I used Winkworth lettings to manage renting out my property for me whilst I was abroad for a few months and, on the whole, they were pretty good. They managed to find a tenant for my property very quickly and made the set-up of the tenancy agreement etc. a breeze. And they were very helpful at the end of the tenancy, which wasn’t straightforward due to having to claim costs for damage from the tenant’s deposit. Katy, the lettings manager, in particular should be commended for her knowledge and efficiency throughout the process, we got the right result in the end and I’m certain this wouldn’t have happened without her help. Unfortunately, there were a couple of occasions where emails weren’t followed up and they had to be reminded to forward on a rent payment to me one month, hence I can only give them four stars. But in general, a positive experience, and I would likely use their lettings services again.

Katy and Alex have managed our letting very efficiently over the course of the last year and they invariably answer any questions we have promptly. They did a really good job during the lockdown when the previous tenancy ended prematurely and we needed to re-let. They acted in difficult circumstances to find a new tenant & organise the physical changeover. As a result of their efforts, the new tenant was able to move in quickly resulting in a very short period between lettings. We would recommend their level of service and professionalism.

Really, on the whole, ive had plenty of negative experiences with estate agencies to the point I see it more as a necessary speed bump - but I have to admit, dealing with Winkworth has made it feel more like a service. I had the absoloute pleasure of dealing with Christine; from the start Christine provided an relaxed atmosphere, she was/is incredibly friendly and was alot of fun to chat to when signing paperwork - the transaction still felt professional but at the same time it felt personable, which can be a difficult balance to get right, but Christine totally smashed it. A few weeks into the tenancy issues have been dealt with urgency and respect and i feel comfortable letting from Winkworth.

Puirplebricks or Winkworth We decided to use Purplebricks as our reasoning went ,everyone just uses rightmove and the flat will sell itself. WRONG You will be sold the package with the wonderful positive promises of it being the way forward with it's interactive support etc,you will tend not to get much push back re your expectations as the upfront fee when paid is already in the bank so after time with no result, your expectations and a more rational analysis of the market etc can be presented to you with your fee already secured. My assessment in today's difficult market is that this model for us was a complete waste of money with no interest shown,and just the odd pep talk from our Purple bricks rep to keep our chin up. We then swallowed the fact that our fee to this company was wasted money and moved on to Winkworth a high st agent,who appeared to have a much more rational view of the market,and had more streams of marketing that produced far more viewings and a subsequent sale in good time. Moral of story...When properties are selling themselves by just appearing on rightmove then this and the many other internet sites may be the way forward, otherwise you get what you pay for. (I have no axe to grind or relative / friend working in this field I just hope this helps others avoid some of my frustrations during this process)

I have purchased and let several properties over the years with the Westbourne team. Ben and his whole team are extremely friendly, personable, trustworthy and reliable. Their knowledge of the local area is second to none and they have always gone the "extra mile" to provide the best tenants and solutions to problems. We have used Winkworth to manage our properties for several years now, the staff are friendly and helpful and generally do a pretty good job. We get regular repots on the condition of the properties, and on the few occasions that we have needed new tenants, they have found them within a few days. One thing that is a bit annoying is that they have recently changed to a new accounting system which in certain circumstances mean that any bills against one property are mixed up with an invoice for another, which makes our accounting more difficult.

Great to see a local estate agent offering help and advice with no ulterior motive. Spoke at long length with Alex about a property I'm looking to sell in the future - he offered detailed, impartial advice that has really helped and didn't insist on committing me to anything.
