent I have come across. He handled my very unusual case diligently, always with very careful considerations and great suggestions. He is also very patient. He took the initiative to liaise between many different parties to ease my concerns. He is also very good at problem solving. The service Season provided was exceptional, I would recommend him to everyone.

Avoid ..you have been warned
Over a 3 year tenancy paying £4K pm Foxtons repeatedly ignored serious maintenance issues with tree branches scraping the roof and gutters broken and overflowing. Ordinary maintenance issues always required two visits from their chosen artisan …poor landlord paying for both of course . After 2 years and 11 months they finally registered our deposit ! Booked an exit clean on Foxtons own site at £650 and paid by credit card inc vat …and now Foxtons are showing an invoice on their website booked by their agent for £854. Got all the evidence date and time stamped. Bet they play games with the deposit. You are gamed . If Foxtons are the agent then avoid the house . Simple as that

Despicable company
Despicable company They provide no protections to letters or tenants, only care about themselves. They recommended and endorsed a tenant told me to lock in a 2 year contract, Tenant did a runner after 8 months and then Foxtons took their deposit to pay for commission fees for the 2nd year of the contract Foxtons took 2 years worth of fees for 8 months of rent, Trust me better off going with openrent or smaller companies

Jessica James
Jessica James was extremely reliable and helpful with every enquiry and concern within our 6 month lease. As a student living abroad, I felt extremely supported during my stay. Jessica was only ever an email away, which made for easy communication! As an employee of Foxtons, she was so kind and understanding. It was a great experience overall.
