Review for Claire

We were having a hard time finding a property, specially because we were in another city and searching from another. Then we met with Leef Property and Claire. Claire is such a friendly person who made our process super easy. Even afterwards she has been so cooperative.

Ella from Leef Property Management has been really helpful from the start of mine and my partners applications. Any questions we had, she got back to us straight away. The application process was easy and straightforward, Ella was always checking in to offer support if we needed any. Thanks again Ella Twiss

My viewing with Sarah was so pleasant

My viewing with Sarah was so pleasant. She was so lovely and patient with me. She readily gave me answers to my questions. She showed me options, which put me at ease about my frustration with the house search. I am glad to have the viewing with Sarah.

Working closely with Ella across our portfolio of properties, she has been a pleasure to deal with, helping us re-negotiate improved Rental terms and agreements, source and manage contractors for various fixes, and liaise with local agents for up-to-date valuations. We've used Leef's services for several years now and Ella has definitely been our most active and on-the-ball point of contact to date.

Renting with Leef so far has been good thanks to Ellie at All Six House. The process before moving in was made more complicated than it needed to be and communication wasn’t great at all. But since moving in Ellie has made everything much easier.

A special mention to Claire who has been on hand to answer all my questions and guide me through the process to date, supremely knowledgeable and approachable. Thank you for a great service.

Read the reviews they really do help. At first they are very nice as soon as you have moved in that’s when the problems occur. Boiler leaking 1 year in to tenancy no repair or replacement. Ceilings cracking. Bath leaking. They don’t want to …

Leef Properties has taken care of my apartment for nearly 5 years. Since I am not located at Manchester, they help me to manage nearly everything. I esp. thank Vikki, Jessica, Kelly and the team during the change of the tenants in September. They are very efficient and very helpful. I am so at ease with their help!

DO NOT RENT FROM LEEF!!!! If I was able to rate one star I would, this property management company is the worst by far. They really do only care about money, they sold us a dream during covid for luxury accommodation. It was far from luxury, we had no hot water for three months and was living in a damp mould infested property. Which has lead to illnesses and surgery. They was unhelpful to say the least there was no discount to our rent offered for our disgusting state of living. It is now becoming impossible to get our deposit back, there is no communication and it is a struggle to get any information from them. Our complaint has been ongoing for over 12 months now.

Hi Madeline, many thanks for your review. We can see that the images you uploaded are from the attic space in the communal area of the building following a roof leak, this was being resolved by the block management company. As explained, we do not look after the communal areas of the building. We are sorry to hear of your dissatisfaction with your flat, the property was brand new and we would not expect issues with the water system. We were aware the hot water was intermittent, this was covered within the developers warranty and they dealt with the issue directly to have resolved. We are aware the property was left as expected and the full deposit funds were returned. We wish you all the best with your next move.

Worst experience ever. These people are a joke. They chase you like a dog at first then when you pay the deposit then they start to ignore you. BTW these people don't have an office. They only respond to emails and no one oaswers the phone because they don't have an office. I went myself to the warrington business park office and people there said that Leef property has vacated 2 weeks ago. Someone called Kelly , I dealt with. Insensitive and unconsiderate . After reading recent reviews , I thank god that I didn't rent from these jokes.

If I could give 0 stars or -5 stars I would. Please please listen to the real reviews and DO NOT rent with this company. It is not worth it at all. They do not care about their properties or tenants and are just trying to squeeze every penny out of people. I absolutely hate leaving negative reviews and I don’t think I ever actually have in my whole life but quite honestly a nursery of 2 year olds could take over the office and do a better job. I think one brain cell is shared amongst all of the employees. No organisational skills at all. We lived in our flat for around 2 years. It was a rushed and desperate last minute find due to Covid. First of all, leef gave the landlord my phone number where he texted me to tell me he was selling the property. This is actually illegal and breaks data protection. I should’ve been informed first and given consent. Other than this, we didn’t really have any issues during our tenancy. Until we moved out… We were told the wrong paint colour of the walls by an employee. Leef are now trying to charge us £700 to re paint the walls and clean the flat. We didn’t leave it in the tidiest of conditions I will admit, but actually it was filthy when we moved in which they have obviously ignored the inventory. For this reason I am in the process of seeking advice from citizens advice. They are scammers and thief’s pretending to be a business quite frankly. I have rented before and always got my full deposit back. I really do fail to say how a lick of paint and a hoover round has cost £700. I am surprised they are even still an operating business with the amount of people they have done this too. Just hoping I can get some of my money back.

Hi Jordan, many thanks for your review. The landlord is provided your details on the AST which was signed by you prior to it being sent to the landlord. We can see that you disputed the deposit through the DPS which you are entitled to do so. The DPS awarded the full deposit return to the landlord on the basis that there were costs incurred due to the condition you left the property. The DPS is an independent scheme that make their decision based on evidence provided. We hope this clears the process for you, we wish you all the best with your next move.

A very unprofessional letting agency. Unable to get through via phone despite waiting for hours. Equally, no reply to emails. They deduced an extra amount on vacating the property for old damage which was apparent on the initial inventory. Took an extra amount from the last month's tenancy (stayed only for a few days) with no response after 1 month of sending an enquiry. Update to my review - disputed the money claimed from the deposit and got it back through the dispute procedure. Still no response with regards to the extra money deducted from the last months rent

Mohamed · 21 June 2023

Agent replied · 20 June 2024

Hi Mohamed, many thanks for your review. Apologies that you have had difficulties getting through to us. We will only make deductions from deposits for costs incurred outside of fair wear and tear, this can also be disputed through the DPS should you not be satisfied with the outcome. Our the tenancy agreements do state that 1 months notice must be provided, if you do then stay over this date another full months rent would be charged unless agreed otherwise by our clients. We wish you all the best with your next move !

Rude awful staff, don’t care about their tenants one bit. Everyone in their office needs some serious customer service training. I actually rented with them a few years back now but was bribed by someone high up in the company to take my bad review down at the time. Just popped into my head to look at reviews and see if he’d taken any of my comments on board, but looking at the awful reviews its clearly gotten worse (I didn’t think that possible). So wanted to put my negative review back up as I should have left it year ago. DO NOT RENT WITH THIS COMPANY.

Please listen to all the bad reviews! The most unprofessional, amateur, rude, unorganised company I have ever been unfortunate enough to have to deal with. From reading all the numerous terrible reviews on different sites online I feel for anyone who has to deal with them. Unfortunately, I did not have a choice as they took over as managing agents of my previous property, and seeing the amount of people who have suffered because of them, I would have stayed well away. Zero stars is not an option as they don't deserve any. They do not answer the phones, and completely ignore your emails unless they want something from you, and when they do email they send rude, unprofessional, dishonest emails. They don't care about tenants, I could list the endless failures in this joke of an organisation but I would be here all day and I've already wasted enough time on this disgraceful company. They really don't understand how the absolutely pathetic, diabolical service they provide can have such a negative effect on people. There are lots of great management companies out there, this by far the absolute worst. Avoid at all costs!

This is the most unprofessional letting agency that I have come across in all of my accommodation searches. We went for a viewing and really liked the property. We contacted them and expressed interest in renting it. Haven't heard anything from them after that. I understand that they might have received better offer and have decided to go with that. But as a client we expect a minimum decency of letting us know the outcome of the application. We have sent multiple mails and messages, and calls as well. Never heard back from them. Wouldn't suggest it to anyone.

Hi Ragin, we are sorry to hear of your dissatisfaction and experience with our company. We can see that an application was submitted prior to yours being received. Our process is to respond with a closing email to any applicants that have missed out, this should have been received and we send our apologies if it was not. We hope you have found your next home and are now settled.

I had a terrible experience with Leef. I should have known from when my move in date was stalling, the flat at Meridian House I rented had some issues and it was so close to the sewage covering that the entire floor was filled with foul smell, for most of my stay there I kept complaining of the sewage leakage, there was power outage for months, window leakage(whenever it rained I had to keep cleaning the window area), moulds everywhere despite my cleaning and numerous other issues. Leef was not bothered about my welfare despite complaints through mail, no empathy whatsoever . They never respond to calls. One time someone picked, the lady was very rude and dismissive.Unfortunately I had to part with a huge chunk of rent.from my experience they are definitely not a good company to deal with, terrible experience and I won’t recommend .

Georgina · 21 June 2023

Agent replied · 20 June 2024

Hi Georgina - many thanks for your review. The issues you have reported are those taken care of by the block management company, not Leef as your letting agent. The owners of the building are currently going down the RTM route to overturn the block management as they are also not happy with the way this is being run, but unfortunately this is out of our hands. We hope this explains things clearly for you.

I have had the worst experience of my life with Leef property management. It started way before I even started my tenancy contract, should’ve seen the red flags from the beginning. They told me I could move in on a certain date, and made me wait 2 weeks after that date during which period I was homeless, I had to stay with my friends. Every time I tried calling them, the agents were extremely rude and hung up on me most times and never returned any of my calls. The elevators were broken for a whole year, they did nothing about this, and did not respond to the emails I sent. Any time I had any issues I could never reach them. Finally when I decided to get out of that horrible place, I tried calling them and emailing them several times, so I could end my contract. No response again. I would send emails and calls every single day just so I could get someone to help me figure out how to end the tenancy. When they finally got back to me, it was too late and they are now expecting me to pay the rent for another month when I’m not even going to be living in the property. I’ve never had to go through such horrible service with any other agents.

Nayna · 21 June 2023

Agent replied · 20 June 2024

Hi Nayna - many thanks for your review. Move in dates can sometimes vary due to tenant extensions or proposed re-let works, however we do always endeavour to secure the move at the soonest possible time for both you and our client. Unfortunately we do not manage the communal areas which the lift would fall under, this would be the block management company as explained. All information about notice terms on vacating are clearly outlined in our terms and contract, your notice email was received after the contract date which meant you having to accept liability for the additional month. Hopefully all of the above is clear and we wish you well with your next tenancy.

I was shown around the property by Claire. Claire was very friendly at first sight and messaged me to know exactly what side of the building to meet with her, she was on time and a pleasant woman. Claire was professional and was willing to answer my questions and she explained to me everything I needed to know so I definitely recommend this agency.
