I had raised few issues with my rental…

I had raised few issues with my rental flat, Carl Tettey was extremely helpful and followed up with me on a weekly basis and provided update and assured me all issues will be resolved. He was very caring and he does actually care about the tenants. Carl is easy and friendly and he is quick to respond and easy to talk you. I'm grateful to him for sorting all issues out with the property in a timely manner. Thanks Carl. You deserve the 5 star!

We have been with Dextors for a few years since they took over Douglas Martin's and to be honest, initially it was very difficult as there didn't appear to be clear lines of communication, with various names being involved.However more recently, Monika has been front and centre for all of our enquiries, complaints and coounication in general and things have improved greatly.I look forward to hopefully giving 5 stars this time next year.

First tenancy experience

First of all I have no previous experience to compare with but I as per my opinion Dexters really tries to provide good service. There are minuses and pluses, but in general I have a good opinion about this company.I was checking in my apartment but it was not clean at all. Dexters could manage cleaning service of the carpets on the 24 of Dec right before Christmas.But after check in I have been receiving a good assistance from Property Management as well as Maintenance teams.Many thanks to Jada Palmer for her willingness to help, address the issues and quick communication with the owner of apartment.

High quality property management from Donalina Gargrupe

I have worked with Donalina Gargrupe, who has been an excellent property manager. I really like the fact that she has always consulted me quickly about any problems that arise in a calm and professional manner, as well as making sure I get reasonably priced quotes for work that needs doing. I have appreciated her advice and feel she has helped me to be a good landlord. I have not always had the communication I want from property managers in the past and wish there were more like Donalina!

I’ve been really impressed with the service from Dexters during the process of selling our house. Gaz did a really good job in his valuation and strategy for selling the property, we had lots of viewings which were all well communicated and an offer within 4-6 weeks of the house being on the market. We’re now in the final stages of the sale and we’ve been lucky to have Nataly supporting us along the way, I’m sure everyone knows house sales can be stressful but having Nataly’s support throughout has really helped and our move will be complete in a good amount of time. The Dexters team have been really great and proactive throughout the process- would definitely use them again and recommend to others!

Absolutely useless team of managing…

Absolutely useless team of managing agents. Always take forever to reply to your emails/calls. Constantly making out everything is our fault. We had a 20 year old bath in our flat, a small crack appeared and when we reported it, they said we were liable to buy a new one. Thankfully I know my rights and this constitutes ‘fair wear and tear’. However, they dug their heels in and it took over a month for them to replace it, at one point they suggested we go 50/50.

Gaz and the team at Dexter's were great in handling the sale of our flat. They were fully committed and succeeded when other agencies failed. The only negative experience was in the solicitors they used in the sale. They were very inefficient and if I hadn't continually chased the solicitors, the sale would have dragged on unnecessarily. I did provide this feedback to Dexter's and hope that they take it on board so that others don't have the same negative experience. However, in terms of the staff at Dexter's, it was an excellent experience.

Cold water during winter…

Renting with Dexters in a north west property that has central heating. Me and my neighbors in the higher floor often experienced the hot water issues during evenings despite the weather is getting very cold recently - Dexter claimed the issues are fixed and reassured, and indeed I had some lucky weeks that didn’t need to take cold showers, however, here we go again, the issue is back and we again only have cold water, in the evening with freezing weather outside. The building is not really well managed I’d say, and despite it took two week to investigate the issues, it persisted, so if you rent with Dexters, be prepared to deal with 100 issues constantly and inconvenience.

It all comes down to the individual…

It all comes down to the individual agent you have as your contact, and I count myself very lucky to have Fahima as my contact. I have been with Dexters for many years and have had good experience over the years, but I find that Fahima is outstanding. My wife and I met her at the apartment and found her charming. She has also dealt very proficiently with a contractor who did a very poor job and who were uncooperative in returning to remedy the problem (and who in my opinion Dexters should never use). Eventually I gave up with them, and Fahima found a very satisfactory alternative who was new to Dexters. In my opinion she is a great advertisement for Dexters.

Been in the apartment since Sept last year I won’t lie there where some issues that got me angry I.e Mould, the house heaters , where to mount my bike to name but a few but am happy to say that from the moment I got in touch with Poppy he really made sure that all the issues are sorted out, he is prompt in answering emails and following up. Renting and support after moving in

We have rented from Dexters. Our property viewing experience was good as Jack Beacom arranged for us to view the property twice before deciding. However, we felt a bit pressured when we learned many others were bidding for the rental and it felt like a now or never decision. After moving in we raised multiple repair issues which Talia White promptly dealt with. Talia is responsive and considerate as a property manager. Overall, we are happy with the support after moving in.

Helpful, diligent and polite

I am a landlord and recently asked Dexters, specifically Neil Plit, if they could or orchestrate activity to meet the new fire door regulations. Neil has been exceptionally accommodating and kept me updated every step of the way. Neil was also very helpful, efficient and empathetic when there was a pipe leak in the last year. Their contractors are always first rate and diligent in their work.
