Fantastic experience!

Really pleased with Tom's service as a newbie first time buyer like me. He has been professional, efficient and very accommodating throughout the process. Viewing booked same day of initiation call, offer accepted within two hours of viewing, memorandum of sale 24 hours after acceptance of offer and 3 further viewings organised/ accommodated between offer acceptance and completion with no hesitancy even though he had a broken collar bone. Special mention to Esta too who went out of her way to keep the process moving and completed well within the stamp duty relief deadline! Thank you Tom and Esta, I'll definitely be recommending your services to my friends and family!

discriminates against DSS tenant…

discriminates against DSS tenant seekers which could mean a number of situations someone is working and part universal credit because of a disability or a child for instance, doesn't matter if you have an excellent rental history or moderate income under 50k, they will just say just say the DSS income is insufficient to cover your rent even when it meets the LHA allowance. They wont bother to do any further maths baring in mind that the main tenant who is working is pay the majority share of the rent, their snobbery and discrimination is a major contribution to the housing crisis, I really think Estate agents need to be made to have a duty of care as they deal with a lot of vulnerable people and just sometimes not able to cope with the home seekers or have any empathy, hope the RRB will cover that aspect of housing

Enquired a few properties in London and…

Enquired a few properties in London and denied viewing straight away soon as I said my wife is claiming U.C at the moment as she is looking after our baby. Didn't even do an affordability check and straight away told me that landlord don't accept tenants who is claiming U.C.We've been paying for the last 2 years the same amount as the property they advertised and yet no chance has been given just because one of us is claiming U.C.

Winkworths Kingsbury

I have dealt with Winkworths Kingsbury for several years now and found their service uniformly superb. Ajay Bathija, its head, has done much more than what a real estate agent is required to do, advising me on the best investments or solutions to any problems. His team has been trained well by him and reflect the excellent ethos of the company. Currently Ajay is assisting me in a commercial property matter and is being the motive force for getting all other stakeholders to get a move on and not to waste time and (my) money. I would recommend Winkworths Kingsbury and Ajay for any property matter unreservedly.

This company has automated viewing booking system from its website. They have the earliest time set as 9 in the morning and the opening time shown on their website is from 9 am as well. However, when I drop by for the viewing, there was nobody, and the auto message from their contact says they'd open from 9:30 only.

Terrible for renters in Reading

Family of 4, boiler not working. They are the property managment the landlord selected. Called on Saturday morning, they wasted our time with information downloaded from the Internet I looked up myself too. Eventually they claimed I had no gas when I mentioned the hobs were working. So they decided to call on Monday to see if they could send someone to take a look. It was forecasted to be -5 degress during the night and it was like that. I had to call myself an emergency service, pay it, and of course it wasn't the gas. Totally careless people as humans and business. Cannot say as a landlord but if you are renting best to stay away from them. Reading office

Angela and her team are AMAZING

Angela and her team are AMAZING! She secured a very quick sale for my house achieving a good amount above the asking price and helped me secure my purchase under the asking price. But where they really really shine is the personal service ironing out the ‘impossible’ scenarios. I was going through a tricky personal time with my Mum in hospital when a neighbour started misbehaving about a nasty notifiable weed which looked as if it would completely scupper the sale, she stepped in with advice, support and telephone numbers.They offer a polite, honest efficient service, so helpful and I contact as a friend as well as a BRILLIANT Estate Agent.No hesitation to recommend.

AVOID NOTTING HILL BRANCH IF YOU ARE A RENTER!! This agency will priorities profit from a commission on a 2500 flat than morals and basic human respect. I have been verbally abused, a neighbour attempted to force entry into my flat and physically assault me and my partner has been called a bastard and numerous racist remarks made to him and all they care about is a sad little one bed flat. I have police reports and video evidence of this which they cannot deny. I rented a property on Newton Road as a single woman and the building had the most anti social and dangerous neighbours I have ever come across! The landlord knows about their behaviour as she rented the flat out for many years. I’ve been shouted at by the man on the second floor and had an attempted physical assault by the men on the first floor and constant abuse throughout my stay! The landlord did not apologies until the agency told her so they could save face! They could come and say I could’ve left but is the landlord willing to bear the costs and the time I have to spend viewing flats and costs of transporting my belongings that are already in the 3rd floor of the building with no lift? Prioritising money and landlord over tenant safety is extremely low as they went ahead and still marketed it again. The property is a one bed, below average and they are treating it like it’s the most precious castle while treating tenants like peasants! Been living in London for over 5 years and never in my life been so disappointed by an agency and landlord! Really atrocious behaviour by the rental management team.They also have no idea what is in the apartment contacting me to ask if its furnished or not to market it like its not the lazy landlord’s job! They have no manners or respect bombarding me with messages for viewings when I have clearly stated I am with my mother and I cannot accommodate more viewings! I was living there for 6 months with a gas leak which I did not make too much fuss about because I had great landlords before who deserved the benefit of the doubt! This landlord however would ignore my messages requesting a fan for the oven hub! How cheap and pathetic. On top of all of this it took them 3 weeks to release my deposit, first the landlord wanted to take too much money then it was passed as an “innocent mistake of miscalculation” then they want to put in the deposit release that it is “required” of me to share proof that I’ve informed the suppliers of moving out and proof of that all of my council tax is paid what an absolute joke! They did not clarify admit that they legally cannot request such things until I have confronted them that I know I am not legally required to give them anything. The lettings manager and the landlord are such disgusting human beings for being two women okay with this insanity, all for a sad little commission from 2500 a month flat if your morals and manners are that low and cheap don’t work at an estate agency there are better fitting industries for you to thrive in.

Henry Synge and his team in RBKC were a pleasure to deal with. They acted in a professional and polite manner and I had a realistic offer accepted after a few weeks of negotiations.The vendor was maladroit and unrefined; yet Henry still maintained excellent communications with the different parties involved and he managed to get the contracts done. Finally, as a foreign buyer, caveat emptor applies in RBKC. It's nowhere near as nice as LA- Beverly Hills or NY-Upper East Side (yet the prices in RBKC are higher per sq ft). It's a very complicated area and in my honest opinion, there are only a handful of garden squares or roads that are worth it.

Thomas Syms saved my purchase

Agreed purchase at a price we were really happy with but mortgage market going crazy caused us huge delays with our mortgage. The vendor previously listed dual agent and the other agent kept following up, despite being under offer, and us doing all we can to proceed as fast as possible. Without Thomas’ great levels of communication we could have lost the sale, very grateful for his assistance and will stay in touch with him long term.

I would not recommend this renting

I would not recommend this renting agency to anyone. My experience has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. They are charging outrageous amounts for rent, far more than the property is worth, and they have been completely unresponsive when I’ve tried to get clarity on why the costs are so high.On top of that, they’ve held my full deposit without any valid explanation and refused to communicate properly. Getting in touch with them is almost impossible, and they never arrange meetings with the landlord, even when it's necessary. Overall, this agency is unprofessional, overcharges, and lacks basic customer service. Avoid at all costs!
