So easy and so fast acting to get me and my friend sorted for hopefully new place to live. Claire who looked after us and shown us around, had all the answers we needed answered and couldn't of been easier for us as we felt the right fit and straight away helped us with the application process.

As a guarantor, I can vouch that Leef Properties are an honourable company. Having been a guarantor for a family member until they built up some credit history, I was pleasantly surprised when I recently enquired about being removed, which Emily Lord facilitated promptly - she was clear and concise and followed up as promised. This experience has given me faith that there are some genuine letting agents out there!

Renting with Leef has been an incredibly easy and smooth experience from the move in date. Apartments are spotless upon moving in and help is always quick when it is needed. I’d like to mention Ellie from all six house for her fast and great help throughout our stay so far.

Claire helped me settle into my apartment very quickly. She gave me all the information I needed and answered any questions I had. I feel reassured that Claire is based on site and is there when we need her, couldn't praise her enough.

I had an excellent experience working with Charlotte Thorpe. She provided outstanding service during the coordination and renewal of my tenants' contract, responding quickly and offering valuable recommendations throughout the process. Her professionalism and efficiency made everything seamless, and I highly recommend her assistance!

Very bad response for urgent works also. I have complained about nonfunctional boiler at our flat in Martin's Mill Halifax ((UK). I have small school going kid at home so hot water is our necessity. Due to COVID situation they are responding only for urgent issues and boiler issue is one of them. Since last one week we are struggling. Their plumber and electrician came and unwired everything after that no response. Neighter Leef properties responding to our mail nor accepting call. This is a severe health and safety issue for family and specially my kid as his school life is compromised due to daily struggle to complete his morning chores without hot water. Pathetic worst service.NegativeProfessionalism

Emailed regarding a house advertised on Rightmove the day it was added to the site, attempted to make everyone's life easier by offering to take the property on an online viewing basis, was told, via a generic copy and paste email, it was not available for viewings yet. Emailed back to advise I didn't need a viewing, no response. Called the office to be greeted by an employee who sounded like she couldn't be bothered and just wanted to be off the phone who said it wasn't available for viewings and to email. Emailed again to follow up, to be told that the property was not available for viewings, but as soon as it was I would be informed. Received another email today offering me a different property, (this turned out to be the exact property I'd enquired about, but they'd got the wrong address). I then advised, once it had been clarified that it was the correct property, that I was happy to proceed, only to then receive another email to tell me that they had now taken a deposit from someone else. Completely unprofessional service, poor communication, promises not kept, staff who couldn't care less, avoid like the plague.

Worst Letting Agents I have ever worked with. Absolutely zero support throughout the tenancy. They are extremely slow, unprofessional and have the tendency to keep part of your deposit for no reason. I got held up a certain amount from my deposit because the property that I left was “untidy” even though I’ve spent a lot of time cleaning and making sure it was in the same state as I found it when I firstly moved in and they still decided to charge me for “additional cleaning”. I decided not to bother any further as I just wanted, if not all, at least some of the money from my deposit refunded and get this thing done with fast, so I accepted the circumstances.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

I lived in my property for 4 years paying rent in advance and being told I was keeping my property in excellent condition when they came for inspection. However I would recommend that everyone steer clear of these guys because: 1. I asked to renew my contract in March 2020 and chased numerous times with no progress or communication. 2. When it came to giving notice on my property I knew I had been paying 2 weeks in advance. It took me over 20 email exchanges and having to get them to send me my accounts so I could explain to them more simply how to see I was paying 2 weeks in advance. This was finally acknowledged and agreed but with an extremely rude email and with no apology. 3. I have been told I HAVE to keep the property until the 26th December but that they need me to be available on the 28th (2 days after I have moved) which is a bank holiday and I am away with the family. I have advised I am not available and away so I can leave the keys in the property. The exact word for word text response I got was "You cannot leave the keys you need to meet us to hand the keys back to us ". I would strongly recommend some customer service training.

I will just add the complaint I've made against them - the worst company there is, steer clear of them. Hello, I am writing to complain about the service we have received from your company regarding the issues we have faced during our tenancy with you. First of all, one of the windows in our apartment is not closing properly making the property unsafe. We have contacted you about this numerous times, the first call being on the 4th of April, which means for over a month nobody has managed to come and fix an emergency - totally unacceptable. Secondly, this morning we were flooded by the apartment above and all you told us is you called the building manager and left a message, but you did not do anything to help us mitigate the issue - the ceiling is all wet, wouldn't suprise me to see it falling apart. We can also not work as we've been told to switch the electricity off altogether, which means my wife is not being paid for today - exactly what we needed. On top of all this, the staff we were on a call with all tried to hush us and get rid of us, promising us callbacks that never came. The manager, Samantha Harmer, started yelling at us saying that we don't let her speak while doing exactly that. While I don't deny that fact that we were quite angry, I didn't find it appropriate at all and it shows a total lack of respect - you are supposed to support us, not yepl back at us and not let us speak. We are paying our rent on time all the time, never had any complaints against us and always taken care of our properties,- we've been renting with Leef for more than 2 years, though I certainly don't think will continue after this. Also, we have only received an update on our issue saying that a contractor has been appointed for the window issue today, after more than a month, which means that the previous information about a contractor being appointed but not calling us means that that have been all lies. We also don't have access to the Landlord's details to be able to let them know about the state of their property. When we've asked about the details they've told us they don't have time for that now and that they will send them in 20 days

Please please listen to the bad reviews. Absolutely terrible company. They literally care about nothing. The flat was full of black mould that had obviously been painted over again and again. It appeared within weeks of moving in. In my bed. On my clothes. I was rushed into hospital with black mould in my lungs. And they couldn't care less. Got mould? That's your fault, apparently. Use the extractor fan, keep the windows open all day every day when it's snowing. Mould on the ceiling. On the walls. In the bathroom. All walls damp to the touch with water actually running down them? Your fault. Friends are sick after visiting? Don't have friends round. Homeless druggies living in the foyer smashing up the place? That's your fault as well. That's when you can actually get an answer from any of them.... Also they will come to you flat unannounced when you are OUT! ALL THE TIME. Look through your stuff, take pictures of your things. Even when you specifically ask them to stop they will enter without permission or notice. And you just know after you move out some other young person is moving in thinking ooh what a lovely freshly painted flat. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. Tell your kids to avoid. Tell your friends to avoid.

I've never been so poorly treated by a property management. My apartment was changed over to Leef in November (about 1 month into my contract). Since this, they have been extremely unreceptive, unresponsive and unprofessional. I've sent over 30 e-mails about the issues with my flat, which included mold on the carpet (over a 6month issue). Any time I call the office, the reception lacks empathy and the property manager of Tobacco Wharf always seems to be 'too busy to handle my query.' It is actually shocking the lack of responsibility and professionalism this company has. At the moment, the only outcome for me is to proceed legally. I would absolutely avoid any business with this company, as the 5 star ratings seem to be very misleading or fake.

DO NOT RENT with Leef Property Management. Avoid them and save yourself the stress and troubles. I had issues from day one, the property had not been cleaned, with grime everywhere (inc. skidmarks in the toilet, food stains on the doors and skirting boards, cat hair), the property had damp and mould, the sofa stained from damp, damaged fire doors, left without heating for 27 days during January, massive drainage issues with sewage ingress into the property for weeks; to name a few things. Which meant I could use the shower for around 2 months, use the washing machine, even had to be careful flushing the toilet as not to flood the flat. They are slow to do any work or repairs if at all and will mark work as complete, without ever doing it. The staff are very slow to answer calls/emails. All they care about is getting somebody to move in and sign for the property, after this they offer no help and ignore you. STAY AWAY - read the other recent reviews this is happening to others too.

Oliver Carter from leef properties deserves high praise for his exceptional responsiveness. Oliver consistently replied to my inquiries promptly, often within minutes. He ensured that I never felt neglected or left waiting. I highly recommend his services to anyone in need of a responsive and attentive professional. Kudos to you, Oliver, for your outstanding responsiveness!
