GoogleI rang and asked to view a property after pleasant man left a voice mail from my enquiry saying he needed some more details and he would get me booked in to view. When I rang I was put through to a woman. She straight away asked if my house was sold and I started my house is on the market and we have offers but that we didn’t want to accept until we had viewed some property’s. I was told that I could not view until I had ‘accepted an offer’. I was also asked if I was a mortgage buyer which I said yes and was asked if I had a mortgage in principle. I stated that I had been to see a mortgage broker and know what I could afford and the woman on the phone who was particularly rude throughout the phone call said I needed to have a mortgage in principle prior to offer and before I viewed housing with Martin and Co. After discussions from my helpful mortgage advisor, he has told me that I do not need to discuss my finances prior to viewing a property or making an offer. It is totally unacceptable to be asked to show my financial position and personal details before I view a property. If anything this is a terrible way to sell properties as they have now lost a potential customer for their sellers. There was 3 houses I would have like to view but after being treated with hostility and made to feel like she didn’t believe I could afford the property I would not go near Martin & Co again. The property I asked to view has been on right move for over a month and they still turned down a potential viewing. I sold my house 24 hours later they lost a potential customer and made someone feel belittled on the phone. I suggest not selling your house with Martin and Co as they obviously do not do everything in their power to sell your house, they definitely do their sellers a disservice.NegativeProfessionalism

The office should have made you aware that we are having to adhere to some very strict government guidelines, so that buyers are in a proceedable position and financially ready to proceed due to the ongoing covid 19 pandemic and encourage buyers to view online video viewings. We had the pleasure of dealing with Kieran throughout the process. I felt from the get-go that me and Kieran would get on well, and every conversation was a positive and helpful interaction. When looking for updates on how things were proceeding, Kieran was always easy to reach and get hold of, was always very accommodating and always gave an update after he had chased the relevant party, regardless of whether it was a major update or not much to report, we heard back. This meant that we didn’t feel too in the dark on how things were proceeding, as anyone will know this can feel the way from time to time. Overall dealing with Kieran was a very positive experience, and one I would recommend to anyone after a good and helpful estate agent.Josh and Chloe

GoogleIf you have a family don't use this company. They have no respect for parents, spend the whole day parked in child and baby spaces despite knowing there is a stay and play cafe nextdoor and therefore those spaces are needed and used by parents all day every day. There is plenty of other parking available.

GoogleIn the process of selling our house at the moment, and so far we have been very impressed with the professionalism and level of contact from the team in Westbury. Louisa did an amazing job of producing the advert and brochure for the house, and from photos to uploading to their website and Rightmove it took less than one working day. We are so pleased with the speed and professionalism in which she acted. Our initial contact with M&C through Lewis was extremely positive - he too was professional and prompt with his emails and getting us booked in for the photos. My fiancé met with him to value the house and noted that he was very friendly and provided lots of really helpful information. We’ve now just had contact with Kieran, one of their sales negotiators, who outlined the process to come for our sale thoroughly. So far, extremely happy with M&C’s service, and we feel much more at ease and positive about what is typically a pretty stressful time! UPDATE (Aug 2024): Having now completed our house sale with Martin & Co, my review still stands and then some. Kim worked tirelessly for us and our buyer through what was an extremely stressful move. She was amazing at keeping in touch, chasing up pesky solicitors, and doing everything she could to get the damn thing over the line. Compared to the service we got with our onward purchase, it was night and day.
