My wife and I recently purchased a property in Norfolk through Sowerbys. Despite all the issues with Covid, we were kept fully informed and were extremely well looked after by Joanna who worked with laudable tenacity to get things over the line. Joanna has a work ethic like we have not experienced before with Estate Agents, and is cognicent of all sensitivities and concerns of both parties, and manages them well to achieve desired outcomes. This included working evenings and days off to enable us to achieve our goal, which has inspired us to decide to use Sowerbys when we need an agent in the future. Keep up the fantastic work and thank you so much for helping us realise our dream.

Looking to sell my home and have contacted Sowerbys (using their online forms) 3 times in the last 2 weeks. Not a single response/follow-up call to any of them! Likewise when I was looking to buy last year, I called the Watton office about viewing a property, and never received a call back. Doesn’t give confidence from a buying or selling perspective!

Misrepresentation at its worst

We were advised by one of their negotiators to view a house which was 200 miles + from where we live on the understanding that it had architectural merit and charm. At no point during our two phone conversations did the Sowerbys representative mention the words “might benefit from some updating” when the actual sad truth was that the house needed 200k spending on it with, potentially, no positive results at the end of the renovation. I know that estate agents tend to see every property through rose tinted glasses but in this case they would have needed to convince Stevie Wonder that the property had any potential. They are refusing the refund us the cost of our trip as they feel “clients who saw the house had a positive experience”. This statement does not seem to gel with the fact the house has now been on the market three times in the last four years and has still failed to sell. Sow’s ear and silk purse come to mind.

Branch arranged viewings for a rental property in griston after telling us we couldn’t not make an application without viewing we where told that the only viewing where going to take place into 27 August 2024 due to the tenants not allowing viewing until then The have now let agreed with out letting us know that or bothering to cancel our appointment.
